Maybe you got a bad install. Try uninstalling Safestrap and try again.

OK guys i am needing a little help with this one. Been running the MavRom 3.0 on my droid 3 and been loving it. I was looking to update to the 4.0 and the CWM will not boot to the recovery screen. Even through ROM manager when I try to "install Rom from SD card" it does nothing. It goes from the Moto logo right to the boot animation. This one is a little frustrating to say the least...I've never had this kind of problem before. Im almost close to doing a damn factory reset and trying the safestrap method. I really would like to avoid this...
Why would you need to factory reset to try the safestrap method?
You shouldn't have to SBF. Try removing CWM and then uninstalling it then install Safestrap.

Ok...I'll remove/uninstall CWM. So what is the best way to install safestrap? I have the apk file on this computer. Really, I haven't had to trouble shoot like this before that is why I am asking.
I have always used CWM since my OG Droid...so Im used to such. I just don't know why I can't boot into a recover mode..
Just install the apk, install the Safestrap into the bootstrap area from the app, then reboot and you can push the menu key on bootup to get into Safestrap.

Hey buddy. So I have CWM uninstalled. Do I need to remove any related files/folders from the root browser? I have the safestrap file in my download folder.

If by CWM you mean bootstrap, safestrap removes all of that by itself if you uninstalled bootstrap

All is good! Got the MavRom4 put on my phone. Thanks for the bit of help.
Hello,
I ran into an issue while trying to install X-Note 7. I rooted my phone via the Kingoapp method and it worked. From there I installed the bootstrap recovery which also installed successfully. I went on to install the X-Note 7 rom by placing it in the ex-card and going into recovery mode. Once there, I created a new rom slot on which I installed the new ROM. It said it was successfully installed and I opted to reboot from there. Since then, it's been stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Page. If I take my battery off and hold down power+volume up+home button, I can enter that recovery mode but its not the same as bootstrap. I do not know what to do from this point on. Any help will be appreciated!

Just do a factory reset from the main system recovery and redo everything over from scratch.

Thanks for the reply! I was able to completely unroot it using the method detailed on the link below. I'm going to reroot it but am afraid I may run into this issue again If I attempt to reinstall the same ROM.

Nah you'll be fine. Something just didn't go as planned. Make sure you read all the instructions listed and don't skip any steps. If you follow Xnotes installation guide to the "T", it will work.
Okay guys so I just rooted my att note 3 that was completely up to date using the towelroot.com method found here. Stupidly of me I was trying to follow a thread to change my system language in build.prop but after doing that It ONLY boots to recovery / safestrap. After the safestrap screen I tell it to continue to boot normaly and all i get after that is a black screen.
Any ideas? Is it possible to flash safestrap from odin / heimdall / recovery?
Ive tried factory resetting from safestrap and recovery and that didn't change anything.
I not even sure I have safestrap at this point I can get into recovery, and download mode but it sits at the "Samsung Galaxy NOTE 3 [Unlocked Icon] Custom" screen. It wont actually progress to the safestrap.
Before I tried to edit that build.prop the root / safestrap worked fine all day today, restarted several times for different reasons and still worked afterwards.
I had no encryption enabled.
Via recovery -
"Android system recovery <3e>
KOT49H.N900AUCUCNC2"
**** This Worked ****
Possibly? this as a fix?
Would this be okay to use as a stock Kitkat firmware resource for an Odin flash?
Anyone have a N900AUCUCNC2 ROM or firmware I can flash?

i have the .zip files for it and odin 3
*it sounds to me like a bootloop or a softbrick, I would recommend using this odin 3 and flash the stock kk rom the one i have is the unofficial and is pre-rooted. but it works when i bricked mine repeatedly trying roms.

That'd be awesome if you could get that to me some how. I more or less have everything fixed but the wake-up after entering my pattern lock is ungodly slow so I'd like to possibly try a different one.

I'm using JB so I installed SS 3.71. After trying everything installing thousands of times Busybox. My safestrap is still not working. Everytime I reboot, the choosing screen does not show....WHY?!
I'm crazy...........:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Did you install busybox app, then open busybox app and install symlink applets?
You can also install this busybox check app to verify you have root access and proper busybox installation.

SS 3.71 doesn't need busybox, only the KK version 3.75 needs busybox can you post your device's about screen that could help troubleshoot...
Using the right version ss, right? I believe there is a separate one for jb.

Looks good, you might want to start over with a clean install of safestrap...
1) verify you have root access https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck&hl=en
2) uninstall busybox
3) uninstall safestrap recovery (in the app)
4) uninstall safestrap app
5) reboot
6) redownload (just in case of bad download) and install safestrap 3.71
7) open safestrap app and grant root access
8) install safestrap recovery
9) reboot
If you get any errors then you may need to reroot or head over to the MJ5 restore thread

After the last step in the restore process did you verify that you have root access and SuperSU is installed properly?

Yes you can go straight to official NC2 here. It's a straightforward odin flash but read all the warnings, once you flash NC2 you can't go back to JB or install any JB-based roms

Sorry I wasn't able to help with safestrap but the jump to KK is easy and with towel root rooting takes 3 seconds..and the kitkat roms out there are great if you're of the rom-flashing persuasion Hope everything works out for you!
Hi, hoping I haven't done something terrible here.
Rooted Sprint Note 4. Stock other than that, including bootloader
Installed Xposed Installer
then RootCloak module
Xposed Installer: Install->Update
Rebooted directly into a never-ending boot loop (Samsung logo, Sprint logo, reboot).
I was able to get it into recovery once, using a little sh script, but it's not working anymore.
When I was able to get it into recovery, I figured I'd try doing a factory reset, to no avail. Same loop.
I just tried repeatedly pressing a hardware button during boot to disable xposed, no result.
I have the disable .zip file, but no way to push it to the device or flash it, since I can't get into recovery - and even then, it seems I need a custom bootloader to do run it.
I did take an adb backup.
Now, I can only get to the stock Download screen (by holding hardware keys during boot).
Any help? Please?
I'm thinking of flashing this with Odin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...-nie-stockish-knox-root-sprint-stock-t2919346
Hoping that is a reasonable thing to try?
Sigh of relief
OK, I fixed it.. I just redid the same process I did when I first rooted - using cf-auto-root.
And boom! Booted back to stock :victory:
Same issue

The first post in the Xposed thread says not to use it on touchwiz UI. Reflash your ROM in ODIN, and wait for Rovo to update Xposed for your system.
Maybe you should check the first posts before flashing something. Samsung roms aren't supported on lollipop
This is a really old post, and people might have already figured this out- HOWEVER, wanam has made a modded version of xposed 87.1 that is supposedly working on TouchWiz ui. Trying now
