In a reversal of what many do, I would like to repartition the internal memory of a Verizon i800 so that no external SD is necessary. As it is now the tablet requires an external SD card for apps and data. It won't leave much room internally but that's how I want it. I want to use the external sd for music and movie files only (no programs).
Has anyone tried this?
Thanks!

I just bought a SD card(8gb) to my SGS but my problem is that, when i'm about to download for example the sd card files(not the apk file) for Dungeon Defenders:First wave it says that there is no room for it on my internal SDcard so how do i install the files on my external sd card(2.5 GB left)? Is it something wrong with my sd card or is it just a setting? Because it must be possible to install the SD files to the external SD card and not just the internal SD card?
PS i got a Micro SD hc.
I am pretty sure you can't dl those files to an external, only internal. Try moving other files to your external to free up some space on your internal.
Thats what I have recently learnt,
its misleading to have a name apps2sd & not able to move apps to external sd.
Apps2sd, does mean moving an app to your external sd, just not the file for gameloft and other games requiring extra dl.
Sent from my Iphone killing I9000
I don't understand what you mean, does apps2sd move the apps which don't require extra dl to external sd?
I don't think so as I cant move them to external by any means it only moves to internal sd partition.
I just got a new revo yesterday, and while poking around I noticed that the 12 Gb of internal memory is mounted as an sd card, while the actual sd card is mounted as a sub dir called _ExternalSD. Has anyone else noticed this?
Yep, you have 16gb internal and 16gb external
Yeah, but the point is that the internal memory is not being mounted as internal, it's being mounted as an sd card (with the actual sd card being a sub directory). I can see several problems with this, mostly with trying to transfer data. Or if you had a 32 GB card that you wanted to use for whatever instead, unless you can specify where a program stores stuff, it's going to store data on the "SD Card", which in this case is not the removable sd card. I guess if you want to transfer stuff you just have to remember to move it all the the "_ExternalSD" sub directory first, or you are going to plug your card in somewere else and wonder why there's nothing on it...
Not sure about your phone but mine saves to the real sd card. things i want on my internal memory, things i want saved on my sd card go to external sd card.
I have a samsung galaxy tab rooted with overcome, jupiter edition. The galaxy Tab has internal memory, internal sd memory, and a slot for external micro sd card memory. My problem is with app2sd apps they always install to the internal sd memory (i assume because its named sd card even though it is internal). What program can I use like app2sd that will let me choose my external micro sd card (memory)?
Thanks for any help.

P. S. I know that there are apps let let you backup to the external card bit i want to install apps to my micro sd. Not anything internal. My microsd is bigger than both internal.
Thanks again.
I have a samsung galaxy tab rooted with overcome. The tab has internal memory and a second internal memory called sd. It also has a micro sd memory. I am looking for a way to store my apps to the sd card like app2sd. All that i have tried keeps installing to the internal sd memory.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Since the phone in its smallest version only has 8 GB of storage, would it be possible to use the external SD-Card for apps without a problem? I know this could be a frustrating task on older phones. What happens, when the internal SD-Card is full but there is plenty of storage left on the external (micro) SD-Card?

Depending on the overall size of your apps, you may need to move them to your external sd card. Most apps support this, but some do not.
I try to avoid putting apps on the external sd and instead save my media there so I don't use up the internal storage.
To move the apps, just go settings, applications, select the app, and click move to SD
