There are two different models:
Xperia T LTE [LT30a]
Xperia TL [LT30at] (american AT&T network)
What's yours?
AV no Likey
It works.
Kaspersky Says No Friggin way for this.
It's an exploit so I guess it's the reason why.
I tested and work in Xperia V lt 25i on 9.2.A.2.5 and 9.2.A.1.210 before this guide =D

Is your root working normally?
Are you sure you granted root permission to Flash Gordon properly?
Open up SuperSU and check if Flash Gordon appears inside the apps list with the green hash symbol (#).
And last but not least, try to download Flash Gordon ZIP again!

Hello there, iam finally on 4.4.4 and i want to root the phone now, and so far iam quite aware of the process, atleast i think that iam, but check it for
yourself:
1) Getting lastest Flashtool from here: http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php ( 0.9.18.2)
Btw. i dont get this : "Since Xperia Z, sony added a new set of files I called bootbundle. Those files can be bundled from 0.9.13 and can be flashed from 0.9.13 only."
What do i really need to flash kernel .233 andn reflashing the .283 afterwards? 0.9.13 or the latest one? dont really get that one, and wouldn't like to hardbrick my C6603 neather...
Do i need the seperate "Flashtool-Driver"-Package or is that included in normal Flashtool-Package?
2) Getting rather the the "Kernel only" or a Stock-FTF .233 and uncheck everything except the Kernel.
3) Getting "Easy-Root" and enabling USB-Debugging on the Z, running Easy-Root and connecting the Z to the PC when Easy-Root says so...
Waiting... Reboot and Checking root-access via root-checker.
4) Getting stock-ftf or Kernel-only for .283, reflashing it.
5)Installing SuperSu, and be happy(?)
Further Questions:
6) Do i need an internet-connection when running Easy-Root on the HOST (aka PC)?
7) Could i theoretically remove root-access again after i modified Android to my like? (Removing Bloatware and installing Adwall/Adaware/Xprivacy) or woudn't this work out? E.g. No root, no more root-apps?
Thank you for your time and help!

Hey thank you for the reply but i've read this thread before, but it doesnt really answer the few questions that stayed unanswered to me
Like:
1) Which version of Flashtool do i need? Does it have to be 0.9.13 or can i download and use the latest variant available (see the Quote regarding 0.9.13)
2) Do i need an internet-connection on my PC to run the "Easyroot-Exploit"?
3) After removing the bloatware and installing some stuff that needs root (Adwall,Adaway,Xprivacy) can i remove root again(SuperSu Unroot) without losing the functionality of this previously installed root-apps?
Thats basically all that is still open to me, other than that everything is pretty clear
Thank you!

1. Use the latest version, which is currently 0.9.18.2. I linked to the Flashtool thread in my guide for a reason.
2. I don't believe so. Just use the built in root tool in Flashtool instead if you like.
3. No. You cannot unroot if you want to continue using apps that need root.

[Stock][Lollipop 5.0.2][Root & Recovery][LB/UB] D6502/03 23.1.A.1.28 | Complete Guide
Dear friends,
AsI have already given the complete guide and necessary files to install the pre rooted Lollipop 5.0.2 with the build number 23.1.A.0.726 for both the D6502/6503 variants, now I'm here with the pre rooted latest release of 5.0.2 Lollipop with build number, 23.1.A.1.28
For those who who don't know about the previous post with the pre rooted lollipop of 23.1.A.0.726 for D6502/6503 variants installation guide, can go through this link.
This method is for both Locked and Unlocked Bootloaders . It includes root and XZDual recovery 2.8.15
Requirements
Download the proper flashable zip from below links.
1. Flashable zip of 23.1.A.1.28 for D6502 variant
2. Flashable zip of 23.1.A.1.28 for D6503 variant
Steps to install pre rooted 23.1.A.1.28 firmware.
1. Download the proper D6502/6503 flashable zip from the link given above.
2. Copy the flashable zip into external sd card.
3. Boot your phone into recovery (TWRP is recommended)
4. Flash the zip.
5. Clear Cache/Dalvik and reboot!
6. The first boot may take some time. (No need to flash ftf for kernel. This time I have included the kernel with the zip itself)
That's all!! check your root with this application from playstore. Its a free application only. (Credits to the developers)
Steps for those Non rooted users
It doesn't matter, whether you are in .726 or .28 firmware. All you need is just follow all the steps given below.
1. First goto this thread.
2. Download the first five files from that thread.
3. Follow upto the 19th step.
3.1 Among that 19 steps, the 5th step needs a modification.
5. Copy the flashable.zip to your external sd card and remember the location, where its been copied. And, Switch off your phone
Here you have to copy the above given 23.1.A.1.28 flashable zip.4. After the 19th step, just flash the flashable_65XX_23.1.A.1.28.zip file. (XX refers your variant i.e. 6502/6503)
5. Clear Cache/Dalvik.
6. Reboot the phone.
Congrats!! you have installed the pre rooted Lollipop 5.0.2 with the build number 23.1.A.1.28 for your Xperia Z2, D6502/6503.
The complete guide for root your Xperia Z2 with the newest firmware lollipop 5.1.1 (23.4.A.0.546) is available in this thread.

