you can't S Off after this sense 6 update it contains hboot 1.57 which is unhackable
Better try before update up to 1.55 full hackable 1.56 depends on your luck some get S Off some not

never turn back s-on unless you send the phone for repair under warranty. And if you s-on for this purpose, downgrade the phone before to 1.44 or 1.54. turning s-on on hboot 1.55 and up will make the tampered flag to show in the bootloader after a few reboots so you'll be stuck with this flag and removing it require s-off.
like @yatindroid said, better to s-off now, its really easier to do on lower hboot version. However its possible to s-off on hboot 1.57 but there is no guarantee it will work, better to do it before updating.

Now i have hboot 1.56,what can i do?Firewater works?

you're 1st person who said this
1.55 100% chances
1.56 50-50% chances
1.57 very few chances according to you / 0% according to me
from HTC One

I Don't know why none of you are getting s-off. I had my htc one s-off on 1.57. Seriously. I will share the screenshot later today.

yes its possible to s-off on hboot 1.57

[Q] Revone pb cause of hboot upgrade anyway to downgrade?

Hi, imade le latest Ota update for my Htc one and now i'm s-on and relocked and tempered and my hboot is 1.54 revone doesn't work in this case.
Is there anyway to downgrade hboot 1.54 to 1.44 with s-on of course?
Thanks a lot.
Unlock, flash a custom ROM and see if that works
I've not heard of an OTA that patches the exploit
Or try moonshine
There is no way to downgrade without bricking your device

Hey,
TIME is the solution
Wait till revone team strikes back
If you cant, only one option is left, unlock by htcDEV(you may lose system apps)
Root and then with root,
Revone works perfect

He probably got while still on hboot 1.44 (pre June 2013), and then just upgraded the firmware (including hboot to 1.54), that would not change S-Off status.

Exactly that ^
bobs ur uncle, fanny's ur aunt etc..........................
I guess it would be a good idea to post some pointers regarding this issue.
If you're s-on and on fw 1.54, you can't use revone to s-off.
Since you can't s-off, you are limited to flashing only RUUs that are compatible with your CID AND same or higher fw than you currently have on your device.
So to sum it all up, if you are on a higher fw than 1.44 and s-on, you are stuck there. The only possible way to s-off might be using a java card but I personally wouldn't go that way, even if you found some place that can do it.

So if going from 1.55 back to 1.44 is not possible. And Getting S-OFF with 1.55 is not possible.
Would Sprint be able to reflash my phone with either a working 1.55 or 1.44?

Try to s-off your phone with hboot 1.54 using rumrunner.

Can't get Moonshine to work (Is it 1.54 HBOOT?)

Does the S-OFF Moonshine method work with 1.54 HBOOT (As I see revone doesn't)? I'd like to change my CID as I really miss having the official English Google Keyboard in my Google Edition ROM however it keeps saying

You can if you've got hboot 1.44 but not with 1.54..... HTC closed the exploit with the updated firmware.
If you're s-off with 1.44 then upgrading the firmware won't lose you s-off.

Is it possible to downgrade your HBOOT? I'm guessing not but thought I'd ask! I also read everywhere that's its pretty risky and probably not worth it.

Even if you managed to once you rebooted the phone it would essentially brick, and to boot the new hboot you need to reboot.
Just going to have to wait

[Q] About 1.54 to 1.44 hboot

Hello everyone,
my phone statement is;
1.54 hboot, S-ON, HTC Unlocked, 2.24.401.x FW.
I just found local service in my city for s-off on 1.54 hboot via javacard. I will use that service. And i have questions:
after getting s-off on 1.54;
- How can i downgrade hboot to 1.44? RUU is enough for this?
- Is there a any other method?
- Is Nandroid backups contain hboot part?
- Can i write super CID on 1.54 S-OFF?
- Can i delete "Tempered" flag when i gain s-off on hboot 1.54?
Thank you,

So you're going to pay for S-Off and then intentionally get rid of S-Off, and then upgrade, preventing you from gaining S-Off without paying again?
You know, it's probably best to leave it S-Off.

You need s-off for 100% stock and ***LOCKED*** Bootloader. The reason Is you can't downgrade firmware and remove tampered with s-on.
You need s-off to remove tampered and set bootloader to ***LOCKED*** . And because HTC patched newer firmware you must downgrade before you set ***LOCKED*** or you risk the tampered flag returning after your back to stock.

Hboot 1.54, 1.55 can still gain s-off with rumrunner
Hboot 1.44 can still gain s-off with revone.
If your on hboot 1.56 or above then unfortunately the only way to gain s-off is Sunshine App which cost $25. HTC patched newer firmware against other methods of s-off.
