TF701 Problem-free Dock? - Asus Transformer TF701

I'm looking to buy one but I can't find a seller proven to be selling only the newer "fixed" batches of 2013.11 or newer.
Anybody?
Edit : Made a leap of faith and ordered one from B & H Photo. Dock just arrived and it's dated 2014.04. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

Got one from TigerDirect last week, also dated 2014.04.

just got one

Hi
I just purchased one date 4014 and it appears to be fine. It has no more 'wobble' than other tablet dock combos that I looked at, for example the HP Slatebook X2.
There is a cheap fix that you can buy for 19 Euros delivered that removes the problem buy using pre-stuck shims that attach to the hinge.
Regards
GW:good:

How can you tell the date of your keyboard?
Never mind. Found out the version is on the box and since I got a refurb, I didn't have that info.

Looks like you all are in luck, I am selling one brand new and the date on the back is 2014.04

Diamond in the UK

Hi everyone
Any news on the UK release? Any insiders know when O2, T-mobile, orange might be releasing it?
Thanks!
The only thing I know about is that HTC have given a "worst case scenario" date (and everything generally is a worst case scenario with them) of the 23rd of June for the unbranded (HTC branded, to be specific) version. I don't actually know whether or not the delay that has affected the unbranded versions will affect the branded versions (i.e. O2 XDA Diamond, T-Mobile whatever).
First stock was delivered on Friday but I missed that order so my order is being delivered on Thursday. Getting really excited now. Wondered whatg i should do with my aging tytn?

Hope you havent ordered with TotalPDA. They're TotalLYERS
Fortunately not. I am (hopefully) getting mine from insight. Getting worried now though due to so many people getting stuffed by other suppliers.
I pop into an Orange shop yesterday and the fella there said that it popped up on they're intra net as a 'coming soon' last week. And that it usually means its out within 6 weeks, fingers crossed we've only got 5 more weeks!
im waiting for orange too
i just check the site and there is nothing on the comming soon for the diamond
i hope i get mine before i go to hong kong for a holiday (sept)
not to say that ill also be looking at what phones they have to offer there too
ARGH! SOB. Just spoke to my supplier and he told me the uk dist has pushed the delivery date back to July! B*ll*x. Might cancel the order now and just wait for the Touch Pro

July is pretty bad - especially considering the fact that the orignal release was planned for early June. I'm getting quite worried now that I won't get my Diamond for ages...
But I won't consider the Touch Pro unless the Diamond's release date is pushed all the way back to within a week or two of the Toch Pro's release date...
I read on a blog that orange will have it June 22nd.
I personally prefer the O2 design, with the rear panel that won't catch finger prints and the blue touch flo style.
I spoke to 5 O2 stores in and around glasgow, and not one of them agreed with any other about the release of diamond, ive had everything from "never heard of it" to "christmas, cuz we don lese ones ight new" (translated for normal folk, he said they dont release phones at ths time of year and it'll be more like christmas)
in short, no one has the first foggiest when O2 will release
Got mine...
Got mine from expansys. It looks like they are the only site with actual stock. Arrived yesterday and even came with a free DECT/VOIP phone - which I will probably never use!
Its a very nice device, although Opera takes a little getting used to. Was a bit concerned about battery life, but second overnight charge seems to have sorted it out.

Insight is my supplier. Looks like even Expansys have changed it to 25June this a 13 day delivery time. Why do they do this to us?
This is exactly what happened with the Cruise and one of the reasons I decided to bite the bullet and pay the extortionate Expansys prices.
All you guys still waiting have my sympathies, I know what it's like.
On the bright side of things though I can assure you all it's worth waiting for. Once you've tweaked it that is

huge problem? or the problem is that its an import?
Its conclusive now that expansys are selling the grey imports - its not just a theory - i thought everyone knew already!
Anyway you can return (distance selling regulations) and avoid any restocking fee because its not as advertised - they 'suggest' its a UK model.
Guys, how can I tell if it's a HK import? What to look for on packaging and/or device? I heard it finally came to Bulgaria and gonna go check it out someday next week. How to make sure it's the EU model?
register it with HTC club ... look for EU plug charge ... maybe ROM difference - not an WWE but customized for Bulgaria ?
I mean before I buy it...

Ordered HTC Diamond 2

Well just as an opening thread for now... ordered the HTC Diamond 2...should be with me next thursday all being well
Release date is 8/3 from memory so if they ship out on the same day...
Have explained about the returns etc and that I would want to turn it on/mess about to test out before formally excepting it... the company are fine with this as long as its in re-sellable condition along with packaging etc.
Things I will test that my current Diamond (first edition) has really annoyed me:
1. Both ear and loud speaker volume (and I know about the hack that in the end simply distorts the speaker)
2. Touch screen - how much does it compare to the iphone...iphone nipped it in the bud with their screen in how good it is in responsivness...you can literally touchtype on it...the Diamond even with the hack is still not as good and sometimes annoying if its too sensitive.
3. Battery life
4. Quite important, it's compatibility with my Audi bluetooth kit - current one displays missed calls/dialled calls/entire phonebook etc on my Audi screen.
5. Any sort or genuine windows slide to answer/slide to unlock? S2U2 is great but still has a few annoyances which is perfectly acceptable given that its free, someones spent a lot of hard time on it etc
I think thats my top 5 really - my threshold is if 2 of the 5 fail, its going back.
One of the items that must pass is point 4.
Will report back when I get it!
I just ordered mine yesterday too. Can't wait to get it...
And about Battery life and answer/slide unlock you don't need to bother, it's fine and in the Diamond2 it's a better battery!
The only thing that bothers me is.. that there's no D-PAD. I hope we're going to get used to it...
Orderd mine today too. Now the waiting begins...
Curious about life without dpad too....

Where did you ordered yours? Cause I live in Belgium but I am not sure what site to order, I think pdashop.be or something like that. I am born in Holland so I got relatives that live there,so maybe it could be easier to order it and send it to their adres? The release date was the 14the of April right? Can`t wait I already sold my Diamond and are currently using an old Samsung D900
I'm from belgium aswell, been looking into it, i think our cheapest (doesnt say much for how early u get it, but cheap is what counts for me!) option is http://www.belzaak.nl/preorder/HTC/6972/HTC_Touch_Diamond_II_NL/
delivery to belgium is like 13€, making it a whopping 41€ cheaper than pdashop ...

You guys are all lucky bastards , haha just messing with you guys, I am trying to sell my Fuze right now so I can buy a Diamond 2, anyone interested
I am curious to see if Diamond 2's speakers are going to be better than my current Diamond. If it's as good as Touch HD's, then it'll be great. Also, will it come with Net Compact Framework 3.5, cos lots of new apps require that. Will be checking this thread on and off before the set becomes available in Malaysia. Last question - price - cheaper than Touch HD?

The Diamond 2 will most likely come with Net Compact Framework 3.5, as for the price... yes it will be cheaper than the HD, according to Expansys - the Diamond 2 will be $125 usd cheaper.
I just ordered mine as well. My supplier said it was supposed to arrive yesterday, but its stuck with customs. Im anxiously waiting for his call today, if not tomorrow. I wonder if i will be the first in the world to own it (that is IF it isnt an april fool's joke!)

I ordered mine at pdashop.nl, it's expected to arrive on april 10th. I ordered other things from them before and never had any complaint. They also do very well consistently in the tweakers.net shop review. They do indeed have a belgian equivalent: pdashop.be.
For me, service is important. I have owned both an E-ten PDA and an HTC PDA. Both have had problems and have been sent RMA once. If a repair is needed, I want that to happen quickly and without trouble. I would never buy any grey device. But that's just MHO.
At a Webshop here in Switzerland it says "will be available approx. early April".. I guess it's coming on the 10th of April aswell.
Can't wait to replace my HTC TyTN II with a Diamond2...
I ordered mine from here http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/1868/ I can't wait for it to arrive, life without a D-Pad is gonna suck but it still beats the hell outta having an Elf-in !!
india
i frm india any idea which site to get it frm and tell can i get any version or all are the same pls help im a noooooooob
thanks guys
I don't know where to buy in India. However, devices sold in different countries have different ROM's. If you buy a device with a language different from your own you would have to hard splash it and upload a custom ROM from XDA or an official HTC ROM in another language. You'd be screwed if it would break and you would need to have it repaired under warranty. Then it has to have the original ROM it came with on it.

