S5 lagging bad after installing xposed - Xposed General

So I rooted my s5 via towel root, installed a and busy box no problems. This of. I installed xposed framework. Rebooted and there was some serious lag. Rebooted again still as laggy. It's so lagging I was able to type most this sentence before it started showing up on screen. The screen takes 3-5 seconds to turn on, buttons take multiple presses before doing anything. And I know I'm not the only person experiencing lag like this after installing xposed on an s5.

Additionally, S Health stopped working with xposed installed, and was a large drain on my battery. A normal day consists of about 8+ hrs of pandora streaming at work by the end of the day I have around 50% battery. Today only about an hour of pandora, and went home early, hadn't used my phone pretty much the rest of the day until I un installed xposed and i only have 30% left. I'd still be streaming pandora for another hour roughly if I was at work. Currently have it un installed, lags gone and s health works again. I really want xposed to work.

Process mediaserver constantly running?

only recently today i noticed that my phone was extra warm ~40c in my pocket and i noticed my battery % was dropping like crazy. i went and checked running processes in about phone and also in spare parts and noticed mediaserver was running at 60% and constantly increasing and running for 2 hrs. i didnt run any videos, music or apps this after noon, but however i did try to install googles new voice search from the market, but it would fail to install because it said the file was not signed correctly or something (still cant install it). would this be the cause of the wild mediaserver process?

Help, phone overheating

Phone is regular S5 (not Active) rooted stock. The last two days my phone has had a persistent notification saying Searching by GPS. The phone becomes extremely hot and battery is draining faster than 15% an hour.
I have several Xposed modules, but nothing that I have added in the last month and this started 2 days ago. I can stop the issue by turning off location, but that is not a permanent fix. Yesterday for some reason Plume was the biggest offender in the battery stats, so I deleted that app for good measure, but the issue persisted. Finally after shutting down the phone for 5 minutes and turning it back on, the issue disappeared, but is back today. Any ideas?
Check ur cpu make sure it not hanging.

Nothing hanging. Why is Searching using GPS persistent? I have a lock on location on Google Maps, so there is a GPS lock. What processes or apps might use this?

Galaxy Note 5 Battery Drains Fast, While Watching You Tube screen goes black

So Lately my Galaxy Note 5 became pain in the butt. While watching youtube on "Youtube app" the screen turns to black, and then I have to pause or play, to have the screen back into play. Same happens with Netflix app I keep getting an error and it closes the app.
The other issue i am facing is battery drains so Fast. I leave the phone with a complete charge at night, and in the morning like in 6-7 hours , the phone is dead. Even if it is on battery saving mode.
I am with Verizon, and most of the time it is connected to WiFi.
I had this phone for 2 years, never faced issues such this? - Is there anyway to solve it, cause i do not want to change the phone yet. Also I have tried to do hard reset, everything, shutting it down ,etc.. it is not fixing the issue
Any suggestions? - Maybe it is the latest update causing the issue?
You might need to change the battery especially if you've done a hard reset among other things.

Gear S2 battery issue, drain in OS but when docked shows 60%

My Gear S2 operates as normal as it should, however even at idle, the battery drains rapidly. Once the unit is completely dead, I then dock it and it will say 60% charge, which I know is wrong given that the unit will not power on undocked, meaning the battery had been completely depleted. Unit charges normally but I think a bug is preventing it from reaching actual 100% since it believes 0% to be 60%. Is there a way I can fix this without tearing apart the unit or replacing the battery?
same issue
I'm having the exact same issue, did a factory reset today updated all apps still same. I use a basic watch face, turn brightness to 2, everything off except Bluetooth and can get about a day of use . Is anyone else having this issue and has a solution?
Battery dead
So update on this issue, (on the Gear App on the phones most updated version) I went to the basic watch face in gray scale, then turned off all notifications, under gear connection, I unchecked sync wi-fi profiles, and under about gear I unchecked marketing information. I'm not sure which of those if any made the difference but at the end of day one 16 hours of use I was at 70%. So on the second day I tried a colorful watch face with animations, and 16 hours in I was at 63%. So one of those changes I made may have fixed my issue.
I did uninstall and reinstall the app on the phone, as well as reset the watch itself, neither seemed to work until I did the above changes. Hopefully that will help someone, or at least help to find out what is causing the massive battery drain.

With all that I have done with my gear, most I was able to get was about 10 hours. Though today it did to something odd. It died completely like it normally does, (it dies anywhere between 3-10% ish, and when it does die, its completely dead) so I placed it on the dock. Two minutes later I check and it reports 34%, "thats odd" I think to myself so I undock it and power it up thinking I would get no more than 5 minutes battery life on it since it couldnt possibly have that much charge in two minutes. I also expected it to report a low percentage but it didnt. I placed it back on my wrist and it continues to run about 10 minutes later down to 25% and still going! I find it odd. My current leakage issue I think remains and might be why the watch doesnt last as long. I might end up getting a new battery and see. My top battery user: watch faces at ~45%, even if the face hardly came on, and I am using one with a custom background that is mostly pure black.
Drain
That does sound pretty weird. I had a custom watch face installed "Mr Time" and started with a brand new install and I'm slowly adding things back in.
I would suggest a fresh install of the phone app, and the watch, using the classic face black and white. If you can get similar results to what I have then one by one start customizing it. I tried a lot of things to get it to work, over several days and that's what worked for me. I even uninstalled all of the watch faces I want using from the app"i felt that Mr time was still running in the background, even though it probably wasn't.
Good Luck

Battery drain after Android 9 update

My phone got the update to Android 9 a little over a week ago, and since then it has been losing battery like crazy. For example, last night I left it unplugged as a test, and it lost 30-40% of battery within 6 hours (while I was sleeping). Before the update, a fully charged battery was able to last for two days, now it doesn't even manage one. The phone is often noticeably warm.
I restricted all "consuming apps" some days ago, that did not make any difference. I also tried 3rd-party apps to analyze the battery consumption, but did not find any way to figure out what consumes all the battery in the background / while the screen is off.
Using Google I found other people with the same problem, but I did not find a solution. What can I do?
I had a same kind of problem but it started a few days after a manual update flash. I had been experimenting with some root stuff (mostly magisk though so they should go away by uninstalling the modules) but could also not figure out the reason for the drain.
I also tried to reflash only system and vendor partitions, but ended with a bootloop, so I had to flash the whole firmware again. No problems after that.
I would try a factory reset if I were you.
You can also try GSam battery monitor (if you already haven't) to figure out what's happening with your phone while the screen is off and it should be sleeping.
I upgrade the XPZ yesterday to 4.41 Pie. Charge the mobile after upgrade to 100%.
The current situation looks like:
18hour active, 30 Min Display, a few calls... Whatsall, newsletter, Mail..... are running in the Background, LTE, EDGE and WiFi are always on, BT has a connection to my watch...
88% are still in the Accu. (Save mobil datatransfer is aktiv; additional the option is enabled to reduce power consumption for apps in background)
