[Q] Does those network build.prop tweaks really work?

Hi Ladies & Gents
Just wondering, does the these build.prop tweaks work for the Note?

- In particular the network related ones?
- If they do is there a reason why are they not included in the stock build.prop?

1.yeah build.prop tweaks does work.There are mant tweaks like making H/W UI rendering,making jpg quality 100%,increase the sppet of browsing by increasing the buffer rate etc...Yeah the network one works.And I have implemented some tweaks to my rom too...
2.Stock roms doesnt contain most of the tweaks/mods seen in custom roms...Thats what differentialtes stock and custom roms....

BTW: just a note guys if you edit the build.prop in es explorer make double sure you change the settings of the file back to rw-r--r-- or your going to get a nice black screen on boot!

You may use this way:
1.pull your build.prop from /system to your pc
2.open it in notepad++
3.Edit the file.you may copy paste from the thread in op
4.make a cwm zip
5.flash in recovery
No need to worry about perms...

[Q] Permanent "Slide to unlock" on Lockscreen JB

Hi, I am looking for apk, that can show me every time the text "slide to unlock" on my lockscreen. I have tried this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119832 but after reboot I got something like this: http://cdn.androidtapp.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Lock-screen.png . I have JB on my SXT ver. 489

Edit: This is the one from Xperia V .490 that I have edited the value of removals after 999 locks , if you have unlocked 999 times ), it'll disappeared, what you have to do is just go to settings > apps > all > find the lockscreen and clear its data, yay, it'll have those words again xD
Remember to set permission rw- r-- r-- when replace the original file
If this doesn't work for you, post the file UxpNxtLockScreen.apk , and I may need your framework-res.apk and SemcGenericUxpRes.apk to decompile the lockscreen :3

Can you do the same but for more unlocks? Maybe 9999 or more? This one is working good, thank you for help

you could reset the times by clearing lockscreen data as I mentioned above. I think it may takes about hafl - about 1 month to use 999 unlocks )

I looking this lockscreen for my Xperia Sola for a while, works perfectly fine in Sola too. thanks dev.
999 is more than enough, and its better to reboot android devices atleast in a week.

[Q] noob questions

i have a few questions which after a lot of browsing also i cannot understand..
1) you know, all that stuff like v6 supercharger adrenaline,activo speeder and so on, what is the difference b/w all of these? which ones should i flash? and suppose it is already there in my rom how do i know about it? many people give different answers but im using blackdroid rom so along with that if anyone knows anything?
2) I recently found a rom whose font i really liked. if i wish to add that font in my current rom how do i do that? please keep it simple because i couldnt understand anything in other threads.
(PS to use font changer root do i need to extract the font from the rom?if so how?)

v6 is available for just a few ROMs and setting it up isn't easy for novice users. If you have adrenaline engine, you can't flash anything else, because it gives bootloop. Activo is friendly to other scripts, so it's a choice for anybody who has no idea what should give bootloop.
For the font: wait for someone else, because I never change fonts

to change fonts all I do is use root explorer then goto system/fonts then replace DroidSans.ttf (this is the main font used by android) with the font you want to use and make sure you rename it to DroidSans.ttf and set permissions. you can also change all the fonts this way but just make sure you rename them and set permissions.. . do a nandroid backup just incase then reboot.

In v1 of BL Rom I didn't add any scripts like this, but in v2 (you can find changelog on my thread) I added some useful

[REQ] Stock Z - phonebook, conversation

Hi all,
I recently changed the phonebook and conversation to the black theme from one of the posters here. I kind of want the stock look again. Unfortunately I didn't back up the stock APKs. Can someone upload them? I'm looking for stock 4.2.2 phonebook or from RomAur phonebook if it makes a difference.

Give these a try

I'm not familiar with all but I replace them to system/app and change permissions to rw r r. I restarted phone and it crashes contact. Am I doing it right?

Find your original ROM .zip file on your PC (or download it again if you deleted it) extract the zip to anywhere on your PC.
Open the extracted folder, navigate to system/app, and you'll see all of the apks that come with that ROM.
Pull out the desired apks from this folder and copy them to your phone.
Change the permissions to rw- r-- r-- then move them to system/app, overwrite when prompted.

Should i just copy all the apps to my system and set permissions?
