Not worth reporting, threads of this type are unnecessary anyway, not sure why op copied that thread(they left the [/QUOTE] at the end lol), its not a lot of words to write yourself.

I don't think LG will update this phone anymore, maybe just one more but nothing major like to 4.3 or anything. Do we really need this thread?

So far the thread is going pretty well! But I must admit, that is an amateur mistake! - Next time, change the hyper links. then none of this would have happened! :good:

You can't discuss all updates in one place, you need to maintain some order. It's not convenient if one person talks about v10A, other about v10H and the third one talks about v20A, and all that in one thread on the same page. Subthreads are necessary in these situations. You can make a general thread about this phone where you can discuss about different visual themes or such less-relevant things, but official updates/ROMs/kernels need to be subthreaded because it's easier to find specific information you're looking for. After all, that's the true purpose of threads and subthreads, isn't it?

OP, if you realise and looked at the past, there's already a well used and discussed thread for this purpose. Of course its title can be tweaked a little.

if threads are unnecessary, might break some rules, or whatever you think might be wrong, then it is worth reporting
that's exactly the point of this button.
many people think the report button would be "holy", and you would only be allowed to press it in "worst cases". but, in fact, the opposite is the case. most mods are thankful you hitting the report button. FSM's are splitted my manufacturers, "our" FSM team has to deal with all sony(ericsson), LG and Motorola sections, so the chance for seeing something going wrong is ~0.

HAHA!! i see. how abt "official LG rom discussion thread"? lol but the current title is good enough imo, having the contents that really counts.

So.... 2 pages so far and not really anything in the way of discussion regarding O4X updates.....
I tend to side with the view that LG are far more likely to concentrate future efforts on new devices rather than issue significant firmware updates to existing models; by cell phone handset standards, the O4X whilst still very capable and adaptable is already something of a dinosaur where age is concerned.
What keeps us going is the excellent work done by the devs and custom rom artists

If everyone went by this logic, just imagine how many threads there would be.

I'll get flamed for this, but here goes...why don't they just make an official press release. Tweeting something off the side does not have much sense of legitimacy.

EDIT: I've been reading the Tweets by Mack, and I can't help but feel that the tweets are unprofessional, to say the least.
Why the hell would an exec come out like that and promise something so huge? He doesn't keep his mouth shut, like he's supposed to. Is that twitter account legit? Or are we all being trolled?

The Tweet says that we will see an announcement today or tomorrow. And their FB posts explains that they know this because they received an invite. o.0
We obviously have to take any rumour with a grain of salt but personally, I don't see why Go Launcher would want to fabricate this story as they would royally piss off a good amount of their customers if they were found to be lying.
Will update the post with the actual article in a bit. Currently on the train with restricted Wi-Fi access!
UPDATE: GO Launcher lied. Please do not buy/install any of their apps to teach these ass**les not to mess with the public. Hopefully Google Experience Launcher ruins them.

Yes, I apologize. When I posted it, I thought I was the first with the news. Also since the news was so significant (which I now know is not the case), I felt it deserved a thread of its own.

If you think you are the first to post something you need to step back, take a breath and then realize you probably are not and it has already been posted in the appropriate thread. The one with every other rumored date imaginable.
As far as significant, nothing is significant unless Google said so.

Thought KitKat was coming on October 28th along with Google Nexus 5.

Don't be looking for a release date. You won't get one. These devs do this as a hobby not a job. Only devs I think are getting paid are the ones behind CM. BUT I could be mistaken....and even then..they still don't give release dates or ETA'S

looking at the posts in this thread, YOU brought this thread back from the dead.

@simms22 there was post here. I know better for one and two it would take far too much effort to trail back to a thread from 2013 I'm betting the user had a low post count that mods deleted.

He's copy pasting stuff from the net and sometimes just copying the opening post in threads and re posting it. Even in different threads.
He actually posted a how to in a new thread in the n5 section that was for Samsung devices. Lol. Could have possible harmed the n5 too perhaps....I reported his post and it was quickly gone.
I'm going to be following his posts....something strange....I don't think he's just trying to get his 10 posts, as he's well past that. Also, he was down to 20 posts,... Means 7 of them have been deleted already.
My concern is he will post something he shouldn't, as he already did, and brick some poor persons phone who follows his post.

Well luckily this isn't a Samsung, Motorola or HTC. For the most part you can't brick this phone. I'd imagine the only way would be to flash radios or bootloader not for this phone. It's a nexus, after all. The hardest phone there is to brick.

Nexus is surely not the Hardest to brick.. the HTC One X is! You can throw anything at it and it wouldn't mess up at all!
Since it had S-ON, you couldn't flash a thing which wasn't meant for the One X. I have actually tried to brick mine after I got my Nexus 5.. But nope! It just won't brick. The only sad part was we couldn't flash a .img file even if it's zipped. Fastboot was the only option! It was a minor hiccup though :silly:
However, Nexus 5 can be easily bricked my flashing a different bootloader or a corrupt one... Some people have also reported permanently bricking their N5s by flashing custom roms/kernels of different devices (Not 100% sure about this though)..
That being said, people who can't even differentiate between roms/files of different devices are just plain stupid and shouldn't even try to do any modding.. I mean, how can you go to a Samsung Forum and download a rom and then think it was for the Nexus 5 and flash it?

Also I didn't say anything about the release dates. My questions was why do they only post certain builds.
H or M are not posted. I could care less when it was posted.
If you want to be a mod then ask to be one. No one is asking you to stand in on their behalf. This behaviour makes xda unbearable.

Hi,
First, I would expect that a senior member would know which forum they were posting in. Second, IMHO, what makes XDA "unbearable" are redundant questions that could easily be answered by searching. No one was "trying to be a mod" by steering you in the right direction. I'm not trying to start a flame war or am I rushing to defend a huge contributor to this forum. But your post was a bit uncalled for. We all try to get along as best we can and we all answer questions in different manners. Thanks for your time.

i was just letting you know, so you dont post more questions into general. i was also just letting you know that I isnt a new release anymore, its about 2+ weeks old, and that by searching you probably could find an answer. anycase, it does not include a new radio :silly:
