I installed CWM recovery successfully, my phone's bootloader is also unlocked, but now my cwm is gone, i cannot boot into recovery mode! Any suggestions? do i need to install CWM again? will the root disappear if i do so?
Did you change your kernel?
If you reinstall cwm your root shouldn´t be gone (idk how you installed your recovery, so can´t say for shure ^^), but even if it does, it´s about 5 minuits to re-root your device via recovery

I had unlocked the bootloader and rooted my Nexus One using SuperBoot on 2.3.3.
Now 2.3.4 came and I lost root (and no updated superboot is out). So I decided to to a complete root.
These were the steps I followed:
1- Booted the phone to fastboot, connected to PC and flashed a custom recovery via "fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-passion-v2.2.1.img".
2-Went into recovery (the one I just flashed), did a backup, and then installed su.zip via the option "Flash zip from sdcard".
3-Rebooted into normal mode, checked to see if I had gained root, and I had ineed.
Now I rebooted again into fastboot to play with the custom recovery, and when I tried to enter it, I got the triangle with an exclamation mark picture. I understand this is the stock recovery.
I was obviously successful when I first flashed it, since I was able to enter the recovery, but after the reboot it was lost.
So my question is, what went wrong? Why did I lose the recovery?
Thanks for the help.

Hey everybody out there,
I had to following problem.
I used the AIO Tool to unlock bootloader and flashing CWMTouch Recovery.
Then I installed ARHD 10.0 over ADB Sideload and everything went fine.
Now I wanted to upgrade to ARHD 10.2 but everytime when im in Bootloader and want to acces recovery my phone reboots.
I can see for like a half second the startup screen from either CWM or TWRP but they all reboot the phone after a half sec.
I tried like all recovery out there its the same with everyone.
Since ARHD wasnt wiped yet the solution for me was to reboot in ARHD and install RomManager via Market and flash Recovery over RomManger and also reboot into Recovery over RomManager.
Now I can acces again my Recovery
For everyone who might have the same Problem

Hi!
I succesfully managed to update my xperia to latest firmware, root it and unlock bootloader. I used root checker to check and in service menu it says unlocked bootloader: yes
I wanted to try a miui rom so first I decided to install CWM. I found a guide to flash CWM for unlocked bootloader and flashed the boot.img to the phone.
I succesfully managed to reboot and see an orange light. Then it restarts...
When pressing volume+ or volume- when orange light I enter CWM recovery, but then I cannot do anything.
I read to format /cache but here it hangs
What should I do now?
Ok, managed to install MIUI by transfering the miui zip file to sd card and just installing it in CWM recovery. After boot all went well

How do I get into recovery without being able to boot into system and the hardware recovery method doesn't work?
New to this device. Had no problem rooting, installing CWM 6028 and getting into CWM either via hardware or booting recovery from the rooted stock.
I installed [ROM][LB][UB] eXistenZ v7.0.0 and it came up great with no problems. Installed Root Explorer and TiBu w/o problem. Booted into CWM recovery from system without problem. Restored some files system data with TiBu. Rebooted and went into a boot loop where the boot animation comes up and then the phone reboots. I managed to turn the phone off by holding power and vol+. But, on reboot I can no longer into CWM recovery. I want to reflash the rom, or restore a backup either to stock or the working new rom.
I can get fastboot to recognize the phone but don't know a command to boot into recovery. I'm certain that the CWM Recovery is still valid. I just need to get into CWM one time!
HELP!
I unlocked boot loader and tried to install twrp from system,it says its installed but i cant enter it
How to flash twrp the best way
And can i remove twrp if i need to restore factory state and how to delete it?
Thank you
You could always try XperiaZdual-recovery, as long you don't flash another kernel. Its actually a tool that can help you flash the recovery (if not rooted yet, you must be on 5.0.2) using only a one-click solution. It does not give you root access and you should allow usb debugging in order to be able to flash. It installs TWRP and Philz recovery, during boot you can select either one of them using volume down for the first and volume up for the latter. Have fun.
