Yeah says it's up to date and I tried flashing through Odin but USA doesn't have the firmware available. Everywhere else does tho

The US Country code I have is XAR, I don't know about the OP. I am still on Android. I have the Gear 2 Neo and want Tizen for my Gear 1.
You can flash with an other region code using Odin... Like XAC...

Hi i just got my galaxy gear today and i rooted and got recovery on it but after doing that i discovered i was suposed to be on mk7 update and im not but now i cant update it says ive messed with the device so i cant update is there anyway to undo this or a stock rom from canada i can flash on it to start over thx.
I think all you need is Odin to flash the MK7 UK update file and you will be good to go. That is the update file coming to the USA next week.

awsome im downloading it now so ill keep my fingures crossed. ive never been good at rooting things i get there eventually but takes me a while :laugh:

You will be fine. If this 47 year elder can do it, you can too. Post your results. When done and Gear rebooted, go back to settings in Gear-about Gear-tap build number or software 7x to get developer menu and reelect USB debugging.

So the UK And the US mk7 version are the same? Im in US and ive flashed the UK to get full notifications.

All done it worked have had no issues that some have reported love having the new watch faces wish I could tether my bluetooth from the note so I could take full advantage of the gear but oh well. Keep up the good work guys

Don't laugh guys I was also having problems finding this. I'm new to android and didn't realize what's involved to determine which rom. A lot of sites have other carrier rom s but not for the att model.

what guide did you use to flash lollipop 5.0 and what did you upgrade from? MI9?

Tested it out with Fibs. As of right now I think the only thing you can do is push sounds to it. However, I have been able to remove stuff.

I don't think there is a debloat list yet. In theory you could remove everything but the watch is pretty much debloated as it comes.
I know devs biggest concern now is the camera record limit on the Gear 2.

Anyone in here updated to the Oreo update that leaked, able to connect to their gear devices?
I tried the update. But my gear watch won't connect via the gear app. I'm assuming because it's unfinished software.
Switched back to nougat for the time being.
Having the same problem on my Note 8 on that Oreo leak. Hopefully someone has an answer?

Its a stand alone file called update.zip you put on your SD Card and update to.

The Oreo builds are leaked and require you to be on specific builds of Android. I recommend that you do some research yourself and if you find yourself overwhelmed then you should hold off.

This was a while ago. I sideloaded the gear app and it fixed my connecting issue. But I eventually came back to nougat anyway for various bugs that I didn't want to deal with. I didn't use sammobile for anything. I used the links in another xda post. I believe it was the one about flashing carrier specific firmware. I used Odin to get back. Now everything has been as it was before I tried Oreo. It's been about a month, maybe longer since I've done all of this. I'm waiting g patiently for the official Oreo update. I hope that answers your question. If not, just ask.

Okay well thanks for your help, also waiting patiently or at least trying to. Just want the list view in regents, seems a great feature from the Oreo ROM and would be really useful to me

whats the difference b/w both 2 version.??
odin is round 3.6 GB
7zip is around 2GB.
did odin one included BL,CPand CSC while 7zip only AP?
