Bricked again... - Sprint HTC One (M7)

SO. I went through and fixed my phone from a complete brick earlier this week. I went through and fully recovered it with stock ROM. I went to S-Off and again it messed up. Tried to reflash ROM and BOOM bricked again. Sadly I am giving up trying to make this phone as awesome as it should be. SO for the last time I need help refixing this phone. Last time I was stuck in Bootloader menu and could only fastboot so the HTC One Tutorial Rescue by BD619 helped. NOW I still have OS and Radio. The same fix will not work for some reason. I can flash 5.03.651.3 firmware, but everytime I put TWRP recovery on it and unlock it, it gets rid of the OS. I cannot boot into my OS and adb push a ROM for the life of me
Here's my Bootloader Stats:
*** TAMPERED ***
*** RELOCKED ***

HBOOT-- 1. 57. 0000
RADIO-- 1. 01. 20. 0515

OS-- 5.03.651.3
eMMC-- boot 2048MB

I've tried sideloading too. I have the right drivers. TWRP is currently on there even though it is locked.

You need to push the rom while booted to recovery

I can't push anything :/ I followed the Tutorial you made very carefully. It did work last time, but this time it's different. I think it's because the Radio, and OS are still on there, I'm not entirely sure. Last time I did this I was able to boot into OS and change settings before I pushed the ROM. This time I'm not able to do this.

So, while in the bootloader, you are getting Fastboot USB and you CAN or Cannot use any fastboot commands? Which S-Off were you using? The Hboot shows Re-Locked, Can you try to unlock it via HTC-Dev again?
Just trying to get some idea's for you.

[Q] Stuck at bootloader - Wiped OS - S-ON

Ok, so I am one of those idiots that accidentally wiped his OS. I was stuck in a boot loop and got a little click happy when I was choosing what to wipe during the reset process.
Here is my question (as everything I need is downloading)...
I am stuck at bootloader/recovery...and have S-ON. Will I be able to flash back to a stock (or any) ROM?
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.55.0000
RADIO-1.00.20.0913_3
OpenDSP-v31.120.274.0617
OS-3.04.651.2
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I upgraded to 4.3, rooted and was doing fine until I got the dreaded reboot loop (Boot to OS and work for about 10 sec before rebooting again). Decided to do a factory reset, and like I said, got a little over zealous.
So, what I have read (at least I think) is that unless I get S-OFF, I am screwed. But how do I get S-OFF if I can't boot into the OS?
Someone, please help...been working on this all day with no luck.

You can do an adb sideload of a stock rooted ROM based on 3.04.651.2. The only time you need S-OFF is if you are flashing a ROM that is based on a different firmware (Sense 5.5 based ROMS). You can do a google search for adb sideload steps... its pretty straight forward.
Look HERE
Use the guide(if you want to learn some stuff ) or run the 3.04 RUU

Wow, thanks guys. I have literally been searching THIS forum for an hour and somehow the thread with the RUU I need never showed up...of course if I had just clicked on the actual forum it would have taken me right to it.
Thanks again.

HTC One update gone bad

Hello,
I received from phone info that 4.4.2 update is ready for download, I let it download and when it asked me to update I said yes. After update, phone rebooted and I got picture with red triangle and exclamation mark.
What to do? I cannot wait for this to be fixed, nor I have time to wait for my operator to fix my phone, since this will last at least 2 weeks.
It can go to stock bootloader without problem!
How to flash original img to my phone, and let it on 4.1.x until they fix this?
Please guys help me with this...
If it is of any help, I had EU version of phone on Serbian Telenor network.
Cheers...

It was rooted, but I did returned it to stock, and it did get like 2-3 big updates till now without problem (one was 4.3.x as far I remember). It has S-On.
Any hope for me?

Hum, probably a bad flash and the solution it to flash it again, but i guess you can't since it was an OTA.
If you have a backup, you can try to hard reset it from the Bootloader and see if it works.
You could also unlock the bootloader, and flash a stock rom.
You have to google it, i'm sure some other had the same problem.
...so I can unlock my phone even with not entering the OS alone? Will try it tomorrow, cannot do it tonight too tired.
Cheers...

When it happened to me, I just held down the power button for a half a minute and rebooted to Android again and downloaded the OTA again(first time it asks you to install an update, you cancel it, because it's the data that's still downloaded from before and it's corrupted, then you download it again). No unlocking, no RUU flashing.
You just probably downloaded a corrupted OTA data, that's why you got the red triangle.

Unlock the bootloader. Then flash a custom recovery, and then a custom ROM

Problem is that I cannot enter OS at all... only Bootloader (Fastboot etc.), but when phone tries to boot it passes first screen and then stops at loading OS, that's where red triangle is.
Didn't find way to redownload it from bootloader, or am I missing something?

