Hi there,
I want to connect some sensors with Google Glass via IPv6.
Although Android doesn't support IPv6, some guys make it work with IPv6.
So I believe there would be someone who hacked Google Glass and make it work with IPv6 as well.
Any comment and idea are welcome

Hello folks,
I have an wildfire and don't have 3G data access.
I only have a hotspot account from some carrier that offers plenty of hotspot in the city. It's convenient enough.
So I have Wifi account and is it possible to share it? So some other phones and my laptops could access the internet through my wildfire wirelessly?
So, in short, I have wifi access to the internet and would like to share it. I guess tethering is not doing this. Do you guys have any idea?
Best,
Matt
Google Pdanet
should make it possible to share wifi through bt or usb.
haven't tried it though
Godspeed
jesper
Thanks for the reply. Should try.
Meanwhile, for the tethering available on google code, will this support sharing Wifi connection?
Or anything else does?
Matt
please make making a tethering app and wifi router a first priority in for the wp7... developers
Moved to general.
wifi tethering
Anyone seen any option in the HD7 to share data wireless as could be done on the HD2?
The Samsung Focus and Omnia 7 can do it by going into diagnostic mode.
Hopefully someone will find a way to do it on the HD7.
I';d love to see this as well. I used it all the time on my HD2
also waiting for this kind app
i heard the 3 big telcos in US have already blocked the android apps, for tethering and router...
i think they will not allow for WP7 as well...
Hey everyone,
I just picked up a Xperia Z1 and noticed that when it was connected to my Wifi it would disconnect and connect at random. My cell provider and sony technicial support didnt offer any useful assitance. They informed me to do a factory restore on my device and it didnt help. Finally I decided to change my wifi encryption on my router from WPA/WPA2 to WEP and tada.. It works. I no longer have any issue with my phone. But I would prefer if Sony would fix this so that I can use the more secure protocol

Glad you solved the problem but I don't think is an issue of every Z1. I use WAP2 with 128bit Password and no problem. But still other problems anyway so I think is all based on luck.
Have this problem now too please help!

Have the EXACT same issue - very frustrated as I have moved from iphone now to this that has an issue with one of the most simple tasks of a mobile these days!
Can someone more technically minded please explain - I know this is an issue this phone has with WEP settings, and yes I could change router settings etc to connect the phone, however - what if I am at an airport, coffee shop, etc? Obviously I cannot go change their settings!
I am going to New Zealand on Thursday and it is imperative I can connect to wifis easily.
Can anyone please let me know asap please
* is this an Xperia/Sony issue? My iPhone never struggled with any settings of routers, ever, nor have any Samsungs I owned.
* Do I face the issue that if a router has WEP settings in public then I may forget connection to it??
* I might have the chance to get a Samsung S4 before I go.....should I just go for it and cut my losses with the camera?
Thank you so much in advance!
Emma
I never know that was the problem, I wil try, thanks!
For a professional network penetrator it takes 5-10 minutes to crack your wifi with wep.
You really shouldn't go with wep. There was a fix for that problem, try to search a bit on this forum. However it involves root. It's your call. Aside from that: I don't have any problems with WPA.
Btw: few years ago those iPhones I supported were unable to log into WPA protected network. IPhones iPad, and iPod all alike. Gave me a huge headache.
Edit:
Airports or places like that should not be a problem. Most of those networks are unprotected. Access to those networks is most likely controlled by a nac device or application
Edit 2:
There it is:

Hey Guys
On my Brand new Note 9 i got a hidden VPN Connection that im pretty much puzzled about.
It should not come from an APP as it identifies as android system.
ALso the VPN Connection goes to a local IP (same city) and i jsut deleted all APPs that could be local.
Any other app should not have any local connection, i mean what are the chances they have a server close by.
Now here is the Data:
VPN IP is 10.217.102.x port:6201
connected to 193.x.x.x port 5062 (which is IANA na-localise)
only explanation i can think of would be wifi calling?
which would make some sense given the target could be within the same network as the mobile provider (buts its a large one so dont have to be)
so maybe this is the service to determine where iam at to provide or deny wifi calling i assume
Samsung vpn is turned of
turning of wifi calling has no effect
turning of wifi has also no effect
so im wondering, if this is just a default service or something more sinister.
anyhow im not very happy my phone doing a hidden vpn all the time in the background bypassing any monitoring
phone is a fresh install, not rooted (yet), no sideloaded apps.
anyone else have a similar connection?
app used to find it: network manager/netstat info
How do you know it's a VPN? Does it sa unknown service or?
