I have a problem with my Galaxy Gear. It's crashed in an attempt to flash it via Odin, and now, on power up, it tells me "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.", but connecting it to the pc is absolutely not detected by Kies. How should I proceed? Thanks in advance...

How could you even flash it since the updater-script cancels installation if the device name/model number is not in the list?

he had a soft brick, you had a hard brick.. take it to the service center
This should be posted in Q n A not in Android Development.

Hello everyone ! I have a samsung galaxy s3 mini i8190
I flash CM , but i didn't like it so i tried to install with odin the original firmware.
Problem: Bootloop (logo Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini reboot infinite loop)
I can't enter in Recovery Mode, only i can enter in Download Mode
I use ODIN to try to install CWM , but still don't work..
And i have another problem. When I click start (in odin) it stops at SetupConnection, but if I disconnect & reconnect (usb) it starts flashing.
Please, help me.
Try to flash stock recovery instead of CWM.

I said this in the thread. If i'm wrong, please correct me.
Your kernel is f****ed up. You need to find any rooted stock kernel, flash it with Odin and then flash CWM. You don't need whole ROM, only kernel. Happened to me a lot while I was still on SGS1.
As for connection problem, perhaps clearing all drivers from your win and reinstall them could help.

Yes you did, but I asked you to try with STOCK RECOVERY instead.
It's not always a part of the official firmware package.

REgards !
That method is only for original firmware and not from custom 4.2.2
Then flash stock JB and after you can downgrade, right?
Powered by CM10.1

So it should be about your PC drivers.Uninstall and re-install latest drivers or you can install crappy Kies it will install too
Thanks all guys.
The Phone is on Download Mode now, and Odin recognised my phone.
And the 2.3.6 version is uploading now, and seems it is solved.

Which method you use at downgrading ? Did you use pit file and did you check re-partition on Odin ?

That's why you have issues with it.Downgrading have different method you should use pit file and check re-partition, you can't downgrade with a stock GB.
There's a thread in our i9070 forum.Use the given files in the thread maybe PC can recognize your phone.

Hi all,
Yesterday I downgraded my Jellybean to Gingerbread firmware by using this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100642.
The downgrade was a succes, everything worked fine.
The final step of the tutorial siad: 'Note : You can flash Latest Update for your Country by Odin3 v3.07 ( Optional )'. So I searched for the stock firmware of my country and used Odin v3.07 to update. Now at this point the upgrade failed (NAND Write Start) and I get the 'yellow triangle' sign with the message: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
I can't get in download or recovery mode.
Odin still connects to my phone.
My question is how can I get my Android back to work :s
Thanks in advance,
