i did search arround, but haven't found nothing similar with my problem..
i able to recover a phone if i cannot enter in fastboot or recovery. in bootloader it works but it freezing in the moment i push power button to choose fastboot or recovery. also it doesn't boot normal-> it's starting, showing the "htc powered by android" screen then goes off.
mention: in the bootloader is no "Active CMDline overflow" message.
only thing i'm interested if it's possible recover from this.

if you're S-Off and it doesn't work then you need to downgrade hboot first. if you are S-On and it doesn't work, then
stuck at 1st step.. "fastboot devices", nothing listed.
i have drivers instaled, also the Universal Adb Driver. what am i missing? if i try the to flash anyway the recovery it says <wait for device>

i can select fastboot, but when i press power button, the bootloader freeze. it does not enter in FASTBOOT USB.neighter in recovery or any of the options of the bootloader. it's freezing with the option highlited after i press power button. after the freeze, only thing i can do is to keep power button+volume down, to restart to bootloader, where again, if i choose any of the options, it freeze again. also doesn't boot in normal mode, it's just showing the "HTC powered by android" then goes off.

what hboot are you on? 1.44?
unplug the cable,
force reboot,
select FASTBOOT,
when it shows FASTBOOT (in red),
plug the cable to your computer, and it should change to FASTBOOT USB
.
1.57,
it remains highlithed in blue. it freezes highlighted in blue.
there you got it. i recorded what happens, if you have patience 2-3 mins.
ignore the cracked screen, i disassambled the phone to disconnect the battery, in hope of something would work after.. and did not matter for me if that i damaged it, i have new full housing with touchscreen for it.

Hello dear guru's =)

Im on linux Ubuntu 13.04.
In phone dont have any backup.

When i chose from CWM recovery menu "Reboot recovery", phone boot into download mode, and thats all. Fastboot or adb dont see it.
But. In usb device list:
In download mode:
Bus 002 Device 061: ID 0bb4:0ff9 HTC (High Tech Computer Corp.) Desire / Desire HD / Hero / Thunderbolt (Charge Mode)
In recovery mode:
Bus 002 Device 063: ID 0bb4:0f91 HTC (High Tech Computer Corp.)
Assuming you didn't corrupt your boot loader you should be able to get at the boot loader and use fastboot to flash a new recovery.
Power the device off
Hold power and volume down, the phone should turn on and load into the boot loader.
From there you can select fastboot (navigate menu with volumn buttons, power button to select fastboot).
You can use this command to flash a recovery:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
If you can enter bootloader, you may try formatting partitions from fastboot, and flashing them afterwards, that is if bootloader is unlocked.
You can also lock your bootloader and try installing RUU,it will put your phone back to stock,
P.S. - I'm new to this,so please consult with more experienced members, before doing anything

you "fastboot flash boot recovery.img"? you may want to check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2478438&page=3
if that doesn't help, post back
Guys, we have to check if he can boot in bootloader/fastboot.
So, @ZloY909, if you're in recovery, adb can recognize your phone?
And, in CWM, there is the option: reboot bootloader?
As download mode you mean bootloader?

"screen with a phone icon and a green image like i can connect via usb or something, but then it turns red after about 30 seconds" -> that's stock recovery
Before, when you are in bootloader (image attached), are you able to "fastboot devices" and it shows up? because the bootloader is not affected by the recovery.
basically "fastboot flash boot recovery.img" put the custom recovery where the kernel is supposed to be.
First thing you need to get/confirm working is bootloader/fastboot.

In cwm adb will work.
So i think you have some issue with drivers.
And, however, if you turn off the phone, you can't access in bootloader with a longpress of power and vol-?
Hey, so I'm the one who had this same situation. What I had to do from what I recall is go to CWM screen, cleared the cache, even in advanced the davlik cache, then I believe (and you might have to try different combinations of this, because I don't 100% remember as I had before tried so many different ways) I unmounted the system mount, then went to reboot from the first screen to get to the bootloader (hold power button and volume down). After this, I clicked on Fastboot and it then went to Fastboot USB. This is where you should be able to connect. Don't leave this screen until you flash the recovery in the right place and then properly install the ROM. Let me know if you get to at least connecting and I can even send over an image for your boot, so you can at least get your phone back.
It can be done, I had the same situation so your phone is not bricked. Just keep working at it.

My HTC One keeps rebooting. It goes to the sprint screen and reboots. I can go into recovery and my phone is rooted. I tried to flash 3 different roms on it, but the same thing happens. I also tried to go into fastboot, but when I go to cmd and type in 'adb devices' or 'fastboot devices', it doesn't list any. Can someone please help? I have researched and tried different ways to fix it for the past 5 hours. I did reinstall the drivers, but that doesn''t make a difference. The device is not showing up in device manager.
I also tried : From bootloader ( fastbootusb ) to get there hold power + vol down
open a cmd window from that folder and type
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img
it says waiting for devices
Thanks

well if you can get into recovery, use the sideload feature, you may need to redo your usb drivers also.

