I would like to know as well, having to go to a completely different phone's page to ask questions about your phone doesn't feel right.
Using the vanilla CM11 from July here...
I believe that many unified builds require a KK bootloader that the Atrix HD doesn't have. The lack of a KK bootloader limits the developers of those ROMs.
Well, the short answer is that "it's complicated".
There is no single place for Unified builds, and there are several ROMS so it is really up to the developer to post where they see fit. As one example, let's take the most popular and original unified ROM: CyanogenMod CM11. We have our own thread here for Atrix HD related issues, but the thread for the Razr HD is much more active. I've recently started monitoring the Razr HD threads because of that.
The good news is that, in the eyes of CM, we are the same device (since we are all grouped into the same msm8960 pool). The bad news is that since they unified, some of those devices got a new KK bootloader while the rest of us are stuck on the JB bootloader. So if you want CM11, you need to only use the one labeled as Epinter's build, because he is compiling it specifically for those still on a JB bootloader. Honestly, ANY rom based on a unified CM11 base that hasn't been specifically modified to handle this issue will NOT work on our phone (or any msm8960 device still on the JB bootloader).
So I think development on a lot of those ROMs that were based on unified builds has stalled until we're on the official KitKat from Motorola. We're sort of in limbo, unless you use Epinter's build. I'm still using the last Carbon Rom, but I'll probably be switching to CM shortly.

I've been running Liberty 2.0 on my D3 for quite a while now. Starting to get jealous of everyone who's one or even two builds up on me.
I looked into what ROMs were available for the D3 for ICS, specifically because some of the custom apps I use are not compatible with JB yet. I found HashCode's CM9 build and his AOKP build (which could be the same thing, and I just don't understand.
I also posted once before where someone recommended Gummy for the Droid 3, but I could never nail down which version was the most up-to-date and was working the best. I learned that they stopped working on the Gummy ROM over the summer, but if they had a working build, I would love to try it out.
All I am looking for is the most complete build of ICS on the Droid 3. I use this phone as my primary device, so I would like to be able to use the camera, internet, data, etc.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to recommend what you use/have used.

There is no 100% working ICS rom as of now, but with Kexec they have a custom kernel booting and building from there. I would settle into a GB rom for stability/everyday use and have either an ICS or JB rom just to test. You can check the development forum for the current active CM9/CM10/AOKP by Hashcode, the latest CM10 (Jelly Bean) Kexec rom only seems to have a sleep issue and no camera, everything else seems fine so far. Safe Strap 3.05 lets you have up to 5 bootable systems without swapping nandroid backups; Stock + 4 custom rom slots.
http://blog.hash-of-codes.com/how-to-safestrap/ Here is Hash's website about safestrap and to download.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804665 Here is the thread about Hash's current work on Kexec and available roms. Read up some of the last ~20 pages for current rom and information on it, just make sure to learn the new safestrap before playing around.
As for other roms; The Gummy team split up as I recall, no more Gummy roms...
Personal main usage; I use Maverick ROM 4.0, good battery, good tweaks, looks nice.. version 4.5 has overclock, but a bug in it causes battery drain so stick with 4.0.
I see alot of Tocuhpad Dev threads and I just pulled my TP out of storage.
Its running Cyanogen Mod 4.0.4 (System settings says Cyanogen Mod Version 9-20120930 Nightly tenderloin)
Build date Sun Sept 30th 2012
I have CWM-based Recovery v5.0.2.6
moboot 0.3.5
As you can see its very outdated.
What should I be running now if I am looking for daily reliability with most features working? Thanks for your input (If there is a newer guide I can follow to update from my current version to a new one please post it, thank you)
I would suggest that you read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147284.
It is an excellent guide with video tutorials if necessary. Roland has also posted an additional guide of the newer more experimental Roms also in Touchpad Development forum.
Hopefully they will help you make a decision based on what you need to use your tablet for ie Bluetooth/gaming etc.
Have fun there have been lots of improvements since you last used it.

