T mobile roms on att? - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm new to att and the locked boot loader. On t mobile with the s 1-4 I know we could use almost any rom out there. I've been a fan of evils roms and want to see if I can get one on my att phone. I know we are stuck with the stock kernel so how would I go getting a t mobile rom to work with safe strap? Evil uses the aroma installer so I know that won't work. Right?

Well from what I've read so far it looks like a no. Well hope some more Dev goes on now that everyone is able to root.

No way to port? Wish I knew what I'd have to change for it to load. Build prop. Apn. Frequency?

Credo mobile custom Roms?

Does anyone know if I can use sprint custom Roms on a CREDO HTC One? They run on the Sprint network, but have their own weird activation process. I assume since I'm already activated the phone will continue to work just like when I flashed phones previously on Verizon.
Anyone have experience with this?

Yes you can. I have viper running on mine under CREDO Mobile.
Sweet, thank you. I assume the flashing process is the same, nothing weird I have to do?

It's all the same. Just be certain its for the sprint variant and not verizon/etc.
Excellent.

I'd also like to note that I was able to install and use cyanogenmod snapshot M9 and slimrom 4.4 roms but I had to tweak the APN networks such that they were n.w1.ispn instead of n.ispn. After doing that, everything was peachy.
ViperOne auto-detects this and it isn't an issue.

Sprint Lg Flex

I have a new sprint lg flex that I unlock using the ls980 method but cant seem to get service running on att like I did my ls980.
Just wondering if there was anything I can try to get it working..

Let me see what I can do about getting you a recovery ... Can you go ahead and get the tree ready?
BTW nice work on the g2 use your rom on my g2 now lol
No because it will take some testing. I haven't built one with the spark enabled Rom on the g2. So chances are it will be different mods.

ok just seems this phones are so close I wouldn't be surprised it the modem is the same . Luck I don't use my flex rightnow so when we get a good loki recovery I wont mind flashing anything
I agree, we will see what happens soon. I'm surprised the build prop method didn't work. Did you try to change the apn settings?

How hard to port T-Mobile ROM?

As Dev is booming in T-Mobile section, how hard is it to port a ROM for use on our phones? I have basic ROM building skills and such so in my boredom may take a stab given a proper start...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Shouldn't be hard at all. Just remove the T-Mobile junk, change APN settings and some build.prop settings.
I am willing to test if you want to take this on.
I am personally desperate for new ROMs.
Just remember to ask any ROM dev for permission to port.

secure box

Not sure if this is the proper thread guys so dont kill me. Since my company moved to verizon i have noticed that my device does not have the secure or blocked box under the messaging app. i was wondering if the sprint devices had it in their devices.
Are you talking about this?

Ok what are all the benefits of dual booting a phone or ROM? Thanks

So you could run TouchWiz when you felt like it and aosp when you felt like it without having to flash.
