Titanium Backup Pro Not Working - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

I rooted using Towelroot. Installed SuperSU. Installed Titanium Backup Root (free version). Then I purchased the Titanium Backup Pro key. It's not working. Any ideas?

Mine works fine. Try rebooting your phone, see if that helps. If not, factory reset and try again.

I tried a reboot and it didn't work. Second time I tried I turned the phone off instead of hitting restart, waited a minute and turned it back on and now it's working.

I can't get into Google play store anymore on any of my accounts. Is there something wrong with Google right now. I did a factory reset and everything. Won't let me use an existing Account
Titanium worked great. Now I have this issue

I had trouble with titanium. Turns out, in preferences in tibu, it had "use system busy box" checked. I unchecked it so tibu would use its own busy box and rebooted. That fixed it. I won't give the million details of what I tried before I found this

For me it's saying that my external sd card is not writable. Anyone else get this?

Because the SD is not writable to non system apps in KitKat. Use the SD fix app and it will be writable.

Tried rebooting. Tried long pressing the power button to reboot. Nothing seems to bring it back if I press on the Android icon, it says app not installed. I honestly don't know how it happened. I am revone s-off btw. Rooted stock.

Do you see the messaging app in settings >all? If so, tap it and see if it's disabled

Do a search in Titanium for messages. See if it's frozen. If not, try restoring it
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I looked, I found it but there is a line through it. It's not frozen and I can't restore it. I do have a backup of my texts. But not the actual app.

Anyone willing to make a backup of the message app, not the data , just the app in titanium? Can you send it my way? I think I should be able to restore it in titanium.

If you have a file explorer like root just extract the messaging.apk from rom zip you are using and move it over to /system/apps. Give it proper r/w permissions and reboot

I copied over Message+Nonprime.apk and Message+Nonprime.odex.
Those two files were already in the system/app folder, and i was asked if i wanted to overwrite. i did and rebooted.
Still no message app. didnt work
Edit. I deleted those two files after it didn't work, then copied back over. Rebooted and it worked. Thanks everyone for the help.

Is titanium backup fixer needed anymore?

I'm moving to safestrap and was wondering if I still need to apply the tb fixer after restoring apps?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
I didn't use the fixer the last few times I restored things with Titanium and everything seems to be fine.

No Sir. Installed the zip, wiped dalivik and cache, then rebooted. I didn't see anyone say anything about permissions. I did search on installing the white keyboard and came up blank on my phone. I even tried restoring just the app. Thanks again.

How to unroot?

I've just rooted my device using geohot's towelroot.apk and now I can't use my ISIS wallet app for my free Jamba Juice smoothies. I'm searching around and I can't find a method to unroot.
Kies3 isn't working either as it says "firmware initialisation is not supported by this model"
PLEASE HELP!
Edit: I've also tried to use SuperSU to unroot, but it won't let me update the binaries and just force closes
Edit 2:
*** PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR ALL OTHER USERS THAT HAVE THIS ISSUE
I found out that you cannot use the SuperSU downloaded from the play store as it will just force close. Download the apk from this link: http://download.chainfire.eu/447/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip
SuperSU should be able to update itself successfully after you open the application. Afterwards, you can use the permanent unroot option from the settings and that's it! I'm going to go get my free smoothie now.
I AM HAVING THE EXACT SAME ISSUES AND NEED TO UNROOT ALSO.

You should be able to download xposed, then rootcloak, and hide root from ISIS. Works on my M8.

Yes, I already found this out with my wife's AT&T Note 3. Xposed plus Rootcloak is the answer to Isis not working with root.

Yes. You will install the superuser apk that is floating around if you haven't already and then update the binaries after you open the app.
Then go to settings in the superuser app and do the permanent unroot. I also uninstalled the towel root app too just in case. Then reboot and you should be unrooted.
