Hello all
I have an unusual problem a few weeks ago my phone died due to low battery. I was locked out of every thing, no access to recovery(it was an unrooted phone with a locked bootloader and stck recovery) and the only way i could fix this problem was to unlock the bootloader which then finally allowed me to factory reset.
Well now after 3 weeks it did it again,so i thought sod it and flashed twrp and a viperrom but still my phone will not boot up it is just stuck at boot loader.
Please any advice would be grand.

How can you try a custom rom like ARHD if you can't get into custom recovery, You can't flash a custom rom from bootloader only an RUU from fastboot.

Nope that has not worked, last time it did this i had to unlock the boot loader so my pc could access the recovery now it is the other way round, at the top of the bootloader i now have tampered, relocked and security warning........ I am really stuck now. And to think all of this is because i was watching a video on youtube and my phone was totally stock in every way ( well i got it new from ee and i did not root it)

Hi, very new user here. I managed to root my HTC One M7 and flash CM11 without any issue. The problem came when I tried to flash a stock ROM to recover SMS backed up using Sense messaging (long story, couldn't find a way of reading Sense's .hbk file without returning my phone to factory..)
I know that with such limited understanding of the process I put myself in, I should have just left it alone, but I didn't and now I'm here!

Thanks for the reply, though unfortunately I can't get into recovery even after completing the first set of fastboot commands (fastboot devices, flash recovery, erase cache and then reboot bootloader). All that happens when I select 'recovery' is a loop straight back into fastboot USB, with the 'active cmdline overflow' error. I understand how this has occurred and I also see how I could fix the problem if I could get into recovery, but this is where I'm getting stuck. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I have now managed to access recovery by doing the following:
1) Download this: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4qdsfbEDD7UVmRYWG50Nnl4WVE/edit - it is CWM 6.0.2.8 and it seems to be the only recovery image I've actually got to work so far.
2) fastboot erase cache
3) fastboot flash recovery CWM_6.0.2.8_M7.img
4) fastboot erase cache
5) fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then entered recovery. From here, I'm not sure what to do...
EDIT 2: The fact remains that I'm still S-ON with HBOOT 1.57. This looks like a job for @cschmitt or @nkk71 perhaps..?

Hi all,
yes, I can confirm, that S-ON with HBOOT 1.57.... does not work . Any idea, please? I've tried probably every combination with fastboot commands and differned recovery images, still no solution ..
Have you tried this tool by dexter93? I have, but . . . "Device not found" So no luck with testing this. (As I am new here and not allowed to post web links yet, I post it this way.)

Good luck!
I had unlocked and rooted my HTC One 802d (x.xx.720.x) with S-ON. ALso changed the recovery to TWRP. Accidentally erased /system partition in TWRP and bricked my phone. Try may things to restore but unsucessfull, in that aslo relocked my phone.
My phone now shows only the bootloader screen. Recovery is also not working. If i select recovery, phone reboots to bootloader screen. Please help to restore my phone.

Since there is no RUU for your phone, you will need someone who has a nandroid backup. What you would normally do would be to install a custom recovery and push a stock rom or custom rom to your phone. Unfortunately, I can not find either. Do you know anyone with a similar phone? If so, you might ask them to make a nandroid backup.
Have you tried to install the custom recovery for your phone? You will need to unlock your bootloader to flash it.
Sorry, not much help!

You should still be able to unlock your bootloader, I would give it a try.
The CWM custom recovery might work, I'm not so certain about the nandroid backup. The nandroid is an older version of your phone and since you are S-ON there may be some issues.
You might try the custom recovery to see if it will boot into recovery or OS without flashing the nandroid.

Unlock your bootloader the same way you did first time. Flash the Unlock_code.bin you got from HTCdev.com
Code:
fastboot flash unlock token Unlock_code.bin

Hello, I have a very big problem with my HTC One M7, it's bricked. It's with Hboot 1.57, tampered , relocked, No recovery, no rom and s-on.
I tried to flash a stock RUU.exe
For flashing it I had to lock the bootloader. So I run the ruu.exe and it deleted all from my phone and stuck on "Cheking header - 5%). When I rebooted the phone it was only with bootloader and everything else was wiped.
I tried to unlock it again but after unlocking i tries to get to recovery. But I don't have recovery. If I try to flash a recovery the phone should be unocked. I'm in a circle.
Please help me with this issue. I want to get back with working phone.

unlock the bootloader
flash a custom recovery (twrp 2.6.3.3 preferred)
push a custom rom or a stock reset rom (that match your version) to your phone storage using adb sideload or adb push
install the rom using twrp.

But anyway there is no RUU available that can be used on 1.57 Hboot, S-on and CID HTC__032. So at this point he can only flash a rom using a custom recovery

Excuse me for the late reply. I'm posting the post that helped me:
Use this recovery
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/...2.6.3.3-m7.img
Download and put the file in your fastboot folder rename it recovery.img and use these commands to flash the recovery.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then select recovery from the bootloader menu to boot TWRP Recovery
Put the stock Rom zip in your fastboot folder and rename it rom.zip
While on the TWRP home screen connect your usb cable. In the command window type
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The command window will appear unresponsive until the push is complete (Several Minutes) When its done Install the Rom with TWRP recovery.
When its done Reboot system the device should boot as normal.
Hi all,
So I woke up this morning and power on my phone to find it stuck in some sort of boot loop. It loads to the home screen which seems like it might work but 30 seconds later it reboots on its own.
The phone is stock, unrooted and the bootloader is locked (and S-ON).
I already did a factory reset (wipe cache + data) but didn't work.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader to flash a recovery and a new rom but I'm not able to do that.
I followed all the steps to unlock the bootloader as reported in HTCdev, but after I typed the last command
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
the "splash" screen didn't appear on my phone so I wasn't able to complete the unlock.
Can anyone help me with unlocking the bootloader?? Or did anyone know another method to unbrick my phone that is stuck in a bootloop??
Thank you in advance,
Mattia.

The bootloader unlock issue is well known on the gpe bootloaders and unfortunately, they never fixed it. Sunshine S-OFF willl be the only way to unlock (and s-off). Otherwise you could try a RUU if there is one for your phone (need to know you "fastboot getvar all").

Hi,
I apologize for not answering sooner!
Btw, thank you for the file, but now... How am I supposed to preceed?
My problems are also that:
1) fastboot recognizes my phone, but adb does not. I'm confident that I actived usb debugging but i'm not totally sure of that... so I think that it's why adb doesn't find my phone.
2) as soon as try to do ''apply from storage" or "apply from sd card" in the recovery of my phone... it reboots with ''invalid operation, check cid failed".
Thank you so much, and sorry to bother you again, but i'm a novice.
Cheers,
mattia

1)abd is only accessible from a custom recovery or from a booted OS. fastboot is the only thing you need to flash a ruu.
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip "filename".zip
fastboot flash zip "filename".zip
fastboot reboot
If your bootloader is unlocked, you must relock it first using "fastboot oem lock"
