I installed latest viper ROM. The lock screen initially was 3 way unlock. With some changes it became round unlock with no application tray. Now I cannot go back. Can someone please help? I am very new to ROM.
You probably set the lockscreen to AOSP. Go to Viper Settings and you should be able to get it back to stock.
The ViperROM is very customizable, so you have to be cautious. But it's one of the greatest ROMs I know of. (used to run it on my EVO LTE)

Hi,
I was just messing around with the phone and ended up demoving the htcLockscreen.apk from my phone and rebooted it. I ended up getting the default AOSP lockscreen but it was all messed up.
Any idea how I can get the AOSP lock screen on my sense ROM?
Flash the Desire Lockscreen .. i am using it ..if you are using Custom ROM [SOLVED] Desire Lockscreen it works for VillainROM 10.2 or above & Many Other ROMS .. Give it a try & see if it works than you 'll get Desire Lockscreen
Hello all !
Just a question about the lockscreen. Since android 4.2.2, you can add widget on lock screen but with Sense it's impossible. Is there a way to bypass the lockscreen of sense?
Thanks!
You can probably find an AOSP Lockscreen and flash it. Several custom ROMs give you that option in the AROMA installer, including TrickDroid, RGUI and Viper ROM. Some of them require you to download an extra flashable zip file called "Tweaks", such as the case in TrickDroid.
This does not allow the use of widgets though. It's just the AOSP lockscreen striped dry, with only the time and date, and unlock button.

Ah I am sorry I thought it did. There are several third party lockscreens on PlayStore and I believe the most popular is Lock Screen Widget by droid-maniacom.

No it doesn't work when I try to install this kind of lockscreen. I've try to use this one but it's not working

I loaded up the ROM I found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356512&page=1
I didn't get an Aroma installer (I expected as much because the first post says "No Aroma") but now that the ROM is running, I'm not seeing any option to switch to the standard lockscreen or app launcher.
Is there a menu item I'm supposed to be seeing, or is it buried in settings someplace? The ROM itself is running fine, I was just looking to sprinkle a little AOSP goodness into the Sense mix
If you will flash this rom, you can't restore the stock lockscreen or app launcher

Looks like I didn't specify - when I said standard, I meant the AOSP lockscreen, NOT the sense lockscreen.
When I installed the ROM, I didn't see any place to switch to the AOSP lockscreen (what's showing is the normal Sense lockscreen).

My impression was that a google edition ROM with a number of features available from the standard Sense ROM. As a GE ROM I would have expected it to have the standard google edition lockscreen available in some way or shape.
Am I right?
The other ROM (GE on Sense) has exactly what I want for the most part, but it's being discontinued (no more updates) - so I hesitate to run it for the future. Additionally, some of the comments on both threads made it look like it was possible to switch between GE/Sense versions for certain components.
Again, I'm thinking it might be something simple I missed. What's the word?
GE roms have the AOSP lockscreen.
The "mix" rom like GE+Sense, have some and some thing of the two roms.
So, you have to do a choise or wait for the MoDaCo Switch
Hey guys,
I'm currently running trickdroid 11.0 on my One. I've upgraded from 8.0 just yesterday and never had any issues with installation or tweaks. Now when I install the tweaks for 11.0, I boot my phone and as soon as I unlock the lock screen, I get a UI Crash. I've dabbled with changing different selections on the tweaks installation but I can't seem to find a combination that works.
I got my tweaks package from the links on the trickdroid site (which leads to the thread on xda-developers), installed it using recovery. Is there something that I'm missing? As of now, the only 2 things I can get to work out is the battery icon change and the home screen/app drawer grid change to stick.
I would try to reinstall everything with a fresh full-wipe
Recently i updated my htc one to the new version of Android Revolution HD 30.0 ONLINE based on sense 5.5.
1) Where did the lock screen customization gone?
ok so they added another screen with widget but now you can't even change the wallpaper!!!
2) When i lock the device and the push on the power again the time appear after a split second that's pretty weird
3)why all the modes on the sense 5 Toolbox doesn't work for me? For example turning ON the "Transparent status bar" and nothing happens, even after i'm restarting
this refers to all who uses this rom

1. Ask HTC I would really like to know as well - I like the new feauteres, but they really messed up with the lockscreen IMHO. However, it is not a final base from them, so hopefully this changes.
2. Base bug, performance setting - never experienced tho.
3. Sense Toolbox 2.2 is for Sense 5.0, not Sense 5.5 - therefore not all features work. An update is on it's way.

If you have Xposed framework + sense toolbox 2.2 installe correctly it should work.
I just tested the transparent bar function and it is working.
Oh, and you have to reboot the shell (soft reboot) to see the changes in the sense framework - maybe you forgot that step.
I have also noticed on ARHD 30 system ui has stopped notification every now and again tried dirty flashing again but problem still persists. I can't do a full wipe as my pc is dead atm

Try updating to 31, and the toolbox to 2.3. Not having any issues like that.
