If I were to update to the latest firmware through bootloader, does that also update my radios? Or do I have to update the radios separately?

I don't believe there are any stand alone radios.
It's always a good idea to do the firmware as a whole...as all the bits are put together to work together.

The version number would 2.30.707.x would indicate a carrier/region based update and not a general/unbranded update.

Usually before a major update is smaller which is in preparation for the larger.
why don't they just include the small update into the big one

This is more likely related to the security hole found in htc phones recently...

Each carrier will have different versions to account for different bloat and some system options (tethering,...) But at large they should be the same

There are half a dozen or so of the typical Rogers apps (MyAccount, Ringback, etc.) but they are all uninstallable. That was the first thing I did was to uninstall those apps.

Ya, I was pleasantly surprised that all Rogers apps were uninstallable. Looks like Rogers is listening to their customers and letting us choose which of their apps we want.
I am wondering if anyone has or can make a nandroid backup of the stock Rogers ROM and post it? I missed making a backup
Thank you

Hi there!
1. If you have 3G connection issues try having a look if you can find a 'radio' that may improve your connectivity. Although it shouldn't matter too much.
2. By 'fit' do you mean work with your device? It should. Try out a different rom if you'd please.
3. It will delete all user data. e.g. Apps, games, locally saved contacts. etc.

I tried like 3 latest radios (2 of 4.4 and one of the latest T-mobile)
all gave me same result on speed tests (really slow one)..
Could it be a ROM problem? could it be that ARHD 5.1 (GE) doesn't work well on original T-Mobile HTC One?
What should I do?
If you are S-off u can flash any firmware package. That includes unsigned ones
If you are S-on you are only limited to specific ones marched to your model Id and Cid.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2182823
This will tell you which.

Best thing when it comes to radios, try the new radio. Compare and contrast how your signal holds up using the newer radio. Ask yourself some questions.
- Is the new radio holding a stronger signal or faster speeds?
- Is the battery life with the new radio draining additional battery than my previous radio?
etc..... then after a couple days, conclude which radio is the best for you. If the newer radio isn't as good, revert back to the old radio.
Radios are independent of Android versions so u can use whatever radio u want. Just use the one that is best for you because one size doesn't fit all. No best radio.

That's because the base that you're currently on is a port from Verizon's 4.4.3 Kitkat update. They had more updates than we had. So for Sprint, we're currently still at 4.4.2. with a lower version #.
We won't move from that point til what is probably going to be the M7's final update for us, Lollipop 5.0.
Thanks!! :good:
