unable to load music with Tizen update - Samsung Galaxy Gear

Hi guys
Just purchased Galaxy Gear and done the Tizen upgrade.
When connected to my iMac using Kies, for some reason whenever I try to put music on the device, it simply tells me that theres not enough storage on the device??
I have nothing but the stock Apps, so I'm a little stuck!
Any ideas?
I'm using it with my iPhone 5S....yes I know it's not a samsung, but the purpose for me is the bluetooth functionality for calls/FaceTime audio etc (which works perfectly without any jailbreaking), using the fitness apps on it and for the music storage being connected to my bluetooth headphones
Any ideas would be awesome

I never used Kies when my Gear was on Android but on Tizen it now says "Currently, Gear only support the firmware update feature of Kies) ." Whether that's temporary or permanent remains to be seen.
But, where the Gear didn't show up via USB as storage on Android it does now on Tizen. What that means to Mac users I have no clue.

I updated through Kies, so that's fine
The bizarre part is it won't let me add files using Kies as it simply states "currently not enough memory on device"
Any body else having this issue??
I guess I can stick my music on a USB and find a windows machine... but I can't understand why it won't show up as a device on my iMac

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S on the O2 network in the UK.
Before registering here I have tried my best to sort this myself but I really do need some expert advice now. Please!!
I have tried and tried to update the KIES software but no matter what my PC will not connect to the phone it just says 'connecting' and hangs on that
I've tried on an XP machine and a Windows 7 machine and neither work
I'm currently on software 2.1 and would like to update to 2.2
Are there known problems with connecting the phone to a PC?
I've even tried connecting it so the PC would just view it as an external hard drive but again it doesn't connect and the PC does not recognise the phone.
I can't transfer any music or videos to the phone at the moment obviously and that's what I'm hoping to achieve with some kind help off here. I'd also like flash player which I believe is part of the 2.2 update?

Hi.
Firstly... this is a very well known issue with the kies software.
There are countless threads here about this issue with possible fixes for the problem.
I recommend that u search the forum for your solution and do some reading and you will find your answers.

I take it you have an external micro sd card in the phone? Mine wont connect without.
If you do, you should check whether the drivers are ok by connecting via USB. Goto settings, "Wireless and Network", select usb settings and click "ask on connection". Reconnect the usb and the phone should ask you what connection you want, click mass storage.
If that fails, probably a driver issue. Uninstall Kies and samsung drivers and reinstall the latest version of Kies (google Kies)

I personally find it's a dream to use if you're using the modded roms..
That does kinda void your warranty though
Just a few tips which entered my mind:
- older versions of Kies do not connect if you changed the launcher on your phone from touchwiz to something else (i.e. Launcherpro or Zeam)
- it's strange it doesn't even connect in storage mode. How are your usb settings (Settings, Wireless & Networks, USB Settings), is it set to Kies or "Ask". When set to Ask or Storage Mode, you still should pull down the notification bar when connecting to make a choice.
- does the pc bleep to indicate it at least senses a device attached? Have you tried different USB ports?

Updated my gear 1 to tizen and also my note 8 Ltd to 4.2.2 using the official Germany dom. ...
Watch pairs with phone both showing code but then......nothing.......tries to connect to watch and fails.....
am I missing something
please help cos right now I hate Samsung so much for making this gear not work
I had that happen while trying to flash a custom recovery and failing which resulting in the watch hard resetting itself. My phone would recognize and pair with the watch but it would go in an endless connecting spree. The solution is to go into your Gear manager and gear plugin app info on the phone or tablet and just clear the data. Or you could just uninstall/reinstall the app and it should do the trick.

Have removed all traces of GM and installed a diff version...cant remember which one I first got that worked...could it be the GM thats doing this and not the version of android

Can't connect to my gear!

