[Q] Steps to return to stock. - Sprint HTC One (M8)

Have to return my HK M8 to Sprint in the next few days and want to make sure i'm covering my ass when I go to the store.
1. Downloaded and flashed the stock HK rom through OMJ's(man is a hero in the android community)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173
2. Going to mask s-on, non tampered, and locked bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708721
3. Flash stock recovery
4. Done.
Please correct me if I am missing something or messed up a step. Also if anyone has information on the stock HK recovery, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Best Method to Make T-Mobile One into Dev?

I want to put the latest version of the radio/rom on my T-Mobile One. I heard you don't have to root to do this.
1. What's the best method? I saw moonshine and revolutionary for s-off.
2. I want completely stock rom. What's the name of the stock? I keep seeing M7 and RUU, but what does that mean?
3. Is everything completely reverseable so I can go back to T-Mobile rom as if I never did anything...?
THANK YOU!

Need Help Going Back To Stock Sense from GPE

Hi guys, I got an original M7 last year, which was running stock and I flashed bigxie's GPE 4.4.2 ROM. I want to sell my M7 now and can anyone guide me to flashing back to stock sense 4.4.2?

this two guides are a bit confusing, as i was hoping to get a stock sense zip.file in which i can just flash and un-root, re-lock the bootloader and get done with it. I'll be selling this phone to a friend of mine and he said he wanted to try out sense and he'll flash custom rom after he's done testing so I guess i don't really need to go 100% stock as long as it's running sense, unrooted, running stock recovery and able to receive OTA. Can anybody guide me to that? It will be a biiiiig help cause i'm still a newbie in these and it would mean a whole lot to me. Thanks

Look, if he's anyway gonna flash a custom ROM, you're gonna make his work harder by resetting it to stock as he will have to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery, root and then a ROM. So, if that's the case, just flash a Sense ROM like ARHD and sell it to him. So, to flash a custom rom, all he has to do is wipe and flash it.
If, for some reason, he insists on a stock phone which on which he's gonna flash a ROM (makes no sense to me), follow the 2nd guide. If you're confused what to do, I can help you out. Post the output of you're 'fastboot getvar all' and remove imei and s/n
P.S. ' running sense, unrooted, running stock recovery and able to receive OTA ' is a fully stock phone
Except that a fully stock phone is S-ON while you're S-OFF

Help pls: get back to carrier stock with latest updates

Hey guys.
Another one trying to get back to issued state before returning to UK carrier for purple tint camera repair.
I've got my unlocked rooted S-OFFed HTC One M7 phone back to carrier stock Sense 5.5 from a kindly provided TW backup.
The carrier updates are d/l-ing but when it reboots to install it goes into my TW recovery.
I'm on hboot 1.57.
Tried installing stock recovery but I must be missing a step.
1) How to let the carrier Sense 6 updates install automatically?
Thanks in advance.
You will have to get back to stock recovery. It will not load as long as you have anything else.

If you found my posts helpful, Please click thanks :good:
Thank you.
I had to strip a carrier recovery image from a carrier RUU and now all the carrier system updates are installing.
Just a few more tidy up steps and I can return to the carrier for repair with a clear mind ... maybe!
Regards to all.

[Q] HTC One M7 Unroot issues

Hey all,
I'm trying to unroot my Sprint HTC one. It's currently running software version 5.03.651.3 and android version 4.4.2. I was planning to flash a rom on it, but I ended up just putting a custom recovery. Now I want to unroot, so I relocked the bootloader, and flooded qbking77's video, however it wasn't able to go though. Any ideas on how to unroot this phone? Do I need to unlock the bootloader, and flash the stock recovery? or is there something i'm missing.
Thanks
You didn't say exactly what the issue was, but I wrote a guide a while back that walks through the steps to RUU. Feel free to follow it and follow up here or in that thread with issues.

Info On Running The Latest RUU On A Rooted/S-Offed Sprint M8

Hi, need some help/Info on this. I have an M8 (Sprint) running ViperOne 5.0.2, it is rooted of course, S-Offed, & the bootloader is unlocked. I want to sell this and I wanted to return it back to stock if it was a quick & easy way. I was wondering if I could just run the latest HTC MM RUU & let it do all the work but I think I read somewhere that it's not that simple. Is that possible? I mean would that hurt anything or break something? If so what about pointing me to a STOCK Sprint ROM that I could just flash, I haven't been able to find one. Thanks In Advance.
You'll need to update your firmware first, then run the RUU afterwards. Check out OMJ's firmware thread for more info.
