Sim unlock - Motorola Atrix HD

Hey guys. Been awhile. But wife destroyed her iPhone and so I still have my atrix I was gonna let her use. But it's locked on att obviously. Any tools out there to unlock it?

You will have to purchase an unlock code as there is no free method to unlock the phone. Cost would be around $10.

@deeje00, really bro? Lol
A random question from an Atrix HD guru like you?

Well last time I unlocked a phone it was like a Nokia when there was online calculators... Lol I was really hoping to not have to spend money.

Actually there is a free way of unlocking it. It does, however, required some way with words and a clean phone (meaning no be record) Just call your provider and tell them that you want to unlock it for another company. I called AT&T and said I wanted to unlock it for T-Mobile, the lady said to give her my imei number and then she gave me the unlock code. Free!!!

Sorry for not replying earlier, didn't see the post...
I successfully used gsmliberty.net, but this was a few months ago (a bit less than 1 year). But I had used another unlock provider before this.
I must have unlocked 5-6 phone in the past 3 years and only got "scammed" once.
Not bad odds for a 10-15$ product that is "grey market".
Local stores charge 30+ dollars for same thing and Canadian providers charge upwards 50$ (if they even do it).

Atrix HD sim unlock

please help me. I wont sim unlock for atrix HD and please help me.
I have no information on sim unlocks and haven't seen any either. If I find stuff out I will let you know.
EDIT: http://unlockatt.com/motorola-atrix-hd-unlock-code.html
Charging for it... but there one is.
Isn't there another way to do it using RSD Lite or some other Motorola utility? I remember I have done it before on another Motorola phone and didn't have to pay anyone for it.

Insert your locked SIM card into the phone and restart the phone. You will be prompted to enter the unlock code once the phone reboots.
Hope that helps. I did it today using a code I got from www.cellunlocker.net
It took less than 24 hrs.
Hello Atrix hd forum.
I unlocked mine (bell version, Canadian) last night for $20. Took less than 10 minutes.
A little disappointed as mine was advertised as unlocked already when i bought it, but wasn't. No big deal.

I bought it unlocked. AT&T update locked it!
Hey there everyone!
I bought my Atrix HD unlocked from eBay, it all worked fine until yesterday a message from AT&T came to my phone saying there was an update. installed it and now my phone is locked!
I spoke on the phone to a customer service representative and he said that the contract Motorola has with AT&T doesn't allow them to give unlock codes (?) and that I should try calling in a month or two.
Is there anything else I could try before buying an unlock code online?? Please help
Interesting question!
Anyone here with the same problem?
Can you unlock the phone twice with 2 different codes?

You will get the unlock option by restarting your phone after putting in a Sim card other than the original carrier Sim.

No its not possible at all. You will have to pay your phone bill.
Contrary in what you believe in, throughout all phone history, there has been only a few phones you can fool with the unlock codes, like the galaxy line, and really old nokias. Really !!!
Unlocks go around $13-17 on ebay, mine took 3 days so I was fairly dissapoint.

Atix HD not able to sim unlock. (Imei rejected)

Hello there.
I bought a Motorola Atrix HD with the purpose of using it in Tmobile with Tzones. The thing is that ive been trying to buy the unlock code and no luck so far. Its been 10 unlock services sellers and every one of them tell me that my Imei have been rejected or not working ? they refund the money and thats it, nobody tell me nothing.....
Anything of this had happen to anyone here ?
That mean is another scrap phone i bought ?
thx
Sorry didn't have this issue. The unlock code took a bit longer to get on this phone than any other, but they sent it to me within 7 days.
I used unlockunit
Sim Network Unlock
My Atrix HD doesn't seem to want to read my sim card. It SHOULD ask me to input a sim network unlock code, but it doesn't. Is there a way to force that prompt? I ask this as I wait for a unlock code from an unlocker site.

the only way i know is turning off your phone, insert the other provider sim (it needs to be already activated/working) then turn it on and you will see the prompt
Sometimes phones sold are stolen and reported then there imei numbers are bad or frozen the original owner needs to reclaim it if that's the case in order for the imei to be unlocked

You don't need to pay. If you are lff-contract, then you can call AT&T and they will give you an unlock code, free of charge. I have done it on multiple phones.

[Q] How to unlock tmobile Z1s

I just recently bought a z1s coming from an s3. so far i love how smooth and fast the phone is. The camera quality is pretty bad however but thats beside the point. I need to unlock my phone does anyone know how i can do this? i heard the bootloader is locked or something, does that affect the phone being able to be unlocked? any help would be appreciated thank you
What I know your phone is Locked and it cannot be Unlocked, there is no workaround, thanks to TMO. You will still get Root anyway so is not so bad.

but ive seen ebay sellers selling Z1s factory unlocked. So theres got to be a way, tommoro ill call tmobile and see whats up i just dont know what to say
It will unlock with an unlock code. You can get that from T-Mobile. If you bought the phone outright, you can get the code from them. If upgraded, then you can wait 90 days... Or, 40 days, I've heard both. I don't know if those third party websites can unlock it with the code. Yes, the bootloader is locked, but with the released kernel source, we will have root once someone can figure it out.
Coming from the S3 like you, I know of that hidden menu that allows you to SIM unlock Samsung phones, from my research I've done, I don't think Sony phones have that. It needs a direct code.

Lets clarified, your phone can be SIM unlocked, No Booloader Unlocked, this are 2 different things.

i just looked at the tmo sim unlock requirements. I need to pay the phone off fully and have had it for 40 days before requesting an unlock code.
this site however says i can purchase an unlock code for the Z1s, has anyone used it before? Im scared of giving away my IMEI but idk if theres any risks involved with that

I bought the unlock code for my Z1s online, different seller but worked none the less. Took about 4 days turnaround on the code, Sony unlock codes seem to take longer to generate than other manufacturers. Many of us have been buying unlock codes online for some years now, I've never heard of any IMEI related issues.
tbh i think im just gonna return this and get the LG G2. do you guys know how i could avoid paying the restock fee?

I work for TMo and can tell you that the official policy is that the restocking fee is only waived for defective devices, and then only if it's being exchanged for the same model. That being said, it's often left to the rep's/manager's discretion and some may waive it for you. I often waive it for people just to be nice, but it really just depends on who you go to and how strictly they are adhering to T-Mobile policy.
