hmm you tried another ftf and latest flashtool? or tried SUS?
if all of them not worked so try that:
in flashtool when flashtool start flashing the ftf DISCONNECT your phone!!!!!
this may change the soft brick type...
Then try to flash the ftf again

I'm sorry, but that is a really irresponsible thing to suggest.
To anybody reading this thread and thinking of trying that : NEVER do this. You can possibly hard brick your device if you disconnect it when Flashtool is writing to it.

Disconnecting during flash might possibly render the phone useless!

for me also same problem but i flashed tft and removed my memory card, then its okay.

If you knew that, then you should have warned them before suggesting it.
If they had bricked their phone, who would pay for a new one? You?
People come here and ask questions because they trust the people here to give proper advice, not guess work and dangerous procedures.

A soft brick is recoverable most of the time and not a huge problem. The worst that usually happens is that you have to wipe the phone and lose your data.
A hard brick means the end and an expensive repair or a new device. If that had happened, then what? You would say sorry and move on while they would be left with a dead phone.
Just be careful what you advise people to do, that's all I'm saying. People ask here because they don't know about these things and the risks involved.

x10 and XZ are different models don't experiment.
Download your phone models firmware and flash
Please use SUS/Emma if flashtool does not resolve your issue
suggest you to take it to a service center instead of hard bricking the phone if all methods fail

this sounds illegal !
but who cares
+ flashing uncompatible firmware or kernel can do this. (for example flash kernel of s4!!!)
BUT is thr anyway to know u were unlocked or not...
if i be instead of ur region service center i wouldn't accept ur phone cause first step of doing something with android is unlocking + rooting ! but this becomes a scenario; now service should think u were stupid (sorry) and didn't have any knowledge and f*up ur phone and ..................................
btw there might be way to know it for example ur phone logs on sony servers or any other servers that they can check it!
(one good thing is almost centers don give sh* with these and will replace ur phone!)
:good:
Thanks guys.. I hope it will help people to get there phone replaced.. Ofcourse it will be a wrong way.. But its okey..

Take a 6 inch nail and a hammer, place the spikey end of the nail on the screen and hit the other end reasonably hard with the hammer. Boom...instant hard brick.

Who gives a **** about warranty .. My Z1 is already 5 month old just have to take care till 12 months after that warranty has nothing to do

[Q] Xperia Z restars and before booting up RED Led shows up. What to do?

Hi all, today I faced one problem and I don't know what to do.
I have rooted C6603 phone, and when I'm on Root Browser and changing anything - phone restarts and before bootup and screen turning on, RED LED shows up for couple seconds and then It normally starts. Can it be, that phone is going to brick itself ? I have installed SoftKey's (CWM).
Version : 4.1.2 - waiting for K.K.
Thanks for all suggestions or answers .

maybe it is bricked then...
just flash the stock 4.1.2 ftf using flashtool to recover
This sounds like the "remount reboot" issue.

I'll try. So, if it bricked can I just flash it via Sony's update service ? Will it work then?
Yes. A repair via Sony Update Service or flashing an FTF with Flashtool will fix most problems that occur.

And what can happen If will not do anything? Will it brick itself after some time or what?
On the right way, I have camed off rubber from headphone claps, so, Can I pull that clap out without phone disassembly? I can clearly see in that little hole, that It have some fatter back, so, If i'll try to push it and get out, will it work without making seriously damage?
Thanks in advice.
It shouldn't just brick for no reason.

Got the 4.4.2 update!!!!! Help!!!

Hello!!!!!
I finally got the OTA update in my country so what do you think guys? I got some questions here:
1- I update my device or wait for the next version?
2- im now rooted with dual recovery. I know i will lose the dual recovery but if i checked the survival mode in superSU app do i keep the root after the update?
Now i running existenZ 6.6.0 based on stock Rom with stock kernel (maybe?) and locked bootloader!
3- do i brick my device if updated now if im running this rom?
Please answer fast bcz i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!:silly:
Thanks
All the best!
The OTA will fail, because it checks that /system isn't modified before updating. That check will fail because you're using a custom rom.

you will have to manually flash the ftf

[Q][Solved] Phone doesn't respond to anything

hi guys,
I just tried to install a Rom but after i wiped the system etc, i pressed something wrong(philZ recovery is over responsive) which made it reboot. Now it doesn't react to anything except power button+volume up and then it only shows the sony logo and turn off again. It doesn't respond when i put in the charger or when i try to get in flash or fastboot mode. And I also can't get into recovery. Please help me because i really need my phone :'(
Thanks in advance.
Which ROM did you try to install and what did you exactly do?
My guess is you have wiped the system partition. Install a stock ROM with Flashtool.

Weird question

So, month or so ago, I got Xperia Z from my brother. At that time it was on 4.2.2, so I flashed Generic 4.4.2 ftf on it right away. What I noticed is that "about" says that phone model is C6603, which is LTE model, but as I remember it was C6602, which is regular model. Also on the lower part of the phone there is printer that its C6602 and today I also checked Imei, which again says it's C6602. So what happened? Which model it really is? Did flashing wrong rom did anything or is it dangerous for phone in any way?
P.S. There is no LTE in my country so I can't test it.
