i just went through this problem on my bravo so i want to share the solution.
actually i searched the XDA but didnt get the solution.
"think again before going to hard reset or clear cache, there might be some easy ways to get rid of it "
i got this message whenever i receive a phone call.
This error message is a common complaint among Sprint users, but it can easily be removed by taking the following steps:
method #1
1. From the Home screen, hit the Menu key.
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Select Call settings.
5. Select Reject with message.
6. Count how many messages are in this section.
7. Delete them until you have less than five.
After reducing the number of messages to fewer than five, you should be able to receive calls without an error message compelling you to force close the call.
method #2
Something I've also had to do to get the phone working again was going into the 'manage applications' screen and clearing the data for the phone application. This can be accomplished as follows:
From the home screen, press Menu
Tap Settings
Tap Applications
Tap Manage Applications
At the top, tap the All tab
Navigate to and tap your equivalent of the phone app (may be called Phone or Dialer)
Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data as available
Turn your phone off, then back on.
Another means of resolving those app errors, hope this helps!
method #3
didnt work above methods? strange!! hmm
100% solution
1.go into recovery
2. go to wipe/format option
3. clear cache
4. hard reset( not necessary, try only clear cache if works)
5. reboot.

Help pls...

The reason why i'm posting my problem right here is: I'm unable to post it where it has to be posted because i don't have the 10 posts i need therefore.
So pls help me:
I have the "TyphooN CyanogenMod 7" rom.
I flashed it 2 days ago to my htc hd2, everything worked fine. Then i entered the MAGLDR Bootloader just to have a look for something (i didn't change anything!).
I chosed the last point ("shut down" or sth. like that) and when i rebooted my statusbar was disappeared....
I don't know how to get it back...
On every reboot there comes up a message:
We are sorry
The application statusbar (process com.android.systemui) was closed unexpected.
Please try it again.
"force closing" [button]
Whats that? What can i do?
Pls help...
re-flash your rom!!!
Noone an other idea!?...
I'm a newbe, re-flash will need too much time for me
Is there no other way!?
Hardreset is as bad as re-flashing, because all of the apps an settings...
and i also think that it wouldn't work...
But thx, if noone else has another idea i'll need to re-flash it...

Try fix permissions
do i need to reboot after that?!
because at the moment there are no changes... status bar didn't come back...
EDIT: I tried a reboot after fix_permissions, but nothing...
i can see in the terminal the process com.android.systemui, but the message (see first post) pops up again...
I need more ideas pls
P.S.: Thanks anyway, hg3atintin
reflash your rom. but don't wipe personal data - all your apps, accounts will be saved.
enter magldr. wipe dalvik (in advance) and partition. but don't wipe data.
install zip from sd card - select your rom.
this will rewrite the rom, keep your data. it will take you <5 minutes. try this and report back.
Reflash your Rom.
Thx, jsmccabe78!
I've done that and it works fine
Sorry for my late answer, I was busy last week

First, I have no idea what you're talking about.
Second, this isn't a phone.
Third, you can't put Cyanogenmod on it.
Fourth, I'm a jerk and not very helpful to boot.

I gather English is not your normal language. Why don't you use your native language and run it through Google translate (or other translate on the internet).
Have you tried doing a factory reset? Hold down the + volume button while turning on the power. It should present you with a menu to reset the device.
thank all
their English ability is limited hope people understand
said simply, then my phone now can not install anything, because after reboot it will all be erased, I have done many ways but all failed

If I understand you, your S7 will do the initial setup every time you power up. Have you tried completing the initial setup, then going into the menu and performing a device reset there, from inside the OS? Maybe it will trigger something...
is not successful, ds7 is now only one is faulty as I have tried every way but not,

[Q] sim problem security error please help

hey..i tried to flash my phone with rom manager but when my phone rebooted got stuck at "LG" logo...I used LG Update tool emergency recovery...the phone starts,i enter the pin,my sim card unlocks but it doesn't connect to the network and when the homescreen is locked it says security error and at the top it says press menu to unlock but when i press it nothing happens...what should i do???please help..sorry for my english
start the phone without sim and press 3845#*970# in dialer
if is not work, try flashing with stock firmware.
This happened to me aswell, nothing seemed to work... I returned it for service, unrooted and did the SW upgrade so nobody could find out that I had flashed Nova. The warranty should cover this if it is a manufactor problem so I made it look like it was but however I had "LauncherPro plus Menu System" installed so they blamed that and I had to pay for the service... ._. My LG hasn't arrived home yet... after soon a month, damn they are slow.

