I don't know if this is a stupid thread, but I wanted to make a list with apps that are only compatible with Android L and has the new Material Design look. This can include system apps and apps by developers.
Dialer
Calculator
Fast Pro
Talon
(Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets were updated to Android L, but they don't have the full Material Design experience.)
If someone has made a thread like this, I'll willingly delete this. I'll add more apps when I find them + when somebody comments.
~HiroXD.
Google has asked developers not to publish apps for android L:
http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-to-update-apps-for-material-design-just-yet/
Yes, but for example, Talon's material design preview is not on the Play Store but is up for download. My list doesn't need to contain apps that are on the Play Store specifically.

Yeah, and I don't understand why. It's not like the topic is meaningless, it's actually nice to know. Either way, I am making my own damn list in a word doc.

Please let's keep this thread, I am very interested too.
QKSMS has a material design alpha - and it is looking sexy. You need to sign up on google+.
If you use SuperSU with device default theme you get a little taster.
It's not an app you use a lot though.
If you're making a thread like this maybe you should link to the Google+ / app pages relevant so people can get them

thanks for doing this been meaning to get around to it. And yes these are previews directly from the dev as they are working on it. none of these apps will be published to the play store until the time is right.
OP you can add these to your post

Hi guys, I'm looking for feedback about my app. It's called Ztitch (pronounced like 'stitch'), and it's basically a panorama maker/viewer. Anyways, it's located in the photo section so please try it out to know what I mean. It should be pretty intuitive to use.
Alot more info regarding my app can be found at the app's website as well:

Hi,
I am closing your thread for now as paid applications are not allowed on XDA under Rules 7 and 11. The only way to feature a paid app on XDA is by having a free version (lite versions are ok) or at least make it free for XDA members. Please contact me via pm if you will be releasing a free version and I will be glad to re-open your thread. Thank you.
Thread re-opened. Please add the link to the free version as soon as you get a chance. Thank you for understanding.

Done. Sorry about that
If you like my Ztitch app, please also take a second to vote for it here at the Canadian apps competition. Just click on the "Like" facebook button
http://www.greatcanadianapportunity.ca/2011/02/ztitch/
(only if you actually like this app, of course)
Voted done. I bought this app can I say it like this Last year=) it's good I've had a lot of fun with this app I can't wait to use it when I'm out sailing this summer.
Any possible to have this in WIndows Mobile 6.5?
Zitich has updated this app three times in the time I’ve had it. With new features. It takes a few times to get the hang of this app. Like how to pivot just a little when you take a snap side to side or up and down. But the ending result is a really cool looking photo. I put this app right up there with thumba. As a must have photo app. Plus I really like supporting independent developers who really work hard on their apps always adding features to it.
Hi everyone, This is my first ever android theme for nova/apex/adw launchers. Please feel free to post how you feel.

Cool theme. My only thing is 2 bucks might be a little high for it because there's a few icon sets floating around for free that are extremely similar if not the exact same for free. I believe they include a good variety of custom icons and apps as well. This is just my opinion and isn't meant to be negative. Cool stuff tho. Should make more themes!

Yes, I agree with you. My main purpose for making this app was to earn some money because i need some money. What you think how much price should be? how about 1.50$?

Eclipse is so far easiest method to develop apps which i use. It automatically compile and decompile apk and also sign them without mess.

Was just having a look on the Official Android Develops site (http://developer.android.com) and noticed google had added a tool which allows you to upload your screenshots, and the tool automatically overlays them onto the screen of your device.
They only list the Pure Google devices, Nexus 4,7,10 and the older models etc, but it is still really handy. Even has options for shadow and glare.
Maybe I'm just late to the game, but I had never seen this before? Will certainly make posting in homescreen threads a lot easier.
Link is http://developer.android.com/distribute/promote/device-art.html
It's certainly a tool I will be using a lot, so I hope this is of some assistance to others too :good:

Very nice find! This should certainly help with making apps look more professional in Android Market screen shots, plus you could use it in tutorials to point out what buttons to press when doing something, or highlighting what each function of an app does.
A lot of people use this for their screenshots. There is also a version in the play store.

Not to burst anyone's bubble, iirc, Google has had this for months now.
Jelly Bean 4.2.1 (JellyB-TSM) / Apex Pro / BreezeHD theme
this is the best one out there supports many phones and he is constantly updating
and adding more phones

I dont want to be the 1 to ruin all the fun but I read when I was publishing my theme, when you upload screenshots, you cannot have a border, so im assuming this will get your product removed from the Play Store

Google image search didn't help unfortunately.
I wouldn't expect new wallpapers with the 5.1 update.

Pretty sure I saw that wallpaper in the Zedge app.......
D
Def on Zedge, just search 'blur'
Edit: nvm just searched and nothing similar, sorry
So it's not a Lollipop/Nexus exclusive wallpaper? Gotta find the origin of the image in the OP then.

Are you saying that it is included in the 5.1 build for Android One?
Wish I could find that one too. Or the new one they're using on the Google Store!
There is an app in the Play Store called "Wally" that I have been using now for a couple of months and I just came across this thread and decided to go to the app and type on "City Blur" and came across some wallpaper somewhat similar to what you all are looking for here if not better!
Give Wally a try and see if that helps any
Which one is it exactly?

Shoot it?
Why not just go outside during sunset and shoot one like that and blur it yourself? That way it would be to the exact specification you'd like. Maybe I will try this tonight to see how it goes.
Sure, if I had a DSLR.
But thanks, i hope it will work.

Not needed
A DSLR isn't required to make beautiful pics, If I get the opportunity today Ill try and shoot something similar and upload it.
Theme Store just had a bunch of new stuff drop, and it appears Sammy's theming skills are improving. I would still enjoy some more minimal themes, but for a phone without root I'm enjoying this!

Lol. Hopefully they'll do some blacked or darker tones. There's a lot of pinkish hue floating around. Looking fabulous.

I want more simple ones. A user on here made a stock android themed one with material dark and submitted it to Samsung. They haven't responded yet.
I use the purple one because it's the cleanest in my opinion.

Lazy... it's called present the music. There's only like 20-30 themes... would have taken u less time to look yourself
The Music one is the one I am using right now too.
So by minimal they mean minimal effort?
