Ok. That's the reason then. So there's really no other way to flash stock Rom without it being s-off? It can be any stock Rom odes or deodexed doesn't matter to me.

yea that's exactly what I'm trying to do . Is to return it to stock. I backed up stock Rom with twrp before I installed a different Rom but then when I restore back to stock Rom it worked fine a couple times then all of a sudden nuthing happens when I restore to stock Rom it's a blank screen.

So like an idiot I completley wiped the phone and my recovery using TWRP. I can still access TWRP and the OEM HBOOT/FASTBOOT menu but I deleted the OS. I tried to restore using RUU but the program is not recognizing the phone. The computer does recognize the phone though. I'm just suck on the "F" boot logo. Any ideas?
try flashing the 1.8 ruu and then custom kernel then wipe caches and data not system

okay I was able to get back and perform the most updated RUU. I was back to stock rom everything working okay. I tried to unlock the bootloader using the HTCDEV.com method which works as fastboot shows bootloader unlocked but it puts the phone into a boot loop. Any ideas to fix the boot loop after unlocking bootloader?

Okay so I have 1.08 odexed, modded kernel, and SuperSU all on the sdcard and I'm in TWRP recovery. What order should I flash them and what should I do before, inbetween, and after I flash them?

I have success. So far, I'm loving this phone.
So i just flashed ViperROM for my Sprint HTC One and it seemed to install fine but when it boots up the touchscreen doesnt work so i cant even unlock my phone. Touchscreen works in TWRP so it must be a problem with the rom. Bad download maybe? Restoring a backup until i can find an answer.
I don't think it works with the new firmware that was released recently ..viperRom is from the 1.29 release

Ur phone must of been updated to the newest update so the touchscreen drivers was updated. HTC likes to remove backwards compatibility with their touchscreen drivers so u need to be running a Rom on base 1.31

If you have mj4 I don't believe a downgrade is possible
Though you can downgrade from mi5 no problem.
The stock mi3 file is still up at the Samsung update website. I don't remember the link at the moment.

Yup I knew that was previously the case, and was pretty sure there was no workaround.
I hate when they do cap like that to the bootloader.
I'm going to take that as confirmation, as I knew back when mj4 first came out and I was maintain a Knox safe root thread. There were a few issues of people tripping Knox Even on a complete stock uprooted phone attempting to downgrade to run the Vega files.
Just hadn't looked into it since then wasn't sure someone hadn't worked around it.
Though why you would want to go back to mi3 is another question.

Yup, there are a few stock mj4 options (with or without root)
Check the development section.
I personally usually use Odin to flash the full official Samsung mj4 tar.

Just to go Security>Permission control > disable root permission
If you are using any third party root permission managers like SuperSu
Just uninstalling them would work.

Just use the mj5 restore as long as your not on official kitkat. If your on official kitkat then bestbuy is your only option.