man i've tried everything....the only solution is to take it to lg service...just do an emergeny recovery and factory reset to unroot it and delete the apps...
The downsite of taking it to service, is that they upgrade it to v10e, which is extremely hard to root... I've tryed everything now and nothing worked.
I've tryed factory reset, Emergency Recovery with LG tools.Nothing... And take it LG service. Service says, "motherboard will change".So i'm waiting Service.
SOLVED !

I will tell you to use "windows enabler" but if didn't work with I have no idea.
Check if it was "on" at the taskbar.
I had exact the same problem, it occurred after i switched sim's, i was using the nova rom. I sent my phone to the service center (flashed with stock fw before ofc) and they changed the mainboard on warranty.
what to do in windows enabler?
Nothing to do, just install/open it and redo the flash guide
Sent from my blasting P970 with zeus
i don't understand :$
can you send me a link to a guide :/
(if my father knows...he'll kill me xD)
---------- Post added at 01:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:22 AM ----------
the other problem is that the link above is not sending me anywhere :/
Go to Development section and find the UPK package there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111771
Grab Windows Enabler, open as admin (in XP not needed) and then you should be able to click all buttons
Hope u make it before any1 gets to know

Then you have some issues with that Cynagenmod, and how to fix that I don't know. Maybe you should try different Rom or flash different Kernel only.

quick tools compass not working

By not working, I mean it is permanently stuck on preparing. Will never load beyond, and also means I can't use any of the other tools.

Bottom line, is that it should work flawlessly.
I have a SM-N960F model and have no issues.
All options working fine.
Maybe try locating app in Setting/Apps /Quick Tools and clearing Data or cache
See screenshots
Good luck

other,options maybe ?
I presume , your other Edge panels is working fine ?
Have you disabled/freezed , an app that has a knock on effect ?
Reminds me ,that with my old Note 8 ,i had issues with the Always on Display not working .
i tried everything ,resetting Settings on device ,clearing Device cache etc, etc , nothing solved my issue.
Eventually when i did a full factory reset ...it was working !
who knows ,i know factory resetting is not everyone 's favorite option ,but as a last resort ..?
As stated in my post above ,we know that Quick Tools , does work on the Note 9 !
Good luck
post note ,
my experience with trying to re install an APK and i get an error etc
,it was either that the APK / APP was incompatible with my device
( we know that it is compatible !)
or that the previous / earlier version ( APK ) that was installed /on device was corrupted /or had a different signature etc or keeps on getting corrupted by another system app ?
Thats why a full clean Factory Reset might help .???

Yes all other panels work fine.
I don't use package disablers.
It seems overkill to factory reset over such a small and trivial function. I'll just trudge on through I guess.

Yes, i agree with you thats it seems like an overkill to factory reset.
I my case, with Always on Display not working,
( i was using it very seldom at that time)
I also had a similar attitude.
Unfortunately, it irritated the hell out of me, that Always on display , was not working.
After a period of time (about 3mths later) and without considering all the hassle of a factory reset, i just did it.
Result.
Always on display was working and at last had peace of mind !
Good luck
Still an issue for me.
Short of factory reset, I've tried everything.
Yes I have this issue also, did you manage to fix it?

I factory reset when I got to Pie, so it's been working great since. No solution without a reset I'm afraid.
Ok thanks.
Edit: Ok I've got it working by going into settings/apps then clicking in the 3 dots and then 'reset app preferences'
I didn't get to find out which app was causing the issue but it's all working fine now.
This Works

Yes this does the trick..saved me from performing a factory reset thanks
I know this is old but seeing as it's the first result for this issue I wanted to add another solution that worked for me and does not require resetting all app preference which can be a huge bummer especially if you've done a lot of configuration of your apps and disabling apps etc.
Anyway, what worked for me was the following:
Go to Settings > Developer options > Background check and make sure Quick Tools is enabled.
I had a similar problem on another phone, I fixed it by setting the application access to the sensors. I accidentally canceled this, then the compass did not work.
