Galaxy Gear internet access via 4g lte - Samsung Galaxy Gear

I use Null23 with an unrooted Sprint Note 3 to access the internet. I have Bluetooth tethering set on the phone and Bluetooth internet access set on the Gear. I can connect to the internet OK, but only when I am connected to the internet by wifi on the phone. If I set the wifi to off on the phone, the gear will not connect to the internet. Am I missing something? Are the 3G/4G speeds too slow so that the gear doesn't think it is connected?

Thanks for directing to the other thread. It appears that for sprint you still need planet and spoofing even though the note2 lets you check Bluetooth tethering.

Thanx guys..I can tether my device to tablets, pc's etc. but I used to be able to connect galaxy to internet via note 3 and receive a connection even on 4g, now only when I'm connect to wifi. What is planet? I have spoof on null Rom. Thanx again.

Planet is Pdanet as corrected by my wonderful spell checker.:cyclops:

I use screenshare to browse with my gear. Very little battery drain. Download it from playstore.

Need best hot spot software

Hey guys,
I tried a lot of applications to turn my laptop into wifi hot spot like ConnectifyMe, mhotspot, and Wifi hotspot creator, & Virtual router but nothing is working fine. I'm unable to connect my Galaxy Note to wifi hot spot.
Please some one tell me which software is best to use for wifi. If it is free means very good. And the android mobiles should connect to it.

Are you able to connect other devices with your laptop hotspot??
What about vice versa ... does your laptop connects to Galaxy note wifi hot spot?
Here is someone have wrote. I forget the name of poster but i have copied it for my reference. Most probably it was by Ravindra
you can do without any SW
On you XP machine, Go into Control panel
Open “Network Connections”
Right click on “Wireless Connection” and click on “Properties”
Click on the “Wireless Networks” tab and select the check-box which says “Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings”
Under “Preferred networks” click “Add”
Type a name in “Network name” text box
Select “Shared” from the options under “Network Authentication”
Under Data encryption select “WEP” and type in your password in “Network Key” field and now click “OK”
Now the new HotSpot should show in the list of preferred networks.
Click on the “Advance” button and select “Computer-to-computer (ad hoc) networks only” and press close
Hit “OK”.
Now, you need to share the wired internet connection (LAN) so that your Galaxy Note now can access the internet connection through this HotSpot you just created.
For this, Go to local Area Connections, right click it and select properties
Go to the “Advanced” tab and under Internet Connection Sharing check the box which says “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection” and make sure the box under that is NOT selected so that no one can disable the network remotely.
Hit “OK”
You are done. Now connect your Galaxy Note using your XP machine as a hotspot.
Hello Mr. Dr. Ketan,

Ad hoc support for ics?

Hi,
Is there any sulotions for ICS to support ad hoc? I have searched alot and I need to connect my Note to my PC's internet. The problem is that my pc is to old to support connectify etc...
Reverse tethering app uses my data plan in order to appear the connection as 3G. And it uses cable. Not good enough.
Ad hoc would be best option.
Thank you

If you ever heard of an application for Nokia called JOIKU HOTSPOT you will be interested on this topic. I use joiku hotspot on my nokia phone to enable to connect to multiple devices at home. I don't have wired internet. Since this is an ahhoc wifi hotspot I am not updating to ICS unless a hack is available to enable wpa supplicant to "see" the joiku adhoc signal. On gingerbread I had to download and install a modified wpa supplicant file to connect to joiku .

I have used joiku on my nokia
exactly i still dont understand wat exact you want.
You saying reverse tethering have some issue - Now reverse tether application using your wired Internet of your PC for your android device
While Joiku spot is for sharing your device network to PC
So question is you want to share net from your device to PC
OR
want to share PC internet to device?
Edit :wat i understand now is
You dont have wifi router, but just you have created wireless netwok (virtual) and you want to share your device net to PC wirelessly
if yes
try this, it have ad hoc support if i remember correctly, since long i have not used it.

I don't know. It is strange. If i have no credits in my sim card, and I connect to internet via the app, it goes fine. But I can't see connection as 3G and some apps don't work due to this.
Then when I put credits to my sim card, the connection appears as 3G. And the data plan button turns green whenb checking in setings. If i turn of I lose coonection as 3G. Some times it doesn't use data plan, but often it does.
BTW, I never use data plan for anything it is always disabled, but the reverse tether app turns on.
No idea what is wrong.

Tethered via Bluetooth, using phones wifi instead of data. Works fine with international roms, but with some carrier branded ROMs, if tethering is enabled, wifi is disabled
Gear itself has no wifi, but apps can be tricked into thinking Bluetooth tether is actually a wifi connection via the network spoofer (closed framework module)

So we established there are no apps that will share the wifi internet via bluetooth and that the switching off of wifi during tethering is an automated function. So is there a way to prevent that auto-switch from occurring?
At any rate, if you have the galaxy note 3, and you have a USB 3.0 computer, just tether the internet from USB. Great for when at home, but the downside of this is: if you want to reverse tether from wifi in an airport or coffee shop, then a laptop is required. And at that point, what would you be doing on the watch, that isn't easier on either your phone or laptop, now that you're forced to already have those items out?
Therefore, it would be nice to tether wifi to bluetooth so I can just leave my phone in my pocket and not be forced to use mobile data when I don't want to.

Depends on rom. Most (if not all) international roms can use phone's wifi with Bluetooth tether
Spoofer Module?

[Q] Any way to force the mobile data network?

I have a need to connect to a WiFi device (Camera) not connected to the internet and be able to get internet data via 4G at the same time. Is it possible to force connection to the mobile network for data with the WiFi on? Rooted on KK.
TIA
All I can think of would be to tether your data, portable hotshot to the camera.

Any suggestions where I can learn about portable hotspots? Is this a device requiring a separate data plan and acts like a mobile wifi access point? The camera I'm attempting to use wants to be on it's own network.
I've tethered before to a PC thru both USB or Bluetooth, but not familiar with hotspot.

I've tried Wifi tethering, but the camera wants to act like a router/master and can not be changed. The SSID and passwords are the only settable things.
Ad Hoc is not an option. It does the address assignment and security password management. Maybe I need a different software on the phone? Or maybe a configuration I'm not doing??

Wifi tether router.. does it work?

I apologize that I put this in the wrong section. Could an administrator place it in the right spot? Thanks.

if you look around a bit on the vzw s6 forum there is a modified .zip you can flash in flashfire to enable native tethering.. why not just use that?

Excuse my ignorance, but I have the full ability to tether from my device natively without any modification. Are we talking unlimited tether? Because the Verizon Hotspot app allows for tethering with no issue. Am I missing something? Is that not on every s6 edge?
Here's what I got going on. I have an app radio 3 in my car by pioneer. To be able to use the touch screen and to mirror my phone to the app radio, I need to use a Google Chromecast, and the app radio unchained reloaded app. With this in mind, when I use the native tether that comes with the phone, it disables wifi. Now my chrome cast is connected to the net like it's supposed to, but it doesn't see my phone cause the phone isn't on the same network. Make sense? Using the Wifi Tether Router App, it keeps wifi enabled so my phone is acting like a hotspot which the chrome cast connects to, AND allows my phone to also see the chrome cast. Hope that isn't too confusing.

wifi tether means you share your phones data connection with another device.. what you mean (correct me if im wrong) is to share your phones data connection AND have wifi on to connect it to your pioneer? have you tried the way you used it on other devices? howd you set it up before?