Just read the first page, then try a couple of different ROMs at the very least you can see all the different variations available and the requirements needed to install them(Partition size.
If you then have a specific question having tried the above it will probably be a lot easier to help you.
Personally, I would go with milaq's last Jelly Bean 4.2.2 rom cm10.1
The next step is 4.3 - read need for resizing of /system, and/or /data partitions - or 4.4 (Kitkat), which is still very much experimental/developmental.
Milaq's 10.1 Jelly Bean roms are very stable and good for daily use.
Just my opinion!
Peace
Thanks, I actually went the opposite way and did the test version of 4.4 to see how it is
It appears you are already partitioned to run the newest ROMs, but if you or others want to try at least a 10.1 ROM (Android 4.2.2) without having to increase partition size, OaT's Light n Tasty (LnT) is very stable and except for the lack of bluetooth plaguing a number of the post-CM9 ROMs the ROM is very solid. He somehow lightens the ROM and the GAPPs so it runs in the pre-CM10 partitions. I am leery of going all the way back to webOS, removing Android, doctoring and changing partitions, and then starting over. At some point I am sure I will, especially if a really solid KitKat ROM is released with bluetooth.
Many people have stayed on CM9 btw, as they find CM9 the most dependable.
Here's a link to the XDA discussion on OaT LnT. Note his OP has an older version of his ROM... if you scroll towards the end he includes a link to an October 8 version he has been using recently. Make sure to also use the GAPPs he includes in the OP, since it is lightened as well. He leaves off a few things... like calendar and browser, since so many people can and do use ones downloaded from Play Store (is. I use aCalendar and Next browser).

CM 10.1 (JB 4.2.2) doesn't require repatitioning, its the newer 10.2/4.3 and Kitkat 4.4 that require/advise a larger /system partition.
I actually went back to ICS from 10.1 thinking it had been better, but tbh the experience wasn't what I remembered and I very quickly went back to 10.1 (via Kitkat, briefly, but too buggy for me atm). Battery life, responsiveness and stability were all better, for me, with 10.1 (spceifically milaq's roms).
Having said that, its worth giving yourself a bigger /system partition - 5 or 600mb - and trying out the latest kitkat builds, there's lots of promise there!
I will definitely be going back once certain bugs and issues are ironed out...
Peace
Next time I buy a phone I'll check for development first. This phone has suck poor development. Even my wife Motorola xt925 has 4.4.4 and I'm stock on jelly bean.
Great piss off the few we have. LoL
if you want the 4.4.4 you can learn how to compile from source yourself. i tried with my nexus 4 but had a hard time and gave up trying to develop a rom. the problem we have here seems that there arent any source for our phone. be patient... Playfulgod is working on getting us cm11.
btw. stock rooted is fine with xposed frameworks. for me custom roms have their own problems. stock is actually better imo
You can always learn to do it yourself. Or since all you want is to have the latest and newest then you need to go to the play store and down load "go launcher" they always add the new android versions with themes so you can be cool and have the newest look. Or hey I hear that APPLE is about to release the iPhone 6. Maybe go that route.
And by the way your wife's xt925 isn't running an OTA of 4.4.4. Shes running cm or some other built ROM. But its not official 4.4.4 so go NV the RAZR forums.
What a stupid thread

I've checked multiROM Manager and XT1254 is not supported, however if some dev would like to take a crack at it here is a wiki that explains how to port it (and if you can in the first place). I've also done extensive testing with dual boot patcher. I got it to work once with a 4.4 ROM (I can't remember exactly which), but after switching back and forth between the ROMS once I couldn't "escape" the secondary ROM and had to restore a backup to get back into the primary ROM (crdroid v3.3).
If you have attempted to dual boot on the Droid Turbo please leave your experiences and findings below, I'd love to see a working solution. Thanks!
Edit: I've found two that work with crdroid v3.3

Well I have found one ROM (AOKP MM unofficial) that worked flawlessly with dual boot patcher running on crdroid v3.3. What's odd is that the nougat version by the same author does not work, and in fact no nougat ROM has worked with dual boot patcher for me.
Just some commentary... I've never understood the multi-ROM booting thing. I really only run one ROM at a time for both me and my wife. (I buy two phones at a time, and keep them identical as far as settings.) I do have many more apps than my wife -- but same phone, same ROM, same settings.
If I wish to save a ROM to try another out, I can always use TWRP backup save my current ROM and settings, and temporarily install another to see if it's better. But I have no desire to constantly switch back and forth between ROMs, for my "daily driver".
I'm not criticizing your desire in any way, I'm just suggesting maybe that's why it's not available with this phone. Not much demand for reasons I stated.