No,if you can't access Android OS, then you can either try to factory reset trough recovery. Maybe that helps.
If not,and if a service center is not an option, then you have to unlock your bootloader, flash the latest TWRP recovery(recommended, you can flash CWM instead) and then flash custom ROM.
How to unlock bootloader, check out this link,it's just above your topic...

...it seems that I cannot mount any of the thingies on my phone, I did unlock bootloader with htcdev, did install custom recovery the CWM, and I did sideload rom to my device, but now I have problem that it doesn't want to go pass the rom screen! ...and when I try to mount something in CWM I get errors, like "E:Can't mount /sdcard"! What shall I do now?

Good tutorial,I'm glad you found it and managed everything yourself:good:.
It's been a while since I S-offed,but I think Rumrunner will be the best if not the only choice for doing it. But check which firmware numbers are supported and which not, don't upgrade your phone too much:laugh:.

You are doing too much at a time:laugh:. Go slowly:laugh:.
What's your firmware number? Install a ROM that goes with your firmware number. For instance don't install Sense ROM if you have GE firmware installed.
When you get this right, S-off your phone and everything will be easier from there. And like I said, don't upgrade your phone to a too high version because not all versions of firmware are supported(I think so, I'm not sure).

Hehehe, moramo pričati tako, da nas svi razume:good:.
In English:laugh:. You have a 4.3 Sense firmware. You have to find a stock ROM of 4.3 Android that matches this firmware number.
Than go to Rumrunner theme and read instructions about how to S-off you phone. When you're done with S-off, you remove the tampered flag and lock you bootloader.
But first, install stock ROM and S-off with Rumrunner. Then we'll continue:good:.

[Q] VZW/S-On/Can't Flash Roms/Can't Get S-Off/ADB and Fastboot Work

Nov 8 2013, 00:54:21.23263
The other day I tried flashing a Rom in TWRP and it failed mid-way saying that it couldn't mount the System Partition (that's from my memory, I don't remember the exact message). I looked it up and someone said it may be a problem with my recovery, so after painstakingly booting up a Windows 7 Virtual Machine (I'm running Windows 8.1), I finally flashed Philz CWM. However, the same dumb error happened. Since the ROM failed halfway, I can't get into Android. I've tried factory resetting obviously, but that didn't work. My next thought was to flash an RUU, but since my device is S-ON I cannot. I then tried pushing REVONE (which appeared to be the only one you don't need a ROM to do), but I kept getting errors when Preparing it to S-OFF (I'm assuming because there's no OS?).
So long story short, I can't Flash Roms because my system partition isn't mountable, I can't flash an RUU because I'm not S-OFF and I can't S-OFF because I can't boot into Android.
If anyone has any idea on how to save my phone, get S-OFF, or fix the system partition please help!
Thanks in advanced.

well your phone was s-off at some point because you can't unlock the bootloader otherwise. why is it back to s-on ?
you'll have to try and format data in twrp and sideload a rom to the phone with adb
I'm actually not sure... I ordered the phone off of Ebay rooted and it was S-ON (the device was running CM 10 when I ordered it around a year ago.) I'll flash TWRP and format, and hopefully that will do the trick. Sideloading on CWM doesn't work at the moment. Thanks

I wiped all of the data in TWRP and tried sideloading but got an error. I then tried pushing the zip onto it and got another error (some protocol errors or something), but then after restarting and trying like 10 different times I finally got it to push the zip, and then after like 10 more tries I got it to install. Phew. Thanks for the help

[Q] Updating to Lollipop with CWRM.

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, I have done lots of searching, and have failed miserably. A few months ago I attempted to root my HTC one but was unsuccessful. Some root checkers said it was rooted, while others said it was not, including Titanium Backup and Airdroid. I received a notification that there is an update on my phone, but I'm unsure if I should try it, considering I'm using CWM recovery. When I boot my phone holding the volume down button and pressing the power button, it says: "**TAMPERED ** *** UNLOCKED*** M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH HBOOT-1.57.0000 RADIO-4T.28.3218.04 OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909 OS-6.10.531.10 eMMC-boot 2048MB DEC 15 2014, 17:32:16.0000"
I tried to do the OTA update, which failed, I'm assuming because CWRM is installed. I did some searching and found an RUU tool, for lollipop which didn't work, giving me a 155 error. After doing some searching, I believe it was because my bootloader is unlocked. I also tried another RUU tool to try and get my phone back to factory status, I believe it was "RUU_M7_UL_K443_SENSE60_MR_TMOUS_6.10.531.10_Radio_4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L_release_405711_signed_2(1)" which also failed.
After doing some searching, I found a tool called Revone, which I pushed to my phone and attempted to follow these - http://htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-...actory-settings-for-warranty-repairs-0149204/ instructions, although it gave me an error saying "Failed to open framebuffer device". Long story short, my phone is still saying Unlocked and tampered, with S-ON..
Considering the fact that my phone was never truly rooted, should I attempt to root my phone completely, then run try the revone method again? Do I need to lock my bootloader to complete the RUU process? At this point I don't care if my phone is rooted or not. I just want to upgrade to lollipop. Any help to lock my bootloader, or remove the custom recovery, or just get lollipop loaded would be greatly appreciated. I figured I could simply download the ROM for lollipop and push it to my phone, but I'd rather have it back to stock, so I can attempt the rooting process again, and have a rooted copy of Lollipop. Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!