Yep, if you are already rooted you just need to install custom recovery and then flashed this one that is already pre rooted and that has recovery already. To install recovery in an easy way you just need to download XZ Recovery apk you just need to tap intall recovery and if everything goes right it will reboot into recovery, remember that after you flash the rom you need to wipe dalvik and cache.
Thanks

Any word on what the difference is between Taiwan firmware and any european country customization?
I doubt it's the usual case of essentially no difference, given the SGP311 has only a handful of generic firmwares compared to xperia devices with mobile radios. It's also the only non-europe firmware available (from what I've read Customized PH is grouped with europe in spite of the geography)

Unfortunately, by installing lollipop you loose recovery...so there's no easy way back
In a nutshell, you must go back to a kit-kat ROM, root it (e.g. install .283, then install .230 KERNEL ONLY and force towel root from flash tool. Then install 283 KERNEL back) and then install NUTs dual recovery.
More detailed instructions can be found here.

Thank you very much for your reply. I feel pretty stupid - I was very happy with CM and only wanted to try out the stock rom, never would've done so if I had realized it was not easy to go back.
Any ideas then about a possible resolution for the random reboots? Never happened on this tablet before, stock or CM. When I flashed this stock lollipop rom I did not do a full wipe, I did wipe the caches.
---------- Post added at 10:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:00 AM ----------
Well I've gone from bad to worse I used those instructions - I had used this process before to gain root - and got the the part in the procedure where flashtool reboots the device to flash 10.5.1.A.0.283.
Now the tablet cycles through the Sony Xperia screen over and over - it will not boot to system and will not go into flashmode. I can get into fastboot mode but I'm not sure what I can do to resolve this from there.
Again, any help is appreciated.

OK - looks like I got it - I simply flashed the twrp recovery image in fastboot mode and that did the trick - restoring my lovely cm 12 now.
All set - thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
How did you install it? Downloaded the zip file but not sure which tool I should use.
EDIT: Never mind. Flashtool has really come a long way. I used it to get the firmware and then install it. Can't ask for more than that.
has anyone tried using philz touch 6?
Hi, just wondering where did you get the twrp recovery image that you can flash in fastboot? Thanks in advance, I'm currently in bootloop as well

You can download a prerooted zip in the rooting threat I have linked. There is a link to the file in the first posting.
But I have make a prerooted for my device with us version today included the new dualrecovery with PRF. I will try it this evening. I waited for new recovery only for the thing, that remount boot refix will work and I can use link2sd.
And further, All I want to know if I root via kingroot, would I be able to shift to Super Su and install NUTs recovery directly on LP rom?

I rooted my device yesterday with kingroot successfully, but I reverted it and think I will root it this evening with the old known method. I read, that there could be a method to uninstall kingroot after succesfull rooting, and you can install super su over playstore and nuts dualrecovery over pc. Maybe you can try it and say if it works
I have a Problem with kingroot, cause it installs a chinese app, that I dont understand, cause I cannot read chinese. So I reversed root and deinstalled everything from kingroot.
But I think here in xda dev the trust kingroot. I have problems, cause I dont understand chinese I prefer the classical method to root.
Sorry for so many questions.

I need Indian PRF zip, and probably i would like to create it myself as I have a very slow internet!!
The method for Kingroot to SuperSu is available but I can't make it work, kingroot keep conflicting with the process and Language is the only problem with me too, if it comes in English I would use it.
Just confirming the classical method
Go back to kitkat.
Root it.
Install Recovery.
Install the Pre-rooted lollipop rom via recovery.
Am I right?

Yes, just tried 2.8.17 last night and installation is fine. Both recovery and Lollipop boot correctly. But I didn't test flashing zip files in recovery or backup yet.

Apparently there is an exploit where you can sign boot.img and it will work on a locked bootloader but BL has to be dated less than 13th June 2014. I will try that when I get an Ubuntu installation and try it out. I currently have Android 4.4.2 on Android 4.3 BL. If worse comes to worse, I will try to adapt Xperia SP 2nd-init and to use the e2fsck hijack on the Xperia E1 to load the CyanogenMod ramdisk on top of it.

EDIT: This thread is a duplicate of what @Kizoky posted previously because the ROM is exactly the same...

If you read the description you can see that in the Indonesian version the GPS isn't working, but it works in this. (Haven't tested it so maybe im incorrect). But yes, it matches by name and size. We have to test both ROM before we judge

Perhaps we need to upgrade from 4.3 so that the libs(drivers) remain and WiFi/GPS/LED work. I'll try it and see if they truly work.
Results
I followed the instructions, and got the following results:
- Android is upgrading... Optimizing apps on startup (82 apps)
- WiFi works
- Mobile network (SIM-card) doesn't work at all
- Camera app crashes (com.android.media crashes)
- Settings app crashes on a lot of options (storage_lists.xml was probably copied over from E1 rom, which isn't needed)
- Sound, vibration works
- GPS (location) works
- LEDs work

Well it's something, at least the greater half of the system is working. Is there any chance to make the Mobile network working somehow, or we need the Indonesians to share there sources?

There is no CM11 that has Mobile networking at the moment. Also, this rom is half broken, camera not working, Settings crashes, no SD Card, Xposed not installable etc...
