Thanks for pointing me to the right thread, although it didn't help my situation. By the process of elimination I say its the battery, but still can't see how flashing the ext-sdcard would brake it.
Without the battery I get red led flashes, which to my knowledge is a low battery charge (which is how it should behave)
Thanks again buddy kudos
:good:
Have you tried the classic "fastboot/flashmode" connections?

yes no luck there
No green/blue led turns on, when you connect the phone in fastboot/flashmode to the pc?
Have you tried to charge the phone for at least 3-4 hours and then try again to turn it on, or connect to the pc with the previously listed modes?

Try checking the battery pins on phone sometimes they get bent or dirty just a thought if not then it sounds like the main board has a fault as you have tried everything that could help
Maybe format all things in mounts and storage in cwm might help

Is that with a old battery or a new battery?
Also, did you try factory reset? (if you're on stock, that will wipe your device, pics too so I would make a backup on your pc first).
I dont know, maybe old, I buy it in a small store, cheap price

Try factory reset. If that doesn't work, you'll have to look for a better battery.
I'm not sure why else it wouldn't stay on.
having a strange problem. was having a normal day with my phone, then at some point in the day I tried turning it on and nothing. No matter what I have done the screen just doesn't come on. Here are a ist of things I tried doing.
- Take batterry out for over a minute then try and turn it on. FAILED
- take battery out the plug phone into computer and turn it on. FAILED
- Tried to enter both recovery mode and download mode. FAILED
The phone simply does not respond to any button inputs. Have had the phone for almost a year and ZERO issues. Use the phone lightly and its in top condition.
Any help will be appreciated.
Try a different battery. You have rooted the phone? Give us more info about the phone like custom ROM and what do u suspect to be the probem.
Lorddeff have you heard of sds?

Yh, rooted and all that. Ben rooted from the first day I got it. Using philz safe kernel with the ultimate TW ROM. Never did any funky stuff on the phone. I'm pretty sure that its not from a battery cause I have two of those and I am sure its not from a bad flash or something. My last flash was over a month ago and the phone was working perfectly until it literally just stopped working like 5 mins after the last time I used it.

I have now... and thanks for that link. Looks promising. Though it means I would have to ship my phone out, which I guess is a lot better than doing nothing.
I was going a back up on my phone in twrp and noticed that the time was off. I read that if you reflash twrp(2.6.3.3) that it would fix the issue. I used freegee to do it the first time and it worked fine since I couldn't get any other program to flash twrp successfully. I received a snapchat while freegee was flashing so i checked it out(big mistake in hindsight). I then attempted to go back to freegee but it wasn't listed in recent apps. So I loaded up freegee again and it acted like it was the first time. I attempted to flash twrp again and it finished successfully but when I tried to restart my phone it does nothing. Was the other Freegee running and didn't finish correctly causing this?
If I hold the power button down it will just vibrate in ~15 second intervals
No LG logo, no back light.
No download mode.
No Recovery.
Tried disconnecting battery cable and plugging phone in to reach download mode.
I've tried a few things on other sites like trying to flash via linux but my phone won't show up. It wont' show up when plugged in to my laptop either
Is it a lost cause?Do I just take it back to the store and say the phone died and won't reboot?
Any help would be appreciated.

Just to be clear, when plugging the usb cable in you were holding volume up right?
If so, you could try this.

I think a lot of people are having problems with freegee lately. Flashify is working great, however.

Yeah, I've tried all possible combinations. Vol up with power, volume down with power, hold power for 15 seconds, hold power for 1 minute, hold power for 2 mins. I even took the case off, removed the battery connection and tried the Vol up plus plugging in usb cable.
I tried the linux thing in that thread before posting but it won't recognize my phone to even try it.

It's actually mostly the same process as before, since my phone isn't recognized in linux I can't transfer any files to it. I have been all over the internet and found a lot of threads but all of the require the phone to be recognized by the OS or boot into some mode.
Thanks for looking.

Yeah, I think thats what the first part of that post is referencing. If you read posts before that one, he couldn't get his device recognized either.
Hopefully someone else will chime in, this is actually a bit over my head at the moment.

I had to Apt-get to get it. Once I got it and listed the devices I only got like 4 listed or something close to this: /dev/sda /dev/sda1 /dev/sda2 /dev/sda5
So I attempted the rest with /dev/sda5 but it was giving me errors. I'll attempt it again here after Ubuntu downloads and post the results.
So when I run
~$: ls /dev/sd*

I get
/dev/sda /dev/sda2 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1

You're definately not getting anything back with more than 1 or 2 partitions. Could be a brick . Maybe if you're lucky you just overlooked some seemingly minute detail. Possibly try a different usb port or different computer.....sorry bud.
There are quite a few "bricked" threads in q&a, and some in dev. Maybe combing through all of that will shed a little light on the subject.
Good luck

No backups stored on computer? Didn't backup to google cloud? No cloud backups?
I tried recovering the data for about 6 hours. No dice.
Also, to my knowledge, there is no SD card in the phone, maybe solder points for one but I don't know.

Hi guys, I've been using this rom for a weeks now without any problems until this. I left my phone to charge overnight and turned the charger off when I woke up. I didn't touch my phone until after I got home from school and it's suddenly like this. The power button does nothing, I don't think the 3 buttons do anything. I'm stuck. I created an account just for this. I hope someone will be able to help! I also enabled Battery Doctor's cpu management when the screen is off if it changes anything. Thank You!

I am afraid it is .. always do a backup... if you get no response from Odin flashing, nor recovery it's hard brick , as far i know.
There's still 1 more way, the JIG... you can get it from ebay for couple dollars , it's like micro usb which is used for all samsung S models i also read that it was tested for S3 mini and works .. soo try that.
no response from buttons.
Old trick.. Pull your battery hold all three buttons whilst replacing battery. With a bit of luck you should get into either recovery or download mode. Then load a stock rom via odin. Hope this helps.
Another thought has your battery somehow totally drained?