Are early N1s still easy to come by?

Is it still common to find brand new N1s with a manufacture date of 12/2009? A friend got one from a friend who got it from somebody else and I don't know where it came from but I'm looking at buying it for $350. Everything looks brand new but the DOM concerned me.
So if you bought one ~6 months ago from Google might you have gotten one with a 12/2009 DOM? Or what's the deal? I heard the power button might be an issue on earlier N1s but the rest has been fixed with software updates, right?
What do you think... good deal?
From what I remember N1s didn't produce for that long so most were probably made in Q4 2009 and Q1 2010, I wouldn't imagine many would be made long after that. That said I bought my second N1 which had only been used for a few months and was immaculate. I think I got it for around £250/$400 with the official desk dock, 3rd party USB dock, a case and two spare battery covers.
It looks like you're getting a good deal as well, I'd snap at that price.

OnePlus 5 selling poorly?

I just ordered the 6gb 64gb ram version from Oneplus and it came in yesterday. The manufacture date is 6/10 which is before the phone even launched! On past OnePlus devices there would only be around a 2 week turnaround time from manufacturing to arriving at my house. This suggests they aren't really selling many of these phones.
I just got mine this Friday, the Date says 6/22.

Which country? I'm in the US and mine shipped from California. Even 6/22 indicates they are selling poorly and just sitting in a warehouse. I've bought alot of OnePlus devices and the turnaround time from factory to my door has always been 2-3 weeks or less. Over 2 months indicates poor sales.
Because your phone is refurbished device and listed as new. Just saying

I ordered one also on launch day and it was also 6/10. Returned that due to jelly, and bought another one thinking it might be less on a newer device produced in August, but got this one again made before launch lol. OnePlus not even selling through their original stock is a bad look for them. Poor sales also means they will abandon it early like the OnePlus 2 and x.

Doubtful. They have always said logistically it doesn't make sense to do that. They manufacture in smaller batches and then increase production or decrease based on demand.
Probably just not rotating the stock. Just piled new stock on top of old stock and they are just now getting to the stuff underneath the new stock.
Bought mine while I was in China, ordered 8/1, received 8/2. Manufactured on 7/26. 8/128 version slate gray version.
I think I read somewhere the 8/128 exceeded demand.
Interesting maybe just no demand for the 6gb version . Can anyone else chime in with their 8gb order dates? I couldn't justify the cost difference.
I don't see how this phone can have disappointing sales numbers. Every review online including YouTube gushes about how awesome this phone is. This is my 1st phone from OnePlus and I have to agree.
No reason to buy cheaper one...

This is likely the reason, the price difference is negligible for the increase that you get. It's more sense to go 8/128
I believe the 8/128GB variant sold a lot better.
By the way, where can I see the manufacturing date?
Edit: Found it. July 14th and ordered it around the 10th of August.
I believe the reason for this gap is the jelly effect.
Many people returned their phones and OnePlus simply re-sealed the boxes and sold them again to somebody else.

I haven't opened it because I'm giving it away as a Christmas present, but looking at the specs, I'd just put it on eBay and get some of the money back if you already have a chromebook.
Just got an email saying it's been dispatched and I should get it tomorrow! Happy days!
Mine has just arrived; ordered 5th November.
On the box it says... [Box of Total: 467 of 1836]
I received mine last week, gave it to my nephew as a present as I already have the Pixel Slate my main computer.

I was in between the Pixel Slate and the Microsoft Surface...in the end I went for the Pixel Slate because I already have a Microsoft Surface at work. The Pixel Slate form factor is more portable, it's more versatile with Android apps and Linux. The device itself is built very well, battery lasts a long time and the speakers have good quality sound for watching movies.
I got it at launch, so the software was a little temperamental back then but Google has ironed out a lot of the issues and it's now fairly stable, even in the Beta Channel.
Mine sold on eBay for £139 making my 128Mb 4XL final cost a bit over £800. As someone who'd been buying Oneplus phones since the One, £800 is still too much. Nice phone though.
