6] Wipe Data/Factory Reset
7] Wipe cache
8] Wipe Dalvilk cache
9] Format /system (in mount section)
10] Select "Install .zip from SD card" and select the file
11] Select "YES"
12] It will automatically REBOOT (It will take 2-3 minutes to boot so don't worry)

Updated
after i downloaded file , i extracted it and i replaced boot.img for A177.
then i compressed it ( file size was 348 mb) .
then i pasted it my sd card.
When i got into cwm but i cant find rar file in it.
Wt mistake i have done ?????

After replacing boot.img, compress with winrar, select zip as compression method and dictionary size 32.

I have flashed cwm recovery from uncle tools as shown in other thread but I as unable to access
8] Wipe Dalvilk cache
9] Format /system (in mount section)
these points in recovery mode
or I have done it wrong shall I unroot and do the process from beginning

Ok do one thing, extract Rom using es file exlorer, then make zip using root explorer, no need to select 32k in root explorer, also install busybox, then flash Rom.

Hi I have rooted my a177 by farma root and downloaded the rom provided in the page and replaced boot IMG in it ....
Now for the cwm recovery .I have downloaded cwm recovery for a177 on another xda thread and flashed it by uncle tools an rebooted
Now I have already saved ROM in mobile internal sd before doing this .
Now I rebooted into recovery and these are the options
Install update from ADB
Install update from SD card
Install update from cache
Back up
Restore
Now I have selected install update from SD and selected ROM .
It says
Install/SD
Installation failed
Is the procedure wrong tell me plzzz I am trying for days

1.Flash ANY stock ROM through odin .
2.Rootur phone after flasing stock rom
3.Turn the phone completely off, When the phone is off press and hold VOLUME UP+CENTER KEY+POWERfor 5-10 secs

6.Mount system
7.Go to “Install zip from SD"
8.From there “Choose zip from SDcard”

11.Now you are in aroma installer where touch is enabled. After accepting the agreement u will get some flashing options.
12. Flash Remix rom or Kernel first. Its ur wish . if u on stock kernel jst flash remix kernel if not then first stock kernel inside remix kernel.
13. after flashing rom or kernel U can reboot ur device bt if u r lazy then don’t tick on rebbot after insallation.
14. use back botton nw go to advance option and select rebbot recovery.
15. now mount ur system again go to to remix plus+ zip again. Nw choose rom or kernel(means if u select rom first time then install kernel or if u select kernel first time then install rom) and select reboot after istallalation.
or
1.Remove and insert battery
2.Boot to recovery (volume up+power+home)
3.Clear data and cache in stock recovery
4.Flash cwm
5.In cwm go to mounts and storage
6.There format system and cache and data (do not format SD)
7.Go back and clear data and cache in cwm (just in case)
8.Go to mounts and storage and mount SD, system, cache and data
9.Now go back and choose install zip from SD
10.Choose Remix plus+.zip
11.Now you are in aroma installer where touch is enabled. After accepting the agreement u will get some flashing options.

16.After installation finishes reboot

1. Install stock rom via odin
2. Mount system and data
3. Wipe data/reset in cwn

5. Go to advance and then select "wipe dalvik-cache".
6. Mount system and data again.
7. Select install zip from sdcard "remix_plus_v2.5.zip"
8. And then now you are in aroma. Select next and next.

T TAKE SOME TIME AFTER FLASHING ROM. DNT BE PANIC JST W8. ITS GET BOOTED SUCESSFULLY.
1.After flashing the rom wait till full media scanning
2. Don’t use fx widget and viper at same time it will cause some problem in calling etc. so use only one at a time.
3.Quick pick is fast and has all d options but if u want to change lock screen wallpaper use stock gallery.
4.Ifur facing error while set widget on home screen . go to preferences -> Home screen -> increase desktop row or columns.
5.Before using any other tweaks plz remove all tweaks present in int.d folder.
6. Don’t use many tweaks at a time.
7.Use seeder for reducing lags
8.AFTER CLEARING RAM PRESS HOME BUTTON
9.GO TO HOME-PREFENCES-APPERANCE AND CLICK ON STATIC WALLPAPER FOR BEST WALLPAPER EFFECT.
10.WHILE USING VIPERFX USE MAX MORE THAN 600 AND MIN MORE THAN 312 FOR GOOD EXPERIENCE.

