Just a quick status bar morph based on the new Gingerbread AOSP drawables. It changes your status bar and most status bar icons. This morph only changes the status bar drawables, so it SHOULD be compatibile with all ROMS, but I make no guarantees. I use it on Perception FWIW.
Screenshots to come.
Directions:
Copy to your SD Card.
Open MetaMorph
Select "Unzip/Extract New Theme"
Apply it and reboot.
Download here

I am attempting to change the look of the statusbar at the top if at all possible. I am running ComRom 1.3 and would like to change the statusbar as the green just doesn't work for me. Can anyone help me?
You could always use 7zip to get into the file and replace all the .pngs that you want. But beware, there are a LOT of files that would need to be replaced. The battery icon alone is over 100 files. Signal bars is around 8, etc.

Statusbar_background.9, just change the color of it using photoshop or whatever
I was wondering if I could get the all file or files and use root explorer to obtain the desired status bar.

I've tried to change the status bar in the theme that I'm running to transparent using 7-zip and gimp, I can change it but when I reload my theme in recovery and reboot my phone, the signal bars have an X over theme and I can't make any calls. I'm not extracting the .png files just editing theme and saving the .png9 files with draw 9 patch, but still cant get it to work. Any thoughts?

You could use ninjamorph to decompile the framework-res and TWFramework-res.
Ninjamorph will decompile and recompile an .apk without the need to resign it. After ninjamorph decompiles the .apk use root explorer to copy the files you want to use, make sure they are named correctly. Now navigate to androthemes/workspace folder that ninjamorph created for you and now holds your decompiled .apk's and push the files to framework-res/res/drawable_hdpi or drawable-hdpi-v4 it will overwrite the exsisting files. Now go back to ninjamorph and select finish. It will recompile the .apk and ask you if you want to replace it. Say yes, then say yes to zipalign.apk and finally select no for clean-up.
Your phone will go black for about 10sec then reboot.. JUST WAIT it will reboot. If all went well your statusbar will be changed. MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP 1st. Also you can go to youtube and watch a video on ninjamorph. Its a great app. If you need help just PM me....

If you already have the transparent images. Ninjamorph will work for you too. I first used ninjamorph to swap out my battery.png's it worked flawlessly. Go to youtube and search ninjamorph. Watch a couple videos. ninjamorph is free in the market.
Also you need to have transparency enabled. Simply swapping a solid image for a transparent one wont work......

Thank you for your help on this matter. I will start working on it immediately, again, Thanks
I've gotten the status bar transparent, the only thing that I can't get is there is a thin black line on the bottom of my status bar, I've changed everything that I could think of but still cant get it to go away, I'm combining two themes now to see if that will work.
I was wondering how could I copy the notification bar (i.believe this I'd the correct name. I mean the thing thai pulls down from the status bar) from another theme? There is one on a jvp theme that I would like to use with a cooked uot kitchen theme I created for continuum. I assume this is touchwiz related so is it safe to assume it is in twframework-res.apk? If so how can I modify it and insert it in the uot cwm? At some point I'd like to also get the themed swype too.

Best to ask in the Themes and Apps subforum.
Twframework-res.apk doesn't really do much in gb. The notification bar and pulldown now are basically a widget called SystemUI.apk located in /system/app
Thread moved to proper forum.
Sorry for location mod. Thanks for the move.

i have been searching everywhere but i cant figure out how to change the color of the font of the clock in the notification bar on my droid 3 any help would be appreciated
You could flash MAVROM and the corresponding DJmod, that allows you to change the clock font/size/color in the top right corner as well as a lot of other stuff
do you know how to use apkmanager? if you don't find out how,if you can't find out how or where to get it let me know, thats what i use,You have to decompile framework-res.apk, then go to res/values then edit styles xml file with notepad ++

I was wondering how I could make the notifications tray transparent in the Zeus rom. I dont want to change anything else in the rom. Is there a file I could modify, or a flashable zip I could flash?

go to uot..dakra.lt/kitchen/
then go to "file upload tab" upload the framework.res.apk, systemui.apk and do the rest
then go to the "status bar" tab and click use this mod
now check the transparency in status bar
finally go to summary and wait to collect your work
flash it via cwm

you can do it by yourself.
For first start you can read this tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1225432
For make notification area background to transparent, the file that you need to modify is status_bar_background.png in SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-hdpi
(Open SystemUI.apk using winrar)
You can modify that status_bar_background.png to transparent using image editor (photoshop, etc) or use other png file that already transparent. For example, you can take status_bar_background.png from LG UI 3 Theme, drag and drop it to your SystemUI.apk like in Huexxx tutorial, then push it to /system/app

I copied my SystemUI.apk to the root of my sd using Root Explorer. I then connected to my pc. Then I replaced the status_bar_background.png with the one in the SystemUI.apk from the LG UI 3 theme. I then moved the SystemUI.apk back to my /system/app/ folder an rebooted. All that did was make my whole status bar dissapear and unusable. Where did I go wrong?
