in normal case you cant shoot 60fps in FHD but if the bootloader is unlocked this app gives you 60fps in FHD ,120fps in HD , and 4K recording:

OT,
No it will not help at all
All this means is that Sony are making it easy to see changes to the code in the kernel.

4k recording does not work on iHackers or any other Z1 rom. It is reported in the thread itself that it does not.

I did not ask what the stock Z1 can do, I asked what it can do, pushed to the limit, tweeked, overclokked, whatever.
Maybe currently not
But i believe the hardware have the ability
just not enabled in kernel.

You didnt state that and the answer is still the same. 1080p
Yeah the hardware could support 4k but the isnt any mods to do it as of yet.
As Greg has already said, the Z1 doesn't have 4K nor will it ever get it I don't think. As for 2K, it's probably more plausible to get that than 4K, but again I can't see it happening.
In all fairness you aren't missing out on that much, at the end of the day it's simply a phone and for the most part you're showing other people what videos you have on your phone / tablet / computer.
If you really want 4K video then a phone that supports it out of the box is where you want to be.
Not great news but hey ho.
Is it possible to make ? I think it' s not impossible but you, developers knows best, im asking you. Is there any chance to make 60fps video.
And for second, KCAL module not working for Xperia SP so we cannot set gamma, is there anyway to change this ? Is it impossible?

Its possible because I have seen HTC one mini(Adreno 305) to do so. Xperia SP has a lot better GPU. But not sure will camera on SP could do that
I think Xperia SP could do that, the camera not that horrible i think and cpu fast enough for that.
Wish so much the kernel developers or someone will make this work :crying::crying:

Dear, we r not talking about timeshift burst, but timeshift video.
there is a way to make camera record at 60 fps, which is bare minimum for slow-mo, you can find the rom in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/rom-official-sony-lollipop-5-1-1-t3196237
But idk if you can make it to record more then that

Thanks mate this rom looks awesome but it would be far more better if i could record at 120fps. If this fone can record 1080p at 60fps, then it can b able to record 720p or 480p at 120fps.

Oh yes sir, I am constantly searching for this, but if u get somthing interesting, please do post it here.
Slomotion on Xperia Z is really "edgy" topic.
Because hardware it self(camera chip and CPU) IS capable to record 120fps at 480p
Some local xda developers say that its impossible, but Oppo Find 5 have THE SAME camera and CPU and... it record 120fps.
Problem lay on camera software, and to be more precise on "drivers" that our Xperia Z have, and that are messed up by Sony.
With some good skills and knowledge it would be possible to copy code from Oppo Find 5 and enable this mode on Xperia Z, but as I said its hard topic, because no one here want mess with that.
Also as you would probably know, Xperia Z is really old device, and for past year or two most of developers on this forum where focused more on creating LP ROMs and modifying existing one rather than making something new.
Its probably offend some devs, but creating your own ROM based on stock is really easy, and 90% of what we have on xda are just stock roms filled with custom additions gathered from forum. There is nothing new here, only few people still trying to mess with device it self to make it "better/cooler".
So yeah, you can forget about 120fps on Xperia Z, its just better to buy new phone (even Z1compact have the same price as XZ in most of places, and even if its smaller device its WAY better than XZ)
Hello.
So I have a question about Huawei P9 Lite camera... I want 60fps, I know, lets say for resolution, thats a hardware problem, it has pixels for resolution just up to 1080, but that doesn't bother me, I want to know if there is any way to get 60fps on 1080 or perhaps 120 on 720 or the other way around. I know I have slowmotion future in menu, but it records at 480p I think or even worse.
Is it option to readjust camera drivers for 60fps and how, I am prepared to help with development of driver, I am computer engineer and I got some knowledge, but never focused on cameras much, but now I started to do short movies and video production and editing and I see problem of missing 60fps on phone, but cameras for that are expensive.
If anyone is prepared to help or knows anything about it, feel free to reply ??
Try the APP OpenCamera and use or don't use API2 and set the fps to 60.
What is API2?
I enabled all, but it doesnt work as it should

Clean camera cache.
Then go to video-swipe from right to left-video quality-FHD 1080.
After that, toggle stabiliser as well.

You are trolling us, right ? Open Camera says, that this device does not support 60 FPS @ 1080p...
Mine also records @ 30 FPS on 1080p...
Hardware supports 60fps, software does not. Unless some one got around that

I realised just now... It is really 120FPS @ 640x480, so I bet there can be at least 60FPS @ 1280x720... Can someone do that? Regards

You're expecting a bit too much out of your device. Just loose your pocket and buy a new device if you wanna record 4k 120 fps
If you don't have anything smart to say then don't.
Hardware is capable. Many users said that and so do I.
Otherwise feel free to buy me new device...
