I think you might have to downgrade your radio. I used the same thread to unlock mine. I put BadBoyz rom on mine and then downgraded my radio to 1.00.20.0315. That solved all the connection issues for me. Also you have to pick WCDMA preferred after you go to *#*#4636#*#*"

[Q] Using 4G on Sprint HTC One when GSM is enabled

Hello,
I recently acquired from ebay a used Sprint HTC One M7 for cheap because the guy couldn't unlock it.
I followed all the tutorials and guides here, and got the phone unlocked, TWRP recovery and SuperSU flashed, S-OFF, and a custom rom (Viper) flashed on it successfully.
I am from France and my network operator is Free.fr. I used both the *#*#4636#*#* and the Mobile settings to enable GSM and the phone, SMS, and 3G data are all working properly.
However, my operator allows for 4G LTE as well and I would like to use it if possible, while retaining the use of the Phone itself (making calls, texts etc).
The way it works for Free.fr is that I have to login on their website, and enable 4G manually. The server will then check if my phone has 4G LTE compatibility and enable it if it does, but everytime I try it tells me my phone is not 4G ready.
Is there anyway to do this? A guide or tutorial out there perhaps?
edit: more info:
It seems I need 2600 MHz frequency for 4G to work with my operator, could it be that the Sprint version cannot handle this? Any solutions?

Yeah :/ the Sprint HTC One only supports the 1900MHz for LTE. There aren't any solutions afaik, unless you might want to do a hardware mod, and doing hardware mods on an One is near-impossible.. so you're out of luck.

Ah well, that's alright, at the price I got it for it's still worth it even without 4G. Thanks for the reply!

I did exactly what you did and I had signal. I am from France so I don't know about AT&T though. With my French operator it works fine now.

[Guide] Sprint Htc One Sim Unlock | HBOOT 1.57 | Works with AT&T

First off, I had absolutely no luck with any of the other methods mentioned on the forum, so I decided to write up how I (finally) managed to get my HTC one to work with an AT&T GoPhone sim card.
1.) Get Sunshine for S-Off, I wasted 3 days trying to find a way around paying for it, but finally caved.
2.) SuperCID: fastboot oem writecid 11111111
3.) Flash the RUU from this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586704 or here: http://click.xda-developers.com/api/click?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_142045584221011&key=f0a7f91912ae2b52e0700f73990eb321&libId=fa116373-28cf-4bc7-9e8a-f2fe6623deb1&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D2586704&v=1&out=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidfilehost.com%2F%3Ffid%3D22979706399752930&ref=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.xda-developers.com%2Fsprint-htc-one%2Fgeneral&title=%5BComplete%20guide%5D%20to%20SIM%20unlock%20your%20HTC%20One%20%E2%80%A6%20%7C%20Sprint%20HTC%20One%20%7C%20XDA%20Forums&txt=Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.10_RUU.zip
- I had to fastboot oem rebootRUU then fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
- Check to be sure HBOOT is downgraded to 1.44
4.) Be sure to root the device, either using custom recovery or TWRP app from play store
5.) Run the sim unlock helper available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2983865&d=1414183159
6.) Here's the one part that isn't widely mentioned for the specific issue I ran into with this unlock: You need a sprint sim card to "trick" the phone into searching for networks.
- Type in *#*#INFO#*#* (*#*#4636#*#*) and change your network to WCDMA preferred
- Be sure that the Sprint sim card is in the phone
- Go to Settings -> Mobile Data -> Network Mode and set to GSM/UMTS Only (You should have no signal or bars with X above them)
- Click on Available GSM networks -> Select Automatically
- Switch the SIM for the AT&T Sim (It will show 'no sim warning') while it is searching and then click on Available GSM networks -> Search networks
- Select AT&T (or Maritime)
- Device will register, however, the settings are lost on restart and I haven't managed to get data yet. (If anyone can help with this, I'd greatly appreciate it!)
UPDATE: I have managed to get data working. After traveling from my suburb to the city, I lost signal and discovered that a window pops up asking to connect to network. I chose ATT again, which reconnected with data.
Any chance you could post a video on how to do it?
I'm a complete noob and dont understand half of the stuff your saying.

