Help Locating Lock Screen Wallpaper Image - AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have switched phones and my old Note 3 has a custom lock screen wallpaper I downloaded forever ago. I want the image file but I can't find it in my pictures. I assume that means when you select an image to use the the lockscreen image it must be moved and renamed. Anyone have any ideas where I might find it?

[Q] Stock lock screen on Shep's Themed Rom

How can i get the stock android slider lockscreen on this rom? every time i try to replace the .jar file in the framework there is a black bar going across the screen where the old lockscreen was. Someone help?
That's because you're doing it wrong. You don't change any files in the framework for that mod. You replace the android.policy.odex file.

I think he means the framework folder (/system/framework) which is correct.
I thought his ROM already had the android stock lock though... do you want the touchwiz/glass lock screen? Or Taplock (with the slide left/right options)?
I dont want the glass lock screen. I hate it. I want the 2 slider one

Of the three variations of Shep's ROM, there are 2 with the stock lockscreen, one without. I guess he has the one without.
He actually was replacing the correct file. Sorry aknitter1.
Since Shep's ROMs are fully deodexed, you will want this file.

Remember to backup, replace, then reboot after you are done. And be sure to thank Nixxed for that, it came from his thread. +1 for Nixx
yea. thats what i used... but for some reason the black bar with the arrows on it is still there.. ?? ill try to post a screen shot.
this is my problem...
Problem Solved. Figured it out.
Why not elighten people as to what you did to fix the issue. Could very well help someone out in the future.
To get the stock lock screen go to this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=808763
...and download the stock lockscreen (JPM_Froyo_Lockscreen.zip) and install it to your phones internal SD card. Reboot into clockwork recovery and flash it. reboot and its done!

Get a root enabled file manager such as ES File Manager
Go into system/priv-app
Rename HTClockscreen.apk to HTClockscreen.apk.bac
Rename HTClockscreen.odex to HTClockscreen.odex.bac
Reboot system
There you go aosp lock screen

Forgot a step

Look at step 2 it will show you what to after the renaming. I did this too maybe that's why it worked for me?

Im sure thats all it is as I got in the other day. Kinda pissed but,,,,Ill for sure report back this evening when I give it a go. Very hopeful. Thanks
What are we gunna do with the women.... haha
Well thought I had it. Got all the way thru till the end after changing file names, running file and all but after all is said and done, nothing changes. Yes, I do have Lockscreen widgets ticked under settings-security. Bummer for sure. Thanks much for the help and guidance buddy.
Did you reboot right after changing file names?

I did, but that was a couple of days ago. Also, I noticed I actually have 3 files
1)HtcLockScreen.apk.bac (the ? kind)
2)HtcLockScreen.odex.bac (the ? kind)
3HtcLockScreen.apk_bac (the ? kind)
the first one (apk) I changed to.bac
second on I changed odex.bac
the last one (#3) was there like that and I left it as is
Not sure why and not sure if I should get rid of one and if so which one. Hmm
Maybe I will switch back, and try again from the beginning. Bummer

Did you ever back it up with titanium maybe?
When you rebooted 3 days ago did you have the AOSP lockscreen but with no widget support? You should have.
try deleting the _bac one
and running the setupwizrd again?

NO, no change the other day.
Im going to try what you suggest. After remnaming files, reboot then connect to computer, run commands laid out in the article and Bam I hope.
Now earlier, the setup wizard started but I got a "google servers failed, blah blah notice" I tried several times again after and never could get the setup wizard to start again. I know Im close, I can feel it.
So after the wizard runs, then what......reboot or should the lockscreen just change. and how do I go about adding the widgets to the lockscreen or are they just on by default?
Appreciate you sticking with me buddy, either way it turns out.:good::good::good:

It's your lucky day. I've attached the original files that you asked for, but I've also got the same boot animation, minus the garish white AT&T screen. If you're like me and hate that bright as heck AT&T boot screen, I'd recommend the latter. Your call of course. Don't forget to set permissions to rw-r--r-- (0644) for each file

Shutdown Animation

Does anyone have the stock shutdown animation in a flashable zip? I want to get rid of the carrier shutdown animation on my Note5. It's driving me insane. I was able to flash the stock Marshmallow boot animation and that works so I imagine the shutdown animation from any Note5 variant works well on my SM-9208. Thanks!
Check this themes and apps thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/themes-apps/mod-enable-zip-bootanimation-aroma-boot-t3205323
He has multiple boot and shutdown animations all preloaded. Not sure if it has the stock one you're looking for but it has a bunch to choose from. Check it out.

Thank you. I saw that after I started the post but wasn't certain whether the Sammy animation in his preview was the official one that comes with the non-carrier versions. Do you know if it is?
Update: I tried it. Doesn't work. Oh well. I guess I'll have to root around a bit more.

What didn't work? I had it up and running on my phone. I deleted the file after I chose my animations (Marshmallow boot, CRT Shutdown), so I can't go and check if they had the Samsung shutdown animation.
It should work though, so long as you're rooted.

I'm rooted. I still have my carrier boot animation on shutdown. It might be a quirk of my carrier's ROM. I understand it doesn't work on some other carrier-branded ROMs too.

why would you need a flashable zip if you are rooted? Just delete shutdown.qmg or whatever that file is called, and replace it with the shutdown animation you want.
Maybe your carrier has a different name for the animation file, but the process should still be the same - just rename the shutdown animation file to match whatever the original one was called.

I have 6 files -- bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, bootsamsungmini.qmg, bootsamsungmini2.qmg, bootsamsungmini2loop.qmg and bootsamsungminiloop.qmg.
I also have crypt_bootsamsung.qmg and crypt_bootsamsungloop.qmg.
I'm not certain which of those is the one I should be renaming. That's why I wanted the zip. I wanted to take it apart to see which one it is so I don't accidentally do something to my device that I'll regret.
Also, I don't actually have the animation from the non-carrier SM-9208 so I don't have anything to replace the QMG file with.
EDIT: I found it!! It wasn't any of those. My carrier hid it in another folder. Just renamed it and now it's gone. Thank goodness. Their stuff was garbage.

I am having a hard time changing start up and shut down. Would one of you be willing to walk me through it?
Update: successfully installed both. Sorry for the 20 questions. Where do i put the sound files for the boot and shut down animations? Thank you in advance, and thank you for your hard work developing this.

Question Did anyone manage to change splash logo of this?,

I'm just wondering if I can change the splash screen to something custom. Any links, helps would be really appreciated.

Of course there are tons of boot animations available.
Here Im putting the mtz file containing Custom MIUI boot screen.
I am NOT talking about boot animation. I am talking about the MI logo at the beginning, with the "powered by" screen
there is a partition called imagefv which can be extracted from the phone or either from a ROM, in it there's all the images from the bootloader(charging animation, locked bl start, unlocked bl start), however the partition appears to be signed with a certificate, so someone who doesn't use their phone as main would need to try it
Well, definitely not me but thanks for that discovery.