Firs things first, revone will not work on your current bootloader version. Revone only works for hboot 1.44. The only method that will work for you to achieve S-OFF is sunshine, and this costs $25. There are no other current methods that work
The ERROR 155 happens when you are trying to install the wrong RUU for your phone. Can you post a fastboot gatvar all please and remove your serial no and IMEI?
You cannot flash an OTA via custom recovery, it needs to be stock recovery. I think this might be your version here >> https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95864024717072433
You could try flashing the recovery through fastboot which should give you stock ROM and try the OTA again
Bear in mind tho, if you do update to lollipop now and you have a bootloader which is RELOCKED and TAMPERED there are currently no ways to achieve S OFF at present to reset the status of the bootloader to LOCKED and remove the TAMPERED message. So if you needed your phone repaired under warranty this would be very difficult
I would suggest getting S OFF anyway
**EDIT** I would check with http://theroot.ninja/ to see if it will work on a later hboot i.e. 1.61 - I think you could achieve it, if you wanted/needed to, using a 4.4.3 stock ROM. But see what you think yourself

that RUU ==== 6.10.531.10 ====== should work, just relock your bootloader and try and run again with your phone already in fastbootUSB mode, if it errors, please post the error code.

Can you point me in the right direction on how to do this?

use this RUU http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/
again relock your phone, use the manual update instructions, locked/re-locked bootloader required.
to lock the bootloader you will need to know how to use fastboot commands ??? do you ???
simple command "fastboot oem lock" without quotes, then do "fastboot reboot-bootloader" for changes to take effect, it should now say ***TAMPERED*** ***RELOCKED***, run the RUU.
This worked! Thank you so much!! The only reason I wanted to root my phone was to use Airdroid and Whatsapp, to message from my computer, turns out they have a new feature which doesn't require root, so I'm all done!! Thank you so much for your help!

if you do want to root now you've updated, its very easy, just unlock your bootloader again at HTC Dev, flash TWRP recovery 2.8.5.0 from here: http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/m7/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-m7.img
once done, put this zip on your internal storage and flash it from twrp recovery: http://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU
reboot your phone when flashed, open supersu from the app drawer and update the binary if required, when asked, select TWRP method not normal.
anytime you want to return to full stock again, like to receive newer updates, just flash the RUU again as per my last post instructions.

Can't get back to stock. Computer won't recognize phone now.

So my current setup is this:
Tampered
Relocked
SecurityWarning
M7_MLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT 1.57.0000
Radio 1.01.20.0904_2
Open DSPv32.120.274.0909
OS-3.04.651.2o (the little o at the end of this line is highlighted)
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I'm just trying to get this phone back in working condition so I can give it to my daughter. But nothing I do is working. Currently phone boots into some old version, not sure what. But I can't do over the air updates because it just reboots into the bootloader and won't finish.
I've refreshed back to stock from the bootloader, and started down the path found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618524
to get S-OFF (NOTE: I'm on hboot 1.57 and it's for 1.55, but I have no idea how to get back to 1.55)
I got through the first step (tricking it into thinking it's on version 3.04.651.2) and now when I do an adb devices, it isn't seeing my phone anymore. Also, I seem to have lost recovery? I had TRWP on there and now if I try to select 'recovery' it just returns to the bootloader screen and won't go into recovery any more.
Help. It literally just want to wipe the thing and put something useable on it. Stock, rooted or not, whatever. If I try to update the software on the phone from within the phone settings, it reboots into the bootloader and gets stuck.
Thanks in advance!
Probably the easiest thing to do then is to flash the full firmware first. Then run the RUU. You probably can get by with just the RUU, but it sometimes errors out if the firmware is not flashed first. You can get the firmware and the RUU (along with basic instructions on how to use them) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795856