I'm actually with you as far as temporarily installing it to test the ROM, however I have a rather annoying reason to still want it. The only ways to cash checks with my bank is to either physically mail the checks or deposit them by photo. As I'd rather have an automatic solution, I'm left with the latter. However, this leaves me with the problem that the camera doesn't work in their app on custom nougat ROMS (which I run). I tried talking their dev team into fixing it, but they reasonably don't want anything to do with supporting custom ROMS. As I'd rather not go through the whole backup/wipe/restore/repeat routine every time I want to cash a check, I am unfortunately left with dual booting a ROM that their app does support (most ROMS marshmallow or older).
I found another one that works (and finally works with my bank as well ). Here is the forum post for the Bliss ROM.

Both of those ROMs are by @NepoRood. He posted them over here in the Droid Turbo forum instead of the other Quark forum as he owned a Droid Turbo. But so does @calsurferpunk, and he still posts his CM14/LOS ROM over in the other Quark forum. We used to be one big forum, but after the split most Quark development got posted over there as the Droid Turbo bootloader had not yet been unlocked by Sunshine. After the Sunshine team unlock, devs just continued posting over there for the most part...
@NepoRood shattered his Droid Turbo, and now has a different phone -- but you could ask him what he did differently to allow multi-ROM for those two Marshmallow ROMs that changed with his Nougat ROM. He said he was still going to post AOKP ROM updates with the help of testers in this forum.
Also, for his Nougat AOKP, make sure you are using his PERSONALIZED builds, not any of the "nightlies". To gain official status, he had to agree not to change anything in the AOKP ROM, but he was allowed to make and post personalized builds which have tweaks.
Last, you've tried all these? Current list of Nougat and Marshmallow. I didn't bother keeping track of Lollipop.

OK, that's a practical reason I can understand.
So, it's nothing about "Safety Net" issues, it's basically newer custom ROMs (Nougat) don't work?
The app of the bank I use (a nationwide mega bank) works fine with RR 6.X (Marshmallow) and before that with CM12.1 (Lollipop) in depositing checks via photo. I've not tried Nougat ROMs yet. So, I may run into the same problem...
I've stayed with RR 6.x as it's rock solid and allows me to use a few xposed modules like Google Assistant Enabler (to turn on and unlock display), YouTube Adaway (to block YouTube ads, which regular Adaway does not) and MinMin Guard (which blocks 99.9% of all in app ads). I wish @bhb27 would release one more "rollup" update before development completely ends.
Of course I will switch to Nougat one day, but I didn't switch to Marshmallow until October of 2016, about the time Nougat was being released.

I knew that Moto Maxx and Droid Turbo were basically the same phone, but I always stuck to the Turbo forum for fear of bricking my phone/messing up my cell connectivity. I didn't realize that most of the ROMS are cross compatible :/
I tested a few of them but I never saw your list. Thanks for maintaining that, I just wish I had seen it sooner!

Yep, I've got the photo check deposit to work on ROMS that don't pass safety net multiple times. The problem appears stem from the way custom nougat ROMS (and more specifically the way my bank app) interacts with the camera, though I haven't tried logging the app's behavior so your guess is as good as mine.
I miss Bliss, on my Turbo (heck, I miss my Turbo, lol)
Nougat ROMs have more security than Marshmallow, it's most likely Your bank app that is causing the problems though. I'm running Screw'D Nougat on my Nexus 6P and have no problems with using my banks mobile app (but, we're Rednecks, )
As far as MultiROM goes, I didn't do anything special to my builds, I don't know why Nougat doesn't work...

All the ROMs (especially Marshmallow and Nougat) are cross compatible for all Quarks -- except for CF's Verizon stock-based ROM. This is thanks to the CM dev @Skrilax_CZ who adapted the Motorola kernel so all CM (now LOS) based ROMs would work for all Quarks, after Sunshine team unlocked the Droid Turbo bootloader. @bhb27 has continued that work. Even ROMS like "AOSP" still all use that "universal" kernel coding for all Quark ROMs. Again, the exception is CF's ROM, which are purely Verizon stock firmware, just debloated and tweaked.
There was one older Lollipop ROM that never got updated with the "universal" kernel (after the November 2015 Droid Turbo bootloader unlock), but even CM12.1 (Lollipop), RR Lollipop, and @calsurferpunk's "unofficial" CM12.1 was also cross-compatible with all Quarks.
Multi-ROM has now been released by @bhb27, plus we now have SEVEN Nougat ROMs.

If you value the video-out capability, you'll have to settle for Marshmallow. The only bug is the common shutdown one. I have that ROM archived. Otherwise, you're on your own
