So my One's battery died the other day and it obviously shut off. no big deal, I plugged it in and went on my way making some dinner. Then a few hours later I went to bed and turned the phone on and it booted up just fine. Then I went to set my alarm for the next morning and it reset itself. This continued endlessly. Reset, boot into android, sit for 30 seconds and reboot. I can get into recovers and was able to clear cache and what not which did not help. I also did a backup and factory reset, then restored with no luck. I ended up restoring an old back up which seems to have worked for the day. However I just flashed a theme and it did not take, so I cleared cache and now I'm in this same boot loop.
Any ideas? I'm using a Bad Boyz 4.4.2 kitkat rom. I've been using it since the beginning of the year with no issues until now.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Had the same issue, I uninstalled the updates for SuperSU and it worked.
I will give that a shot. Thank you

So I've had some weird stuff happening the last couple days, which is to be expected since i've been experimenting with JPH, OCLF 2, and Rooting.
Now, last night I decided to flash back to JG8, re-partitioned, then factory reset. Then I flashed JPH and factory reset. Now after I got all my apps setup again, I thought I was good, but decided to reboot once more. Upon reboot, everything looked like a normal boot, but i was greeted by a phone in a semi factory reset state. By that I mean, everything looked factory, but if I went into manage applications I could see the com.blah.packagnames of some of my apk's i had installed, but none had icons, and they all showed 0 size.
The only possible reason I can think of for this to happen is that I rebooted while my phone was plugged into my pc, and while odin was open (although it was not doing anything at the time).
I'm kind of afraid now of having my phone randomly go back to basically, factory defaults on its own. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a good explanation? If I can reproduce it, I'm happy to avoid it, it's the lack of predictability right now that worries me.
Thanks
Since yesterday my phone has been acting in a strange way, after I downloaded the game Total Conquest it crashed and deleted all, was so called after a long time after he stopped getting time and doing it so I'm restarting in 30 min at 30 min, when I put it to load it crashes all goes and gets caught in the boot screen and it is warm. Already tried everything flashing the rom, put another room, did master reset, wipe cache, wipe / factory reset and it solved nothing. Would anyone help me?
Sorry my english
Hello lads! The last few days I have been trying to fix a huge problem with my Galaxy S4 i9505. I had been using the Google 4.4 rom for almost a month without any problem. One day, when my phone was low on battery it shutted down and I plugged it in my charger to power it on again. When it turned on I was prompted to the screen you see when you use the 4.4 rom for the first time. I had all my apps but everything was resetted. Every setting, all the app data, messages, etc. I thought this was a one time thing so I used about an hour to get everything back to normal again. Then the next day, same happened again. Phone turned off because of low battery, and everything was reset. I tried to google it but with no luck, so I did a factory reset and flashed the newest Google rom (4.4.2) with a new kernel called Ktoonsez. Got everything back to normal again and used my phone for a couple of hours before it just suddenly shutted down once again, but this time with almost full battery. When i tried to turn it on I was stuck on the Google loading animation and had to reflash 4.4.2. It turned back on and this time I decided to let the phone stay stock to see if any of my problems was caused of my apps or settings. It lasted for 2-3 days before the same thing happened again... I tried to flash different modems, other roms and firmwares but nothing have helped so far. I am also prompted with a message each time I turn the phone on which tells me that com.android.phone has stopped working. I have tried several factory resets, wiped dalvik, wiped cache, but still has the same problem... I have now given up trying and wonder if anyone of you know what I can do to fix the problem? Any tip is much appreciated and I hope to hear from you! Thanks!
edit: figured out I posted this is the wrong forum as this is for s4 active and i have a i9505. Sorry! Anyway, please comment if you know how to fix it. Thanks!

HTC One (was m7att, now m7ul) - nine months old on AT&T.
Rooted it with TWRP and a rooted stock ROM nine months ago. Weird symptom of losing root 15 mins after reboot, but I dealt with it.
A month ago my battery drained dead. Upon charging, it went into a reboot loop, staying on the login screen for no more than 5 seconds before the HTC boot up appeared again. Took a lot of time to try different things, but just leaving it alone for 3 days 'fixed it'. No more reboot loop AND I stopped losing root after 15 minutes.
A week later, it did it again. I could get into TWRP, just not do a full boot. I wiped the phone and installed Cyanogenmod 10, everything went great.
Two weeks after installing CM10, this week, it started again. I'd barely have time to login, in which time it checks mail and shows I have VM, before it reboots. Often, it would display: Unfortunately the Process.com.android.phone Has Stopped, and the login screen showed "Safe Mode" in the bottom left.
Using TWRP, I cleared /cache and rebooted. It recreated the Dalvik cache, booted, then looped.
I removed the SIM, same symptoms.
If I backup and reflash CM10, the problem goes away. But, as soon as I restore my data, it comes right back. There's something in the data that's causing this that has existed across a stock flashed rom and multiple flashes of CM10.
I'm running out of ideas of what it could be...
I know there is a lot of information on this, however my problem appears to be a bit more chronic all of a sudden. If anyone has any idea what this is (especially if it is a possible hardware issue), I would really appreciate it.
This started the past weekend and has been driving me crazy ever since. After uninstalling facebook on Saturday, I got the pop up. Rather than messing with trying to fix it, I went and reflashed the rom. While restoring all my apps, the error popped up again. Convinced there as something up on the phone or the sdcard file system, I restored back to stock 4.4.2 with odin. I rooted, went through the same restore process and after one of my reboots, it came back. Finally I searched and did "restore app defaults" in the application manager. That worked for a while, but came back a few times, until finally that method wouldn't fix it anymore.
Last night I reflashed with odin again. This time I didn't root. Everything was fine all day until I decided to uninstall twitter and the acore message is back. Doing an app reset did fix it again, however I am afraid at this point to reboot the phone or do anything else.
I had this problem maybe once about 3 months ago, now I can't get ride of it no matter what I do. I should also point out that I did not do a TiBu restore or anything, I installed all my apps through the play store.
Thanks in advance guys
Have you tried going into application manager and clearing data for contact storage? It's what I do when I get this error message

I did that, however it usually didn't work. I had to reset all application defaults and the issue usually went away. During one of my reflashes, even that didn't work anymore.
Seems like the issues started when either I turned off one of the bloatware apps, or deleted something. Sometimes the acore would start right away, other's after I rebooted the phone.
This last time, I got the phone setup, I got 2 acore's early on (Clearing app defaults worked both times). I didn't do anything else to the phone for a few days. Last night I finally rooted, installed safestrap and my other root apps and so far everything seems stable. I will just do a twrp backup before removing anything in the event things go bad again.
What still bothers me is don't know what caused this all of a sudden. I've been flashing roms for years and never once had this sort of problem. I will all set to consider this a hardware issue, until it finally settled down.
