unless some engineer invent and Ir device that connect into the mini usb port. I know before grifftin had made an IR device connect into an audio handsfree output for PDA with no IR

Anyone use GPS over USB with S730?

Hello!
I've read many posts about using S730 with GPS over Bluetooth but has anyone used a USB GPS receiver?
For me this would be very handy since this would consume less power (I assume) compared to using a Bluetooth connection.

hello,
locking for the same. Send and receive data via mini USB connector for use a Garmin Vista, Usb memory stick, Adapter for serial connection for older Garmin and other devices.

Something like this would work

You just need to use an adapter like a left/right rca cable to a mini plug.

Rpi android IR blaster native android detection?

not sure if this is the right section for this but i am wondering if there is a way to attach an IR emitter LED to a Rpi running any version of android ,(preferably a pi zero) either to the GPIO pins or through USB and have it be detected as a built in IR blaster by PI android
the purpose is to build a cheap anymote device out of a pi or pi zero and have the anyomote app be able to detect the IR blaster on the device
anymote works with a limited number of android cell phones and tablets with IR blaster built in to get full IR remote capability not just wifi remote capability, but it does ont detect external IR devices such as those attached through the 3.5mm headphone jack and does not work with most built in IR blaster either ,certain ones like LG and sony are not supported
so i was wondering if i could run android on a pi zero connect some IR LED's to the GPIO pins(or through USB) add a bluetooth dongle
and have a cheap anymote device to use with alexa so i can vocie control my home theater through alexa anymote skill
the main obstacle of course is how to make the anymote detect the IR leds as a built in IR blaster
