I made a combination of tasker and gmd gesture control that helps to toggle the softkeys and the navigation bar....When the softkeys are hidden you can navigate using gestures...You can select to toggle only the navigation bar or the soft keys using the setting in the power menu and then selecting the expanded desktop option that suits you.
it works well for me and also i can stick with the softkeys that i have and no restart necessary.
But only if you guys do have a custom rom with expanded desktop functionality.
Unfortunately my youtube link wont get posted as i am a new user so just go to youtube and add this in address /watch?v=lPpTaf6y7qQ&feature=youtu.be
Please suggest any changes to make the combination better
Do you have the tasker code to toggle navigation bar ?
I know it uses:
Package: com.android.systemui
Class: com.android.systemui.NavbarTog*gle
But what do I need to use as action ?

I want to create a tasker shortcut to toggle softkeys on the home screen because with the softkeys on QR readers have garbled camera image.
I have class and package for tasker 'send intent' but with only these 2 items it does not work. I need something more to make it work.
Just wanted to know if there is any mod for the notification bar to put quick toggles the way that Sammy phones have it. I hate having to click something to get to the toggles.

There's a good app called Power Toggles. Works pretty well.

What do you mean by "click something to get to the toggles?" Just swipe the notification shade down with two fingers to show the toggles. Tap a toggle to go into its settings or tap and hold to toggle the function.

There's no way to add new toggles to the noti. shade right? I'd kill for a flashlight switch there.

There is. It's called "Power Toggles" You can add many toggles (including flashlight) right below the date in the notification drawer. You don't even have to be rooted for this.

Yes, they are handy being right there. That's a Samsung mod, stock Android is not like that.

Have you Checked out Xposed Framework and Gravitybox?
It allows you to turn your quicksettings into toggles. The main reason why I used gravitybox was the torch & wifi AP toggle plus it was just update so you can rearrange the order.
This option might be better if you want to keep android looking stock. Also Xposed framework brings in all kinds of options you'd expect with custom roms.
I'm hoping we get these kind of toggles on the Moto X. This is my Gnex. I don't know why moto didn't add the option to add more toggles like the SIV and G2.

Sorry to bring back a fairly old post but I have been looking for an Xposed module to do Notification toggles. I thought Gravity Box did it but I cant find it. Am I overlooking it or did it lose that feature along the way?

I've customized them already. I want them as notification toggles not tiles on their own curtain. There is no setting I can find to turn off the rules and make them toggles on the notification curtain.

If you long press they act as toggles (that behavior can be changed as well). I know what you mean though. Maybe you can look at "Power Toggles" in the play store.

I really like Notification Toggles in Play. If rooted you can install as a system app and get true 1-touch state switching.

This. With gravity box..you just long press the tile and it toggles....no need to go into settings like when you just press the tiles quick.
Most...that I've tried anyway...apps that give you toggles on the notification screen, like Samsung, give you an icon in the status bar on the top left. And you can't get rid of it. Personally I can't stand that. Lol

This is how to enable all the "hidden" quick tiles in the notification bar that seemed to have been disabled. Between versions of the S5 variants, several quick tiles seemed to be missing from some and enabled in others. Remember, I am NOT responsible for stupidity or whining if YOU do something wrong, phone explodes, etc.
The modifications need Root, SQLite Editor (or equivalent app functioning) and a brain
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CORRECT PERMISSIONS ON Settings.db OR IT WILL NOT WORK
-----Enabling Quick Tiles-----
1. Open up SQLite Editor
2. Select the Apps tab -> scroll down to Settings Storage and select
3. Click settings.db
4. Click system
5. Click search icon on top right (easiest method to filter) or scroll through db (harder way)
6. Type "notification" in the Filter Value field and press ok
7. Tap "notification_panel_active_app_list" -> select pencil icon on top to edit
8. In Value field, all enabled toggles are listed. Now, add the word "MobileData" (no spaces or quotation marks) to end of list (make sure to have NO SPACES between entries and semicolons separating each entry)
----> ex. Wifi;MobileData;WifiHotspot;Sound; ....
9. Once you add "MobileData", click save button.
10. Close SQLite editor and reboot/profit (see attached screenshot for what it should appear as)
This works for any quick settings tiles that are present, but you MUST type in the correct name (capital letters, no spaces, semicolons all count). One mistake will not show the tile after reboot.
----> instead of "MobileData", you can also "WifiHotspot" (already enabled in miked63017 zip for Hotspot Mod here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727127 ). Download Booster Quick tile is also able to be added but has no function yet (see my post on updates to status towards getting this working here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719582 )
-----Missing Tiles (so far noticed, if you know another please comment)-----
*These are exact as they should appear,no spaces and capital letters (case sensitive)
Wifi;MobileData;SilentMode;Location;WiFiHotspot;NetworkBooster;Bluetooth;AirplaneMode;PowerSaving;UltraPowerSaving;Sync;AutoRotate;TouchSensitivity;AllShareCast;Toolbox;MultiWindow;Nfc;SmartStay;SmartPause;DormantMode;CarMode;PersonalMode;SBeam;AirView;AirGesture;DrivingMode;SmartStay;SmartScroll;SmartPause;ToddlerMode;EBook;SmartNetwork;WifiCalling
They can be put in any order and then, upon reboot, be arrange according.
Big thanks to eyecon82 for pathway and miked63017 for Hotspot Mod additions.
wyoud you please be able to post what tiles are missing or what all of them are so users can compare if they need to do this or not .

Right now, I'm investigating an apk with the hidden 'false' value for Booster to see, if by enabling, that it'll work. May not need anything other than push ability and some apps to edit at least. Still WIP, hopefully more results soon.
ronger here with the G900W
step 7. Tap "notification_panel_active_app_list" -> select pencil icon on top to edit
when I open to edit I have nothing in value
but if I open the file "notification_panel_active_app_list_for_reset" i have all the values in there, also running a rom , not sure if it matters but its in my signature.
im trying to add Touch Sensitivity which i don't have in the shortcuts notification panel
edit
i was on the reset app list and not the active one
however after adding ;TouchSensitivity; and the end of the values , it still doesn't appear

And Bonus points if you can assign your own icon for it?

Thank you for your reply. I did, and I think the settings.db file is there. But when I try to edit it, the program force closes. Using SQLite Manager. Not sure if it's a problem on my end or with the application.

Sure! You appear to be using either "Notification Toggles" or "Power Toggles". Both have an option in settings to use a transparent icon, but if you do that, it shifts the other icons over so you have blank areas in your notification bar. I didn't like that myself, and instead opted to change it to a battery % icon instead (this is also available in settings).
You -might- be able to use one of the Xposed modules to hide it completely, but I haven't tried.
Dang you are awesome. That did the trick. Thank you!
Sent from my XT1058 using XDA Free mobile app
Power Toggles has an option to hide the icon but keep the toggles. However, this will cause the toggles to be 'low priority' and will usually be moved to the bottom when you get other notifications.

The name is different, it still adds the mobile data toggle though.
It'll be under the edit tab, just hold and drag to the ones that you can see.
I dont think this works on android 7 ... anyone can confirm?