hello everybody,
untill last week my gear was working fine, but 2 days ago i wanted to flash null_rom because i was interested in the function on internet bluetooth tethering
i flashed the rom, i connect the gear to my note 3 ( rom s5 ported) and all was working fine, except for the fact that i couldn't use bluetooth tethering.. i don't know why!
so i decided to wipe all and reflash the rom from recovery. Then i reboot the watch and i tried to reconnect phone and gear, and i couldn't! i opened gear manager, find my gear e and paired with my device: the phone said "connecting to gear" and on the watch there was the symbols of connction between the devices.. the gear stuck on this but my phone said that was connected, but i couldn't use the watch beacuse i had always the animation of connecting devices on the gear!
i didn't know what to do, so i decided to reflash the last firmware for gear (android 4.2.2 nc1, not tizen, i don't want it!). Now the problem is worse, i think, because the gear and phone try to connect but the phone says that "the base that i tried to connect could be wrong :/ , while the gear doesn't show nothing! i have always the 2 icon of demostration of connection by bluetooth or nfc: when i try to pair the devices, both phone and watch vibrate and show the code of pairing, i accept in both of device but nothing happens! could someone help me? i also tried to unpair the devices and downgrading the gear manager to reconnect devices, but the older gear manager says that i have to upgrade the software of the gear, but i don't want tizen at all! i like android

Did u use custom rom on your note 3 ? If yes try to reinstall back that rom and if still cannot then u must use original stock rom before can sync with your GG.

Gear 2 Neo on Pixel XL

I know this might be a lost cause but I will ask anyway. I had my watch and loved it(still do) but since getting the Pixel XL I have had issues. These are the steps I have taken so far.
1. turned both watch and phone on and turned on bluetooth
2. watch connected to phone and reset itself
3. connected to phone via bluetooth and got the passkey (stated it would be phone audio only)
4 launched the gear manager and it tried to find it but would not (even though the bluetooth did)
5. downloaded the XDA gear manager and installed it on the phone but it force closes each time.
So anyone else with similar issue? I suspect it is the app version not being for android 7.1 or the fact the watch is no longer compatible with other devices anymore (hopefully not).
Any help is greatly appreciated on this subject.

I have a friend who is having the same issue, Gear 2 on the Pixel XL. We put the app on the phone, reset the watch, but I can't connect the two. Bluetooth connection seems to work, but the app doesn't pick up where it needs to in order to complete the process. He came from a Note 4 (with a Note7 in between). I have an S2 watch I need to try this on as well, but I figure I'll likely have the same issue. Eagerly awaiting an update to fix this!

I would like to know if there's a solution to this as well. I upgraded from a Note 4 and haven't had any luck getting my Neo to show up in Gear Manager for my LG V20.
I came from an S4 and had the exact same issue as stated. It will connect through bluetooth devices, but the Gear Manager app refuses to find or acknowledge it exists.
I suggest doing a factory reset. I have to do a reset every time I flash a new rom on my phone. I have to do this on both the tizen rom and android wear.
Has anyone figured out how to connect pixel XL to the gear neo 2? I am having the same problem. Can connect to watch with Bluetooth, but will not connect through the app.

I reset my phone and know no matter what I try it won't connect this happened at the same time they updated Android Wear. W os . I installed an old version of Android Wear could not connect I flashed different roms

Problem rooting Samsung Galaxy Gear

I was wondering if anyone could help? I am trying to root my Samsung Galaxy Gear but am having issues that I can't find an answer to anywhere else on the internet.
Firstly, I recently got a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) and the Samsung Galaxy Gear came with it, I paired them with each other whilst they where both stock. I then rooted the Samsung Note 2 so I could flash an AOSP 6.0.1 ROM onto it which I have done so with no issues.
Obviously I can't now pair the two together as the Samsung gear manager won't work on a non stick device.
So I am looking to root the Samsung Galaxy Gear. I have followed the rooting instructions on every site I could find (XDA, theunlocked.com, etc). I have installed the Samsung driver.exe from the Samsung Development webpage. I have then enabled USB-Debuging on the watch, put it in its cradle and plugged it into the computer. The computer has then detected it and installed the drivers.
So now at this point the computer has found the watch and if I go to "my computer" I can see it listed and I can access it's SD card and all that.
Now I move onto the next step which is using cydia impactor and this is where my problem begins. I opened up cydia impactor without running it as an administrator and clicked run (the correct SuperSU option was listed in the drop down menu). After clicking run I get a prompt saying "requires android device" even though my Gear is detected by the computer.
I have then tired everything I can think of, I've tied all the different USB leads I have, I've tried all the different USB ports on my computer, I have tried doing the whole process again on a different computer. I can't think of what else to do.
I've tried putting the watch in download mode and downloading SDB drivers but to no affect.
I also never got the USB-Debuging pop up on the watch that unusually says "allow connection to this computer".
Does anyone have another ideas as to how else I can root my Samsung Galaxy Gear or how I can resolve this issue.
