hello,
i tested this method but i cant get S-off because firewater give me an error " kernel contains HTC anti-firewater patch! Try again with a different kernel"
what can i do :crying:
any help to downgrade my HBOOT 1.57 to 1.56 ?
Are you rooted? Flash a different kernel besides stock. Or you can also flash CM11 and then run Firewater after rooting it and set Superuser to run both from root and adb.

theirs no way we can help you with that little bit of information
when asking for help, you need to list your full phone information by posting the results from
fastboot getvar all minus your serial no and IEMI. What version of custom recovery did you have installed. Is you phone S-off ? How did you decide what RUU to flash ?

That ruu should work for you but you are s-on, so as stated above you will need to relock to flash it.
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then run the ruu while connected with fastboot usb. :good:

Hello,
As the title already states i a m looking for a way to get S-off so i can change the CID to a more general one and to go back to stock.
I tried several things like firewater, Rumrunner but all with no luck.
Maybe i am missing something or its because i am on bootloader 1.55, but i need some guidance, if its even possible with my phone.
The strange thing here is that the "version-main" information is empty...... maybe that can cause a problem?
I tried to change the version-main with the "echo "2.24.111.3 " | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p19 bs=1 seek=160" command and restored the "M7 TWRP Nandroid Backup CID T-MOB101 2.24.111.3" backup i downloaded from htc1guru.com and the phone startsup and seems to work great i even recieved an update.
Her some info:

You can try firewater with various combinations of ROMs and kernels. Some have had success with ARHD and Bulletproof kernel. Should that fail, there is Sunshine S-OFF but it will cost a fee ($25).

What errors did you get with firwater and rumrunner?
Your version main was/is blank because you've used a version of TWRP recovery that has the misc partition bug. It is only a cosmetic bug though and doubt it has any effect on the s-off process.

Rumrunner stops at pour 8 and tels to reboot and try again, i tried several times.
Firewater says firewater can not work on your device....
I am going to upgrade TWRP to solve the version-main bug...

Use ARHD 53.0 or 62.0 and the current Bulletproof kernel. I would try ARHD with the stock kernel first before trying the Bulletproof kernel.
I would keep this site for future reference it has nandroid backups, OTA and recoveries of your version.

It's best to use 2.6.3.3 with ARHD roms. To avoid set_metedata_recursive errors when installing

Well i installed TWRP 2.6.3.3 and ARHD 53.0. Then tried firewater en Rumrunner but no joy.
After that i looked at Bulletproof kernel but it seems s-off is needed to install that kernel.
Version-main is still empty...
So what can i do more?

You need Bulletproof 14.1 to go with ARHD 53 and the kernel does not require s-off

Ok finally S-off by using Sunshine, changed CID to HTC__001
Thanks for all the help.
Now i am on os-5.11.1540.9 HBOOT-1.57m by flashing a RUU zip (WWE) for the correct CID and MID but.....
It downloads an OTA update but says; we have determined that your phone may be running a modified version of its system software.
Is this because i am still S-off?

No ...STAY S-OFF no matter what
Your CID and Software are incorrect, 5.11.1540.9 is Developer Edition
HTC__001 is International .... What RUU did you use, and what did you do between flashing the RUU and getting the Update

Sunshine s-off is the only way and u have to buy pay 25$ for that. You don't need to be s-off to flash custom rom. Just flash kernel via fastboot and rom via recovery . simple.

You dont need to S-Off to install Roms, you will need custom recovery and your bootloader unlocked, plenty of guides on here to take you step by step

Flash a rom, you don't need s-off to flash a rom like said previously. Unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery and then a rom. Then if you need s-off (e.g. to flash a RUU) you can try to achieve it using rumrunner or sunshine.
Thank you Alray but do you know where can i get a ROM for this phone ,all the sites are asking to be S-OFF in order to flash your phone or this is what i found at least

Hello all XDA members,
I am looking for the correct RUU.exe for my HTC One M7. Its on Vodafone UK (VODAP001) and HBOOT 1.61.000 and is S-On. I have already relocked the bootloader and flashed the stock recovery back. I have found and tried many RUU.zip from here and HTC but I have learned that as I am S-on I am unable to go this route. This HTC One m7 was running a custom ROM and TWRP but since I am giving it my Father I needed it back to stock and ready to receive any OTA updates that Vodafone throw out.
Thank you all
Andrew

Yes Lollipop 5.1 is working great and I have had no problems. Hopefully TimDuru will be presenting Marshmallow soon for the TF101

The latest RUU for that version is 7.18.161.21. Since your phone is S-ON you can only flash RUU that are the same version or higher than your actual version (7.18.161.30). There is a way to bypass this. Go to this thread and read at the end of my post (post #2) under "how to downgrade with s-on". Once done and your version-main is showing 7.18.161.2 instead of 7.18.161.30 , flash the 7.18.161.21 RUU using instructions of post #1 (RUU file is at post #2). Don't forget to use the fastboot version provided at post #1, the normal fastboot version won't work to flash a lollipop RUU.

Thank you alray
Will let you know how I get on with your instructions.
Ye TimDuru has done a great job in supporting the TF101. If he never I would have bought another tablet years ago.
Kindest Regards,
Andrew
I worked a treat, thank you alray for your expert help in this matter.
Gratefully yours,
Andrew

Sorry for the delayed answer.
First, going back S-ON wasn't required and it's also a bad move. Having S-OFF can help a lot when troubleshooting your phone. I don't know what cyanogenmod rom version you tried to install (cyanogenmod roms are so old) but are you sure the one you tried was compatible with the M7_WLS variant? This phone variant will only work with custom roms made specifically for this variant and must also be flashed with a custom recovery compatible with WLS . Just saying because this is the most common error made by people having this phone variant.
Now, what ruu version are you trying to install? The one you need is 6.23.651.10 and can be found here:
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...99.2143463114.1556074529-999987239.1556074529
Don't forget that since you went back S-ON you now must have a locked or re-locked bootloader to install a RUU. It won't install if it's unlocked.
If not already done, you can re-lock your bootloader using fastboot from a command window using this single command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
then install the RUU
