What is Paranoid Rastakat?
-Paranoid Rastakat is a project I have been working on for a month or two now. When I was away to study for APs, I used Paranoid Android and Rastakat as my daily driver. Sometimes Minimus, but mostly those two ROMs. I kept switching between them as I liked certain aspects of one ROM compared to another. Both delivered what I needed and were amazingly stable and fluid. So when Finals and APs came to a close, I decided to try and bring the best of both worlds together with the philosophy of Minimus. I'm happy with the results.
Can you add x, y, or z into Paranoid Rastakat?
- It depends on whether Rascarlo adds it or the Paranoid Android team adds it. I want Paranoid Rastakat to be a ROM that sticks to what it is meant to be from the start.

Thanks! I was looking for this combination. Just one question do you recommend a kernel with your rom or stock is fine? Thanks again!

Thanks, good job.

I'm not sure as I haven't use my n4 since the n5. Your best bet is to test them all out if you haven't.

Yea but I noticed since Android 4.4.3 the battery life isn't that good anymore. Only get like 3-4h screen on time. On Android 4.4.2 I got 5-6h. Kind of weird.

@jarjar124 Awesome rom. Thanks for bringing it to mako.
You can also use it with franco or hells or whatever. ?

Good job man and finaly rasta with theme engine

My two favourite roms merged together, wow ?

Bug??
This rom is a fantastic idea. The 2 best roms combined...love it !!
The torch tile doesn't work. Not for me anyway.
The only thing i would possibly add that I can think of is ascending ringtone. If not don't worry. Love the rom anyway

that's for the kernel as far as I'm aware and the kernel that comes with the ROM is stock.
I'll add it later when I find the time. For now jus look it up on github if you really need it.

evilisto said:
no.... and sorry AOKP rom users... I don't have much time to compile this mod for each roms, so I compiled stock AOSP version only and made cm9 and pete version using that. this is not much difficult because all these roms have same "recent apps" source code... but AOKP rom's source code is little different because of its horizontal(WebOS style) app switcher option. so to make AOKP version, i think compiled from source code is better than editing smali. (mainly because i don't know much about smali editing ...)
but i think... if many users requested this, they can easily include this mod in their rom as another app switcher option..
anyway, i'll post source diff soon so you can easily compile aokp version yourself.

[ROM] AOKPCB ROM ⋮░ Built from AOKP Sources

Hi everyone,
I would like to introduce another ROM which is based on AOKP. This is not my work, and I just want to share it with. Scar45 made the theme for this rom. you can follow him
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1629194.
Also you can check his mini-website for theme on nightly roms as well. As you can see in the tile there are 12 supported devices till now but more are coming.

This looks kind of cool. Just wish it toned down the circuit board graphic.
Agreed, i liked the little hints of circuit board you've decided to add. But you went kind of overboard with it, in certain places. (like the notification pull down menu)

Testing it right now.. I like it! It has loads of options in rom control. Like changing lcd density and software buttons on/off/customization. I haven't seen this before.
I like the option for weather in pulldown menu, but unfortunately I get "Rom control has stopped" message when enabling weather service.
EDIT: Maybe because I forgot to install gapps But now another problem. ALL apps I had bought from Play Store it wants me to buy again. I'm logged in to my google account and looking at the list of not installed apps and it asks me to pay for them..! Solved by downloading any free app I guess? Now all is marked as bought.

I'm downloading now! Thanks! ...but what do you mean with open/close? Currently, the problem with most Roms/Kernels is the scrolling speed, the screen responsiveness (lag) and smoothness of transitions (random stuttering).

I'm sorry I really wish I had logcatted the thing. I restored my backup right away as I was in urgent need to my sdcard access. It was during office rush hour so logging the issue didn't occur to me.
If this could help, file manager couldn't find the external phone storage. It simply said the card wasn't mounted. As a result, attachments in messenger and email couldn't be saved. Also, in the manager, no folders or files were listed.
The rom, however, was rock stable, fast, and by far the most beautiful custom for this device.

why don't you apply as an official maintainer for p880?
seeing the stability of the rom, they should accept.
and thanks.
Because is not that! simple.

i don't know if going official really worth it, unnecessary headache i would say the only advantage i see would be update notifications, which could be easily implemented using goomanager. unless of course if slimbean decides to implement delta updates, i would be saying different thing.
oh damn, just got cm 10.2 nightly installed and configurated.. now slimbean with 4.3 is out and gotta redo it cause slimbean just pwns

@demetris_I is right. for making it official you need to spend way more time into the project, and you need two (official and "good") alpha/beta testers.
so you see, he has a lot of time to lose
i'd love do see it official, too, so i offered my support however i can, but it is, and will always be, his decision. and we all have to accept it

Same bugs as cm10.2 or different?
Sent from my smart frying pan (Tegra 3)
Thread cleaned.
You're not entitled to anything, if you feel the need for a bug list flash the ROM and compile one yourself. You'll find out how much time it takes. Don't go around demanding all kind of stuff but do it yourself instead, and if you can't do it yourself; learn to. XDA is still about all kinds of development, not making your phone custom and shiny.
sad
No...no...no.Not again!I just want to test, try and learn.
I am electrical engineer.I plan and build power plants.
I can shut down cities.I can sync power plants and in parallel.
But, for me there is no stupid question. For me there are only stupid answer.
