Nexus 5 Android 4.4.4 OTA KTU84P From KTU84M - Nexus 5 General

Hi Guys Here Is The Latest OTA Captured Android 4.4.4 KTU84P

I wish to have something like that to flash in TWRP.

Wow. This is such an original development.

Is this literally just the changes between 4.4.3 and 4.4.4? If so this is good! Saves a complete rom flash!

yeah man
the OTA is just 2.5 mb
i flashed it over stock 4.4.3 with xposed gravitybox and elementalx kernel
works really really great
thanx to style2345
cheers

I cant update my N5, not over OTA nor stock recovery with adb. I'm using stock ROM 4.4.3, CF-Auto-Root, Xposed, GravityBox, iOS7

I flashed it over stock 4.4.3 with franco kernel and everything great.
could u plz provide it for Nexus 4 as well?

Wow thanks for this, It'll save me time.

My install has failed. I uninstalled Xposed framework (through the app as indicated) and restored a volume setting back to stock. The error message I get via TWPR is "/system/priv-app/systemui.apk" has unexpected contents and E:error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/download/update.zip'
Any thoughts? Thanks.

it's weird
why don't you flash ota with xposed frame active? try this
at me....my xposed was active / elementalx kernel .....and i flashed it without any issues
cheers

I had a little trouble getting root and Xposed back after flashing this, but I finally managed. For root, I had to get a newer SuperSU version; was having no luck with 1.94, which is what I had on hand, but 2.00 works. Xposed was my fault; I forgot to do the uninstall step before flashing. Changing the Xposed install method from "classical" to manual SD and recovery worked.
The MD5 for this file is 7b4e4e887ec853c4721bdb1a54eb0749, if anyone needs it.

Kinda small considering there is a new radio!

Concidering how bad the last was that's probably all it is.... Joke
Please fix the F/C on this application. Thx.

How are you guys flashing it with modifications? are you unrooting the phone first? It failed in TWRP for me.

Anyone noticed a grey line of pixels on the right of screen ? It does it on my home screen but disappears when in an app.

I did not unroot, but I lost root after flashing. Re-rooted with SuperSU 2.00 and all is well.

Can i flash this from TWRP? I'm on stock 4.4.3, franco and rooted. Thanks!

Use this thread
The thread:

has all the answers for you guys! Read about 9-10 pages back and I am sure someone would have experienced what some of you might be experiencing

Perfect. Lost nothing, not even root (survival mode in SuperSU is always checked for me). I only uninstalled xposed just to be safe.

Ok my ability to make calls and send text was lost after flashing this in the morning. Flashed 4.4.3 radio and it seems to work now. ?

Lost root after flashing SmoothROM 4.4

Hey guys. I got my grouper yesterday, I'm hoping for a warm welcome
The first thing I did when I took it out of the box was fire it up, unlocked and rooted. When I rooted, I flashed SuperSU flashable. I also flashed CWM touch. After that I flashed SmoothROM 4.4, and I was solid. I installed all of my usual apps, then went to do what I call debloating, (Looking for apps I don't use such as voicedialer.apk, and deleting them) using root browser (/system/app). I noticed it wouldn't delete, then tried another app that requires root permissions. Nothing. I got suspicious, then re-downloaded root checker. "Sorry! You're device does not have proper root access!" What happened? Is this just me, or is this a widespread problem with this ROM? I'd like to keep this ROM if possible. Is there a way to re-root my device (more or less)? Thanks, a response or any help would be very much appreciated.

Rom specific questions need to be posted in that rom's thread. Do not start new threads about custom rom issues.

[Q] Error message when accessing SuperSU

So yesterday I decided to root my HTC one, after the 4.3 update.
After I unlocked the bootloader, I couldn't root using TWRP because the touchscreen wouldn't work when I booted to recovery. I figured out that I was using an old version TWRP, and once I updated TWRP it seemed like everything was going to work. Now I have SuperSU (updated to the newest version via app store) on my phone but when I try to open the app I get the following error
"There is no SU binary installed, and Super SU cannot install it. This is a problem!
If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the relevant forums for your device"
Uhhhh any ideas on how to fix this? This is the first time I have tried to root so I don't have alot of experience with this. I can't post in the Dev page because I previously had been a lurker and never really posted.
same problem
Same problem here.
I have T-Mobile HTC one that I convert to Google play edition.
After the update to 4.3 I lost the root.
Please help.

How to install xposed framework in Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910C) in marshmallow?

I have bought a note 4 SM-N910C. I'm planning to update it to marshmallow manually by odin and then root it and finally install xposed in it. But how to do it? Can anyone help? I can do updating and rooting myself. But I am not getting any tutorial on installing or flashing xposed in a marshmallow note 4 SM-910C version. And also I am not getting any zip file of xposed framework to flash for it.

But the link you provided has the xposed framework for 6.0

I myself installed that by TWRP. It worked fine. I think it is not bootloop. You have to wait several minutes. It takes long time to boot at 1st time. 15-20 minutes I guess

When I had my Nexus 5 people would make flashable OTA files to be used in TWRP, is no one doing this any longer? All I can find is how to sideload the OTA.

Ok, so, I got my phone updates, however, I had systemless xposed working on it, MM 6.0.1 (MOB30M) however when I went in to try and enable the modules, it gave an error (a long one) so I thought that maybe I didn't have the correct version installed, or wasn't rooted right, so I went back into recovery, re-rooted, and installed 85.3, now it says that xposed isn't installed at all. So for now, I went back to my 5.1.1 restore. Any ideas?

You have to reflash xposed. It is in the system partition so you will have to redo it after making room as google now fills up the system partition almost completely.

was the systemless updated to work with the new security measures built into the update? You have to remember that with each update google is making things like xposed harder to get working. It is well known that sooner or later xposed all together will no longer be an option.
So I would check all the changes that the update did to see what it changed. I nor most the people I know have not used xposed in a long time so I really cant say for sure

Yes, used, Great job, Mr Chainfire

So what about getting root?

Now that many 5C models have the emui 5.0/nougat update, has anyone tried rooting it yet? Also is it still the case that Xposed is still not available for nougat??
yeah theres no android N xposed even abdroid 8 is coming already... i dont see point on rooting without xposed since theres no root adblock apps.
I like to install sound mods and I use lucky patcher to remove ads and get in-app stuff, freedom app as well. They all need root. Just downloaded open kirin twrp for emui 5.0. It's been deleted from xda posts but seek and ye shall find. I also have the revolution recovery twrp for nougat but although it worked for emui 5 beta, apparently it doesn't with the proper release. I downloaded superuser for emui 5.0/nougat so now I'm going to do various backups and give rooting a go.

waiting for official ota is good to be sure that region is correct so youre able to make calls and text, but NEM-L21 has only one region so it doesnt matter if you use official OTA or use proxy method.
Okay so I have successfully rooted my phone by flashing super user zip file through twrp! Damn shame Xposed framework is not available for nougat though but at least I can install sound mods and can use lucky patcher to get rid of ads in apps and use freedom to get free inapp stuff. Be careful though, I and some other user noticed that restoring backups from this TWRP will result in a phone with no sound at all. I don't know if this is fixable, factory reset don't put it back to normal.
Other than that, this TWRP seemed, but I can say for sure. In any case, DO NOT RESTORE BACKUPS from this TWRP.
