Install NUT's dual recovery. download from Sony cross dev section. http://nut.xperia-files.com/

If you have a rooted XZ
Then you will need to install the custom recovery
Download the files from that thread & put it in your phone's internal storage & follow the instructions to flash it

How did you install 4.4.4?
I told you to flash the pre-rooted rom isn't it?
If you flash that rom then your phone was rooted.
