I'm going to use chronicaust's directions for the download booster, except I changed the download booster to the mobile hotspot, since the directions for the shortcut are nearly identical.
TO GET THE QUICKSETTINGS TILE: ROOT ACCESS IS REQUIRED.
1. Download SQlite editor version 2.1. It's 2.99 in the playstore, unless you obtain it free from somewhere else.
2. In apps, find settings storage > settings.db > system
3. Search for notification
4. Choose Notification_Panel_Active_App_List (there are a few VERY similar ones, make sure its the right one.
5. Add WiFiHotspot; Make sure you don't forget that semicolon.
6. Reboot
Mine was a little buggy, so I deleted the shortcut.

Thanks for the response. I ended up using Power toggles app.
Add widget to home screen.
Modify widget by clicking add.
Add WiFi hotspot item.
Click done in upper left corner.

Should have looked for my similar thread first before posting a new one but here ya go:

I changed build.prop:
ro.product.name=kltexx
ro.product.device=klte
The last tile on the becomes "Wi-Fi hotspot" (next to Toolbox).
The pull down also changed: now it has "S Finder" and "Quick Connect". 4G LTE icon also changed to 4G and 4G changed to H+.
Then for some reason, even I remove AT&T's Mobile Hotspot app by Titanium Backup Pro, after a factory reset the icon comes back in Apps, without AT&T's provision though.

Is there a way of disabling the mobile data warning?

Specifically the one in this screenshot http://imgur.com/THpg57A
I like to toggle mobile data on/off as needed and this is incredibly annoying.
Thanks .
Just go to setting>data usage, adjust the data warning line(yellow)

That's not it, the warning has nothing to do with that. It's specific to Sony devices.
Download the app elixir2 open it up and select system apps. Go to phone and select view details, scroll down to services and search for DataTrafficExceptMmsNotifier and disable iz
Thanks, worked perfectly for the notification when disabling data.
Now I just need a way of disabling this popup when data is enabled and I'll be happy.

[Q] GPS On/Off Shortcut on Home Screen - NO ROOT

Hi All,
I tried all GPS Widgets available on Google Play but none seems to be functioning. Some do nothing and most of them will just open the GPS phone menu, where you have to activate GPS manually. Is there a way to turn on/off the GPS via one-click shortcut without root?
Thank you.
The simple answer is (unfortunately): No.
Just use the quick settings in pull down menu?

That's location, not GPS. There's a slight difference.

Correct, using Location from the Quick Settings does not allow to turn on GPS only without having to confirm over and over again not to allow Google access.

Lollipop and Mobile Data

I know this is all over the web but, all the activity I have seen is a month old so just thought I check out. Is there a way to quickly diaable mobile data. Seems absurd to me that google actually removed programatic access to this funcion.

Settings / data usage / cellular data toggle. I think it used to be under more/ cellular networks. You can also tap the cellular icon in quick settings and you'll see the toggle at the top.
This is on 5.0

I know of that path, What I meant was: every single apn disabling tool I tried stopped working. Before I used tasker to trigger APNDroid, but that's gone now. I think I wasnt clear before, sorry!

If you have root you might want to try my app/widget Toggle Data 5.0. It doesn't change APNs but I think it fits your purpose well.

Data usage menu has disappeared.

I am unable to set my data limits out check my usage. Can someone help me figure out what i can do to get it back?

Turns out it was Automate app. I uninstalled all addons for it and it's self and the menu came back after a reboot.
