[Q] M7 restart 1 minute after starting - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
My battery got drained yesterday night and i charged the phone when it was off.
When I'm starting the phone everything looks OK but after a minute its restarting.
I'm using TEAMWIN recovery, so i tried to clear cache and dalvik cache, which did not resolved the issue.
I restored an old backup and that backup works just fine with no restarts what so ever.
What can be the issue? how can i load my phone? even just for 20 minutes so i can backup properly.
Please help!

Could not find a way around it - pushed new rom

Could not find a way around the issue but i think the cause was an air update (on a rooted phone+TeamWin recovery)
I pushed a "reset rom" (from htc1guru) without deleting data. did all the setup and app downloading during Germany-Ghanan 2-2, so it wasn't that bad .

[Q] CM9 Reboot Issue

I just installed CM9 via the Novacom2 method. The tablet seems to reboot itself after a few minutes of being booted up for no apparent reason. I can start up the device, and not even touch one thing, and after a bit it will self reboot.
Anyone experiencing this? Should I do a reinstall? Novacom2 method, or a complete factory reset with CWM?
CM9 runs extremely smooth otherwise, but I can't have it up for more than 5 minutes with a self reboot. It's bizarre.
Thanks in advance people...
I meant ACMEInstaller2 where I wrote Novacom2 ....
The only time I got random reboot is if I try to overclock. I went to replace CWM with TWRP today, and checked in CPUspy something quick. I had 36 hours of up time (remember this only dropped 4 days ago). Initially I tried to OC, even only going one step up I got freezes, and reboots. But leaving it at stock frequencies I have zero stability issues.
I would say to start fresh. With a fresh downloaded copy. Go into CWM and wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache, advanced > wipe dalvik, mounts > format system, data, cache, then reinstall, and install the charge fix. Then don't restore anything, and see if that fixes it.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)
that may be the route I go. After about 15 reboots it is currently holding steady I have not made any interventions.
As a side issue, I get email notifications but the email app crashes upon opening. Gmail works fine though....

Try fixing permissions and wiping up cache from CWM, that fixes the reboots after power-on for me.
It used to do it if I left the screen to go off, but is fine now
I too am having reboot issues, but it only happens when I'm doing something. So far trying to open the Photoshop PS Touch app will cause a reboot, clicking settings in boat browser, etc. It's strange as hell.
I as well get the stock android mail client crashing when opened but its notifacations and gmail all work. I just installed maildroid and disabled stock email and seems to work OK

I have the same issue, but normally when the screen is on, it always reboots when I try to connect to usb storage, I have a galaxy s2 running on stable(nightly had too many bugs). anyone has the same problem?
I usually get reboots when I let the screen turn off due to inactivity. I tried installing TWRP and doing a clean install from there but it rebooted at the setup screen for CM9. I've had reboot issues since I first installed CM9, but its improved a little bit. I did try uninstalling android completely then reinstalling, but still got reboots. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
I think the best thing to do is use ACMEUninstaller to complete remove Android from your TP, then reinstall from scratch. I had reboot issues after upgrading from CM7a2 until I did a complete wipe.

[Q] Random reboots, bootloops, etc

Ok so I'm pretty sure my phone is done for, but I thought I'd see if anyone knew a solution before I go buy a new phone
Yesterday I dropped my phone (which was running Slimbean), but I popped the battery back in and it worked fine. Then about three hours later, it randomly shut off while I was using it, then started going into a bootloop. Occasionally it will start up all the way, but I'm lucky if its on for 10 minutes before turns back off and starts bootlooping again. I got it to boot into CWM, (the first time it shut off while I was in CWM) and wiped everything and reflashed Slimbeam, but it didn't change anything. Any ideas?
Go back in and do wipes on everything but external drive reflash wipe cache + dalvik cache + fix permissions then boot. Let sit 10 minutes before doing g any setup with Google or phone. This allows all drivers to load and configure prior to having more data to configure.

[Q] Booting issues - help required

Hi all,
Tonight my XL decided to die on me, so to speak. What happened is the XL was just sitting on my computer desk doing nothing, I was on Facebook on my laptop, and then the XL suddenly made the boot animation sound, and I was quite confused. I tried pressing the lock button and it did nothing, so I left it for 5 minutes and still nothing had happened, so I took the battery out, put it back in and tried turning the phone on. It went to the boot animation and played the sound, but it just stayed at the boot animation, I left it for 10 minutes and still did nothing. I did a nandroid backup in CWM, did a total wipe, emptied cache, cleared dalvik and battery stats and tried restoring the rom. It restored successfully but when booted, it went to the boot animation and kept doing the same thing, staying there. The last thing I remember doing was installing Lookout from the Play Store. My phone was running Total Senseless v4.1.1 (WTF Edition) and had the LTX Kernel v0.7.7. It has an unlocked bootloader and is also S-OFF. I had the rom installed for around 10 days and it was working fine, OC too. If it matters, it was from Vodafone AU. I flashed Ice Cold Zombie v1.4 (I think) on it around April last year, but I had made a nandroid backup of the original rom and restored it a few months later due to battery issues. I then stayed on stock until I flashed the current rom. Any help would be greatly appreciated
If any other info is needed, I will try to provide it if possible.
Thankyou,
~Epic

