[Q] Turn off auto call history delete - Moto X Q&A

Hey all,
My stock Verizon moto x automatically deletes my call history after about a month, which I don't want it to do. Is there a way to turn this off? It'd be really helpful for me to see the entire call history with a given contact.
Thanks!

I doubt you can turn it off.
There are however apps for saving call history.

Can can I prevent my screen from waking up?

It wakes up everytime I get a text message and sometimes seems to wake up for no reason. This didn't always happen but I can't find and option to disable this.
Anyone know what I can do about it?
i dont think so it might be better to leave it alone.

On my phone, every time I receive a text message, the buttons light up for about half a second then starts to vibrate and play the ringtone. It's been doing that since the whole CnD thing and I've just ignored it since it didn't seem to be causing any issues.
You could go into the SMS app and shut off notifications from there. Might make a nice, powersaving script.
I don't know why the phone powers up without a notification. I have found I can't turn on my Wifi when I turn on Background data and it's been off for quite a while (still have autosync off). My data connection is showing heavy useage. The big G is watching us all. It makes me wonder if something is coming in to your phone from somewhere to wake it.
If it's killing you, you could try living without apps for a day you suspect might be doing it, or just schedule a kill at intervals if you can't uninstall it.
You could go into settings and change the screen timeout to 15 Sec so if it does come on, it wont stay on long..

display turns on after sending text messages....

hi people!! i have a question, whishing you could help me please!!
i have installed in my diamond one program call sms reports eraser, which automatically saves the delivery reports in a different paste (not in inbox).. i need that because sometimes i need to check if the text message really gets to its destination..
however, i have a little problem: because the pda assumes the incoming delivery reports, it turns the display on..
so, i'm asking if anyone know some trick that could not turn the display on, because sometimes i forget that, and becaus the diamond is unlock, i do a lot of things without knowing (when it is on pockets....)
thanks in advance!!!
you could tap the battery icon make it so the light goes off after ten seconds use diamond tweek and make the phone lock its self auto

X1 Call menu alternative

Hello!
I'm having some problem with my X1 phone. When every some1 calls me my phone seems to answer or hangs up the call by itself when its in my pocket. Im guessing the screen is very sensitive. Is there any alternative call menu or some way for the keylock to stay on even when some1 calls?
Thanks

hey
as I'm not sure what rom you are on some feedback/options from mine
under start - settings - personal - phone - advanced (tab) there is a flag "Reject call with text message: <customizable message body>"
check if you find that and whether it is enabled
don't know whether there are additional options anywhere else
alternatively you can install/use apps, like Smart Lock (under settings - system when cooked in) to configure your lock screen behaviour, e.g. for incall|outcall|outcall connect
hope that helps some, will check for your feedback
best
I would start with making sure the X1 is 'face-up' when in your pocket. Meaning the phone's face is not touching your leg.
Similar to what DK said above, what ROM are you using? Even more specific, what phone dialer are you using? I know on occasion I have had problems with the HTC dialer on certain ROMs.

Q... How to keep the screen on while calling?

Hello everyone
Wanna ask if there is an application which can make the screen ON while calling
Or at least turn ON as soon as the other party answers?
Sent from my GT-I9000
you mean disable the sensor that automatically turns the screen off when the phone is next to your face?
it lights up really fast less than a sec, even when you take it out and need to look up something.
i don't find it problematic
No no
I meant while it says "Dialing"
Usually i dont put the phone to my ear unless the other party pick up the phone
As in nokia,iphone, etc.
Sent from my GT-I9000
hmm... interesting, mine remains ON until it connects
and i have it set to auto redial
Mine also turns off while dialing numbers, quite anoying really when you want to just signal someone

[Q] How to answer incoming calls without having to unlock the device?

Hi guys,
I am really enjoying my new S10+ just like many of us on this great forum. However, it has caught my attention that when there is an incoming call (when the device is locked), I have to unlock it with a pattern (my method of unlocking besides the finger print) before I can answer the call.
I don't remember that I have to do that on my Note 9, so I am just wondering if there is a setting that I can change to make it easier to answer calls when the device is locked?
Thank you for your input

You do not need to unlock the phone to answer your call. To Answer a phone call on a Samsung phone, you'll need to touch the Green Call Icon and drag your finger outside of the circle toward up. At least it works this way on my S10+.

It is weird that I see this whenever someone calls me
on phone setting, you can use volume up to answer.
I can't see any setting that would cause that. Odd situation indeed. What happens if you tap the "return to call" button without entering the PIN?
Also, just to make sure, you don't have a Bixby Routine set to do something when an incoming call comes in, do you?

If I tap on the "Return to call", it will let me see the normal calling screen without having to entering the PIN.
I don't use Bixby Routine at all, so it shouldn't be related to Bixby.
Every Phone calls need to unlock the screen before answering the calls
Hi All,
RE: Samsung Galaxy S10 plus.
My wife's phone needs to first unlock the screen before she is able to answer it.
I do have the same phone and I don't have to do that.
Where are the Settings to disable that behavior?
Thank you
DO NOT DISTURB MODE (DND)
By chance do you have this activated? When I changed the setting in DND to receive "Full Screen Notifications" I was no longer required to unlock phone to answer calls.
