If ur on custom rom, install root explorer and go to system/media! Then delete bootanimation.zip and replace it with some other bootanimation.zip found here!

name it to .. "bootanimation" ...

Futuristic boot animation for Nexus devices
This is my first contribution.
I made a quick mockup of an idea and I stood here to make the video, exported as JPG, made a flashable zip.
As this is my first contribution, please don't bite, ask and we will see what can we do.
I am not responsible for data lost, bricked deviced, microwaved cats, or other thermo-nuclear-bio wars.

if this won't work than I have to calculate FPS and add duration to animation in qmg.

if there is more devices with these resolution, please let me know
NOTE
Galaxy S4 could use two types of boot animation depending on what ROM you use.
If you use a Samy based rom (stock, etc), please download the samy version.
If you use a AOKP, CM, etc based rom (CM, PA, AOKP), please download the simple version.
Main difference is that Samy rom uses qmg file type while the other uses bootanimation.zip.

Your bootanimation IS amazing, but am I the only one getting a plain black screen for my boot animation ... ROM Toolbox is also unable to preview the bootanimation.zip (the Nexus 4's) ... using LG Nexus 4, rooted n unlocked running CarbonROM
* Tried both methods : Directly copying bootanimation.zip into system/media & also flashing mako_anim.zip via CMW

is it only me, or mako veriosn is broken? copied bootanimation.zip to /system/media and nothing happened after google logo a saw black screen and then my lock screen. same with flashable zip. maguro version works like a charm. tested on nexus 4 @ paranoid android 3.69. but as i said on google+: amazing work

Navigate to system/media and delete bootanimation. Zip. I'll check out the package see why isn't working
just flashed on my phone, maguro, it's working... than I think yours should work too.

also seems like I need to recreate the animation in qmg format
of course you can try backup those two files, and copy bootanimation.zip there, the zip from the installer found in /system/media/

I renamed the 2 files Samsung in .old and I put the bootanimation.zip in system / media but there is still the black screen, I only hear the sound.

So looking over the xda, qmg is a closed-source alogrithm package, so I have to download Samsung Theme editor and recreate the whole whole animation.
Seems like the rom you have uses stock animation like.

More Description :-
1.It is "bootanimation" binary will be placed in /system/bin
2.Plays MPEG-4 @30fps video more smoothly than H.264(depends on decoder of your phone).If you a have good hardware then you should go with H.264
3.Put MPEG-4 (.mp4) video of compatible resolution in
/system/media/bootx.mp4 (start up video)
/system/media/bootxoff.mp4 (shut down video)
4.Flashable zip contain demo boot/shut videos can be changed easily.
Benefits of using this-
1. Consumes less space than normal huge bootanimation.zip
for ex. if your bootanimation.zip takes 25mb
this mod will take 3-5mb
2. Runs morex2 smoothly than normal bootanimation.
3.Gives silky start up like we always wanted!!
Procedure -
Backup your "/system/bin/bootaanimation" First.
1.Download " BootX_Mod_By_abhimortal6.zip " <- Contains Binary This Must Be Flashed First
2.Go to CWM Recovery then Mount System
3.Install zip - " BootX_Mod_By_abhimortal6.zip "
4.Reboot.
5.Hit Thanks
You can replace Videos manually or by Flashing " FL " Zips Given Below

I'm running 4.2.2 on my Xperia C and it's working like a charm for Bootanimation but Shutdown animation seems not working . Anyway's it was a great effort,Thanks alot.

I'm using a custom Xperia Z3 ROM, while shutting down it shows the shutdown animation integrated in the ROM not the one included in the flashable zip.

check if /system/bin have only one " bootanimation"
b/c your factory " bootanimation" binary may start with capital " B " . if you have then rename it to anything!!.
then delete old .zip shutanimation
from /system/media
also check for "shutanimation" or similar file

Is it me or the Marvel animation isnt between the .zip to be downloaded list? Is there a way to see/hear a preview with sound included? Is there a way to change sound to another one we want?

Where's devilex94's credit for posting the original bootanimation binary that you're using here? All you really did was relabel some things and added some boot animations.

my binary uses single video doesnt uses .zip
and it uses better method for decoding MPEG-4

[END OF SUPPORT] [BOOTANIMATION] Z BIOS boot animation - v3.0 [KK]/v5.1 [LP] Final

So, I created a nice boot animation in Windows BIOS style, using LorDestinY's tutorial.
Images are contained in multiple folders, so no black screen, and have the size of 1080x1920 for the Z model. The HD version (720x1080) is useful for those who have reduced screen resolution at boot.
The text used for the information is as real as it goes, and is based on the C6603 model.

I tried it on Validus ROM and it works perfectly. I am sure it also works on CM12.
And for the OP, thank you for the HD variant. I love this animation.

Thanks for the boot animation.It works but i cant see the droid at the end of the boot sequence.I barely see the the second screen till it ends then my phone has finished booting.
I em on existenz rom 3.5 with zombie kernel 2(if it matters).Anything i can do to get the whole sequence?Thanks again.
*i will edit the fps/sec might work..
** didnt work.i try to make 3 folders instead and raised the fps to 15 still nothing(got worse) .

The default bootanimaton here it is.

New version uploaded, it features an update template, real information, flashable zips and fully working final parts. FPS is set to 6, I don't own a XPERIA Z device, so please experiment with that value, and let me know, if you find a better one. Enjoy!

i have substratum installed on my RR rom, i cant see any bootanimation after flashing this..it directly loads lockscreen, after showing UNLOCKED bootloader splash screen..

Hey there nandakis4 I'm not sure what maybe issue on your device. Cause I have tested my zip before publishing here and it seemed to be working perfectly fine over here and a few other P2 users on telegram confirms the same.
I would suggest you to re-download the Android o boot animation zip and again flash it.
I would like to hear if it's still not working.
Send me screenshot of /system/media. I would like to see if there is bootanimation.zip or not.

Hi, i dont why the bootanimation.zip file inside got curropted during my previous download..
i checked everything, re downloded.. extracted and replaced my original bootanimation.zip and tested.. and the result was positive..
now i removed that bootanimation.zip (oreo) and made my original ba.zip as primary.. and flashed your ZIP again..
this time.. i saw Oreo bootanimation working fine

No matter which rom I use or change, This is the boot animation I use for any rom I install. Great job dude. This is really awesome.