EDIT: I got to fastboot mode finally, just by trying different USB cable... (am I dumb? yes. really.) I'm sorry for wasting everyone's time that tried to help me!
I tried to install xposed via TWRP, and after that I got stuck in a bootloop, then I tried to install something in panic in twrp in order to fix my phone, and then when I was about to boot, it said "No OS installed are you sure you want to reboot?" I tapped Yes. Now I can't access my recovery mode anymore.
I haven't installed fastboot on my phone or whatever (dont know does it have to be installed to get access to it) but when I try the button combination I'm not accessing the fastboot mode.
I'm stuck in a screen where it says 'Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" and in the bottom is says "Your device is booting now..." and does nothing.
Please I really need help, I paid for my phone 300 euros and have had it only like month... also i'm addicted to pokemon go and my p9-lite is the only device I could play it with, and my family isn't the richest one and I can't buy a new one in like a year

To access fastboot mode. Make sure the phone is off. Press and hold vol down and insert USB cable. That should bring you to fastboot mode.

what about 3 button combination???
Hold vol- ;vol+ and power button, when huawei logo appers realise power button.
Sugestion. Dont mess with TWRP and zips if u dont know what are u installing.
P.S. DC phoenix can fix your phone, but it cost 15 EUR and u should be able to acced fastboot.
Sent from my EVA-L19 using XDA-Developers mobile app
the 3 button combination doesn't work either.. also DC phoenix won't put me in fastboot right? as I've searched online about it.
And I won't mess with twrp ever again when I get my phone back.

Hi, I have a problem with my p9 too. I can't access fastboot or recovery mode. The phone stays on black screen, no led. When i pluged it on usb, he is detected but as "USB SER". How can i do to reflash ?
My P9 have problem who help me......plssss
Hello,
i think I've broken my phone, I hope you can help me.
I followed this tutorial that you can download here : (I can't post the link because I'm a new user)
I've tried to unlock the boot loader with success, then the installer tried to install a recovery (as the text in the command window said) and the progress stopped, I have waited a couple of minutes but nothing happend and I disconected the phone from my computer (I know that was a bad idea).
Know my phone won't start, not even in the recovery mode. I can hold the Vol +, Vol - button and the power button but only the huawei logo appears, then turns the screen black and nothing more happens. I have also disconnected the battery for some minutes but this didn't change anything.
The only positiv thing is, that Fastboot still recognizes the phone when it's connected to my PC, but I still can't enter the fastboot mode.
I hope you can help me and save my phone,
thankfull Robin

First of all thank you for your reply. But I can't put my phone with my computer and minimal ADB in fastboot mode. The device is found with the command "adb devices" but it has only recovery status. When I type in "adb reboot bootloader" then Huawei logo flashes up and then it goes back to blackscreen.
I fixed it
I fixed the phone by myself. I'm not an expert at all and this is for the people with the same problem.
I think the problem was, that the phone won't leave the recovery mode, because it was listed with "apd devices" as "recovery" for the whole time.
So I tried to install a stock ROM via SD Card with a tool named au_temp.cfg and the phone actually did more then just turning back off when i pressed the Vol+, Vol- and Power key. So the phone actually entered the bootloader but I got the wrong stock image, but this didn't mattered because after one try the phone got back to normal mode and booted quite fine. So I think the main problem was, that my phone was stuck in a recovery mode and needed help to exit it.
Good Morning,
I have an HTC One M7 here that no longer works. I found out that I can boot into the HBoot, but I can't really choose anything.
I mean, if I select e.g. Bootloader / Fastboot, then the phone goes into the menu of the bootloader, but after that I can neither select something in the menu nor access the device via Fastboot. (Using Arch Linux with Android Tools)
I also tried going into recovery mode. When I select "Recovery" in HBoot, the phone reboots, gets stuck on the boot logo, and turns off.
I would appreciate any help from you ^^
Cheers,
TheGoliath

The same goes for Windows. The phone basically freezes when you select something in HBoot. For example, I'm trying to start from HBoot. When I select Fastboot it brings up the submenu (ok). But I can't move within the entries and it doesn't change from Fastboot to Fastboot USB either when I connect it to a Windows / Linux device with the correct drivers installed. When I try to go into recovery, it vibrates, the HTC logo with the white background appears, and then it turns off.

Getting into recovery worked like a few hours ago, but not anymore.
From there I was able to get into the bootloader (still buggy, but I was able to print Vars via Fastboot, for example)
But when trying to RUU (fastboot oem rebootRUU) the phone got stuck with "Verifying: 3". After turning off and restarting the phone, I was greeted by the HTC logo on the black background. Normally I could flash the RUU through Fastboot, but the phone was not recognized by Windows or Linux. Therefore, unfortunately, no success so far.