hey i have installed this rom and i have some promlems, 1st i cant turn on my wifi ,it stucked on turning on message.
2nd sometimes touchscreen doesnt work and i have to restart few times . 3rd why my kernel is still stock? i install the kernel and it says stock kernel installed??(in aroma installer)
pls help me how to fix this...

no its not stock kernel. its cyanus 1.8 i dont know why its showing stock kernel installed. n its not a rom problem. its kernel problem. try on another kernel but first format ur system to rfs then reflash rom then install another kernel like cyanus 1.6

I Recommend to have a nandroid backup and
use fresh stock firmware before flashing
Install A-DROID ROM:
Download A_DROID_ROM_FOR_GT_S6102_By_Wawan999_XDA.zip
Download ClockWorkMod (CWM)
Download iDuos Kernel 1.3.1
Put them in the Root of your SD Card not a Folder just ROOT
Switch off your phone
Go to Recovery mode by pressing Home+Volume up+Power Button
Use the volume keys to scroll Up and Down
Wipe DATA
Wipe CACHE
Choose Apply Update from SD card
Choose CWM-6102.zip
Wipe DATA and CACHE again via CWM
Go to Advance
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Wipe Battery Stat
Go to Mount and Storage
Format Cache
Format Data
Format System
Mount System/Data and Cache
Press Back Button
Choose Install zip From SDCARD

Flash it via CWM (After Installing the ROM).
After Rebooting, Open up "MTK Engineering Mode" .
Now, choose "MTK Settings".
Swipe right to "Hardware Testing".
Select "Audio".
Choose "Normal Mode" , "Headset Mode" and "Loudspeaker Mode" one by one.
And change the "Value is 0~255" & "Max Vol. 0~160" both to 160 in each mode.
The final settings should look like this :

Now you can close the MTK Engineering Mode and expirience the increased Volume!

It's really a controversial stage about the a177 and a77 right now, but as i can see the a177 holds the same mtk6572 chipset and belongs to the same manufacturer, so things are supposed to go right , the only thing could be the boot.img file, try flashing this ROM via CWM and if things go wrong just get me a reply on this thread, and i will try to resolve your issue!

LeWa boot.img is modded as we need to change the bootclasspath, so we can do 2 things in this scenario, u can either flash the rom with the a77 boot.img or u can send me ur stock boot.img (upload here on xda or pm me) so that i can mod the bootclasspath of ur boot.img to make it lewa compatible . Sorry brother i don't really have a link for the a177 firmware but u can google it though :angel:

The library files (files under /system/lib folder) with "cam" in there name are to be copied to your device , because a177 uses the same chipset this easy patch should work like a charm :good:

Sure take this, Note that it isn't a flashable zip, just extract the contents to /system/lib and see if things work for you. :good:

I'm stuck on bootloop why? I follow the instructions exactly but I'm stuck. should I not install kernel?
Go to cwm
Wipe data/reset
Wipe cache
Go to mounts and storage format system go back go to advanced wipe dalvik cache and battery stats again go to mounts and storage mount data/system/cache if already mounted unmount and remount them
Flash the kernel that given with the rom in this thread again head for mounts and storage remount data/system/cache as i said earlier
Flash rom file
After completed flashing again remount data/system/cache
Reboot
It will work

followed the instructions exactly, using CWM 6.0.5.3, still stuck on bootlogo. help?

Wipe cache
Format System
Wipe Dalvik (No battery stats)
Unmount then Remount Data/system/cache
Flashed Kernel
Unmount/remount again
Flashed Rom
Unmount/Remount.
I am using the Repacked firmware Open Australia from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840645
yet I'm still stuck in Boot logo.
Change the firmware to XXLA1

is using wrong CWM
you have to use the vercion 5.0.2.8