SIM-unlocking

So this Summer I'm traveling to Europe for a month and would like to SIM unlock my phone so I can use a European SIM card to stay connected on the trip, I know I'll need to have it unlocked so it'll work, but Sprint only does a temp unlock for going out of the country and relocks it when you come back (I believe) and I figured, since I'd like to also switch to T-Mobile later, if there was a way to permanently SIM unlock? Also as a bonus, anyone know a good telecom company to use going through multiple EU countries? One where I don't have to get a new SIM everytime I go to a different country?

you must have a custom recovery and you must be rooted
Procedure
flash the zip attached here through your custom recovery
install a terminal emulator if you don't already have one
type in the following code
Code:
su
am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm/test.TestMainActivity
now a menu is going to show up, select the API option and scroll down until you see the SIM UNLOCK option, not the other sim unlock with some other letters the one that's just sim unlock
click that option, the cell is going to turn gray, now you wait till the cell returns to normal

So when you mean that, just that I won't be able to use it with a US based GSM carrier? Any way to get around that?
there are no tested ways around that, In theory every htc one has the same hardware so theoretically speaking if you get S-off you could flash the factory unlocked's RUU and convert your phone to a complete factory unlocked model, that way you could use a gsm us carrier, you should note that before doing this you may wanna change the model id and cid as well, you could supercid or use any other unlocked variant's cid, but this is just in thery if you wanna go ahead and try it yourself it is not my responsability, once you're s-off you could hard brick your phone and end up with a paper weight
If I am soff, flash wrong ruu then in theory I should be able to flash back right ruu and recover, is that true?

Hello i try to test on a HTC one M8 Sprint and this is what i get:
"Error: Activity class {com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm/test.TestMainActivity} dos not exist. "
the SIM_UNLOCK was apply via custom recovery, is rooted and have s-off, version 4.4.2.
since you're s-off you can try changing your CID, there is an all-in-one tool that will help you with that on the FAQ thread for the sprint m8, just change your CID to 11111111
help sim unlocking htc one m8

Anyone to direct a link ?… of already SIM unlock ?…….. Ruu…. Am in superCID 111111??
the terminal command is wrong
After hours of research i was able to unlock it using other modelo phone threads
I didnt use this flashable zip I used the HtcOMADM_SPCS.apk found on a sim unlock thread, if you will i can upload when im home.
The correct command is
Su am start com.redbend.vdmc/com.htc.omadm.test.TestMainActivity
To unlock HK version simply do SuperCID flash reg sprint RUU versión 1.xx.xx android 4.4.2
And do the process, then freely flash back HK edición RUU also tested by myself
@jseb14
Can u direct me how to unlock ? it via… .dat apk… ..coz am already in superCID 111111 and S-OFF…. Plzzz

Sim unlock H/K edition on 4.4.2 (question).

Hey guys!
I got the M8 HK edition with 4.4.4 onboard. I found the guide on Russian forum which resembles guides posted here - flash to 4.4.2 deoxid (I used InsertCoin 3.0.4), then run SIM unlock helper ect.
Looks like the unlock did work because when I inserted SIM card, the "SIM info" popped up. But still I'm unable to switch to WCDMA mode or GSM/UMTS and no connection to carrier network . If I do that from settings>mobile data the phone says "no SIM found . Switching to CDMA". If from other menu (dial *#*#4636#*#*), also no luck, and it says "radio turned off" (something like that).
As you've already guessed, the situation is weird - I can see SIM services, and at the same time get "no SIM found. Switching to cdma" message and can't make the phone hook up to carrier network.
Bootloader unlocked /rooted
S-ON
HBOOT-3.19.0.0000
RADIO-1.08.20.0916
TWRP 2.8.5.0
Please let me know how to solve the above problem. Or any suggestions - flash older kitkat or switch to lollipop ect.
If you need more info, I'll provide it.
Thanks in advance!
