Just curious, I ve read in nexus thread they will support some of their device. Even my old nexus 7 will be official supported by Google. I also read Google I/o that with the new feature of chromcast we can do mirroring and one of the supported device is our lg. But to do so we have to received new menu called cast out if I m not mistaken. And that menu will only appear in android L. Doesn t it make sense.
Sorry mod if this thread a little out of the topic.
Thanks

Officially, depends if LG does an update for it.
Unofficially I'd expect some features to be ported over or AOSP roms based on the latest version once the source is out.
Thanks, can't wait to see some great dev ported to some ROM with android L taste ?

I've been searching the forums but can't find one. Does it exist?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA Premium App
No. It was always ported as a part of ROM, since it has to include drivers etc - which means kernel support.
If this has been posted before my apologies. After getting my nexus I combed threw the settings and discovered that the keyboard has native emoji support. Now not only can you see emoji but you can send them now. To enable them go into your android keyboard settings then goto add on dictionaries. Enable emoji for English. Next go down to the advanced keyboard settings and enable switch to other input methods. Lastly go back to keyboard inputs and check the input iWnn IME. Once all these steps are down you will have a small globe icon on your native keyboard. Press this to switch to your new emojis! ?

When you say keyboard inputs do you mean input languages? I can't seem to find the last step.
Nevermind, I found it, you have to go into settings->language&input I was doing everything before that from the keyboard.
Very nice of you sir
Thank you

I'm also an my iPad and I can see them just fine, I'm sure Android doesn't support the iOS 6 emojis though. ??????????????????????? how does those look on 4.2? I won't have my Nexus 4 until Monday/Tuesday so I won't be able to test these

I wish I could tell you, I'm also currently playing the waiting game with google .
I too would like to know if iOS 6 emojis work on 4.2 , if someone can tell us that would be great.
They show up just fine on my GNex.. so I would imagine do on the N4 as well.
This is great, thank you! I use to have to copy and past within the messaging app on my galaxy nexus when it had cm10

Any help?

It's been reported that a factory reset gets rid of the Emojii iWnn IME app. I think it's available on the Play Store anyways? I'm not sure. If anybody can pull it from their phones and post it here - that'll be great.
Thanks! ?????

Hi friends.
When i have some free time,i browse browser's header on www.handsetdetection.com .
Today i have found this : Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.3; Nexus 4 Build/JWR23B) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/27.0.1453.60 Mobile Safari/537.36
So in my opinion ,google should release this version before the key lime pie.
I hope they add AVRCP 1.3 support in this version. Google has really been dicking the dog on this one.

If this is true then we won't be seeing Android 5.0/Key lime pie at the Google conference. Not a big deal to me, I am happy with Jellybean . I would prefer Google to fix those issues [sensitivity, battery etc...] with JellyBean rather than unveiling a new android.

I don't really mind. I can wait for KLP, just wanna give Google some time to perfect it.
Just seen this on the wire and thought how awesome it looks.
Rockchip is a chinese chip manufacture that powers devices like the popular MK808 and other handheld devices. Looks like they've been busy as today they announced they have a Split screen solution similar to Samsung that runs on Stock Android, except it can run any app.
Oh man does this look yummy.
How likely is it that we will get this on the Nexus 7?

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, But Samsung implementation seems to only be custom apps that work in window form, but this seems to be a framework implementation?
Meaning this should work well with all Play Store apps as long as they followed the Android development guidelines and have a tablet UI. (fragments, panels etc)
Why is this thread has a PORT prefix in the title?

You are correct about how Samsung multi window works.
I don't know what the guidelines are for this multi window feature.

I wrote an article on this yesterday.
I can't wait to see how it properly functions on some of the well known devices.
@StrangerWeather its very likely the N7 will get it as its probably the most popular 7" tab on the market.

Because it would require a port from Rock chip devices to our N7.
This seems really cool because the Samsung required specific apps where here, he used anything, such as the stock settings app. So it should work with any app.
Plus I like how they all control and flip back and forth. Really nice.

Saw this on Android police and the implementation of gestures, Window resizing, management etc was nice and it's better than Samsung's Multi Window feature.
Wish this gets ported to custom ROMS soon.

Hopefully in the final release it uses the phablet layouts when in split screen. Ideally it would recalculate screen metrics based on the window size.

The rumor has it that Paranoid Android team is developing something like this. In fact CM team had tried to publish their version of multi window(project Cornersrone) but Google wouldn't let them. Multi window is totally possible to make for N7 and whatever modern android device. In near future!

Quite frankly, in the era of 1080p displays, there should be multi-window baked in to the OS. It's a feature that I think would really propel Android forward.

Just wondering if there is anyone else interested in seeing this ported to Nexus 6.
Maybe we can catch the attention of the Devs?

I too am interested in a MIUI port for our N6
Thats good news! Maybe we will see a port in the near future!! I'm excited!
I m more than ready for it....
The problem is i think that the PatchROm that was released for the MIUI 6 was based on Kitkat! Unless lollipop version is released guess we are left waiting!
Can we have miui on lollipop?
I dont know if we can have it on lollipop, i mean its two different systems but if we can miui that would be awesome, miss this rom so much.