If wiping data didn't help getting rid of the bootloop, then restore your nandroid backup & flash the WTF rom again.. this way ur system will be wiped with a fresh install while keeping the data intact..
or just to make sure things are smooth with the device, you can try flashing any of the stock rooted ROMs from <- here ->
OK, I will try that, thankyou.
OK, I tried that and it didn't work, just stayed at boot screen again. When I get home I will try flashing a from from your link. Thanks

[Q] My phone has strange reboots...

Hi! I'm going to explain this situation (sorry, but I'm using the translator for this )
I've been using CM12.1 for some time (almost a year), and the only issues I had were restarts for RAM saturation, but one day, then one of those restarts started happening every 5 minutes. I thought maybe some app was the cause, and I started uninstalling the ones I could at the time it worked normal, but when I tried to uninstall the Twitter app, I realized that the problem started there. Immediately restarting, so I decided to freeze the app with LuckyPatcher. So far so good, but today I tried to upgrade to CM13, but I could not get into TWRP, I had to flash CWM, but when I tried to give a factory reset it was reset to "format / data". All other partitions are formatted, but Data is the only one that is giving me that problem.
What's going on???

Question Xiaomi Note 11 stuck to rebooting into recovery mode 5.0 after unlocking the screen

Hi, sorry for the bad english. My Xiaomi Note 11 worked perfectly fine for months since I bought it, but last night I accidentally left it charging for the whole night and when I woke up, it suddenly rebooted to recovery mode. I rebooted it back to system, which reboots the phone as usual, then I unlocked the lockscreen, everything went perfectly normal, until it rebooted again to recovery mode. I tried rebooting again, but it rebooted again to recovery mode after I unlocked the lockscreen. I tried booting it to safemode, but it went the same way. However, when I leave the lockscreen unlocked, it doesn't reboot itself. I tried turning it off and rebooting it with the screen unlocked but it did nothing. Do you guys ever have the same problem? Is there any way to fix it without wiping the data? I have some banking apps and other data that would be difficult to recover if I were to wipe out the phone.
I have the same problem too, I think it might have to do with the new update Xiaomi pushed to European devices in the last few days. We'll have to wait and see if they push a fix/if we find a fix...
Exact same problem, started appearing today. This is so weird. I already wiped data and the problem persists; went thorough the setup with no issue, and as soon as I finished it and the phone goes to the main screen, after a few seconds it started appearing again.

Can you give us an update if it works? I also post the problem on Reddit and some people there were also able to fix it by wiping the data.
Will wiping the data fix the issue, if it does, please do let us know

I found a way to do so. The problem is that once the phone is unlocked you have a few minutes before it gets booted into recovery mode. So:
Step 1) Have the phone connected to a computer before booting it up, with file explorer in the "this pc" category (where the phone storage will appear)
Step 2) boot the phone and input the password (if any)
Step 3) QUICKLY pull down the notification bar and press the usb options notification
Step 4) QUICKLY press the second option for file transferring
Step 5) QUICKLY open phone storage from pc once it pops up (at this point the phone screen will probably be black with a white loading circle but the phone storage is still accessible!!! You now have a few minutes to transfer any data you want)
Step 6) QUICKLY search through phone storage for any important data and copy/paste it to your computer
Sooner or later the phone will be booted to recovery mode and the mi logo will appear and the phone storage will disappear from the computer so repeat above steps until all your data is backed up.
If a file transfer gets stopped while running, copy/paste the data again on the next "run" and choose to ignore files that are already copied. With this method I managed to backup all my photos and files before wiping the phone.
This problem might be due to a problematic firmware update. My phone was running MIUI version 13.0.12(RGKEUXM) (europe version). I wiped the data and updated my phone to version 13.0.13(RGKEUXM) after setting it up just in case. I will update this thread if the problem reappears.
I am running RGCMIXM (13.0.16.0) and have encountered the issue. Really annoying. Did the wipe all and had no success. I hope someone can help find a fix. No feedback on the issue i logged thru the feedback app to Xiaomi.

Which wipe method did you do? Just a factory reset or a reflash?
