Hello guys & gals,
This is a very great ROM with great customization. I have been using for almost a day now, it is running flawlessly.

How is the rom going for you? Is there any problems?
I'm pretty interested in it so far and kinda want to get kitkat that is fully functional.

Honestly it is great! I had about a fc but that was on the first day, I haven't got one since then. Has lots of customization.
So there's no issues with GPS and Bluetooth?
Would this be considered a daily driver?

I would consider this as a daily driver. Honestly, I don't use gps nor Bluetooth but you can go ahead and try and see if there is no issues.

As I am the one that built this ROM (all thanks to SOKP for their source) I recommend changing your governor to "Ondemand" and IO scheduler to "Deadline". I have had the best performance/battery life with this combination on many ROMs including this one. Anyways have fun with the ROM. I will be updating it frequently and sharing with the OP to give you my new builds.
Awesome! Hopefully, this will be my daily driver until the bootloader is updated

I am on Razr M, which got the updated bootloader. I wad building for the new bootloader but given all the bugs at the moment I reverted back to the JB bootloader. Much more stable. Had wifi and bluetooth issues, On a phone call if you switch to speaker then back to mic then the other person can't hear you. Just a few bugs to mention. So until these bugs are fixed I will be building for the the JB bootloader.

Hmm, maybe there will be an update released soon enough to squash out the bugs, maybe something to do with the speaker in itself

I personally wouldn't use ART, two reasons...one most apps aren't compatible yet and two, xposed frameworks doesn't work with ART.
They maybe an update soon, but for now JB bootloader is much more stable. So i reverted back and I wlil share my builds. And you're welcome for building it. I love building roms, and I don't mind sharing what I build. Not my work....I just make ROMs I think look cool compatible with my phone. Glad I found SOKP because it is freaking awesome.

Did you get this fixed up. If not I'll get you set. A great many people are using the kernel across a lot of ROMS so likely it'll work.

I had to install a nandroid of the ROM I was using, to get back to the old kernel . yet still not work for me the Aptoide when you used to and is giving me error in the camera application and stops , so I will try to reinstall everything from 0 and see if it works with the kernel stock and try again with this kernel and see if it stops me working again , if you work then it is not kernel problem , but if i happens again I will have to return to report the error or maybe it's something else that I am installed causing this conflict but I doubt it because I install very basic things ...

This kernel will only work with ROMS based on AOSP. If Aptoide is a stock rom, or anything other than AOSP, forget the effort. It will not work.

I'll post a LP version tomorrow. it's working fine. The current is kitkat.
Amazing kernel indeed, only thing missing is RGB color correction, because of purple-ish color on low brightnes settings. Keep on good work!
I'm using Battery by Macropinch to monitor amperage. The latest kernel using the smartmax governor, I'm happy to report, is dipping into the 100mA range quite frequently with wifi and LTE on using the the 1-15-2015 cm12 build. I was getting upset that my cheap Huawei Y536A1 LTE phone was hitting this range on stock and lasting two days on a single charge and my Moto X was staying in the 400-500mA without even touching it, but now I think I think this is a good early indication that we can be seeing good idle and casual use power drain on the moto x. Cheers!
PS: I never post, I didn't mean to post this in the Q&A section. How do I delete it?

Hi guys,
I successfully built CM12 off the official cyanogenmod source. All of dhackers builds in the past have thrown status 1 errors on our phone, so this is the closest thing to official cyanogenmod lollipop we have at the moment.
All credit goes to dhacker29 and the rest of the razrqcom / cyanogen dev team. All I did was set up a build environment and built straight from the source. I used no hacks, tweaks or mods to get this to build.
I'll try to build new builds occasionally, but I'm pretty busy so can't commit to making regular nightlies or anything.
Code:
[B]Instructions:[/B]
Download the latest zip (cm-12-*-UNOFFICIAL-mb886.zip) to your phone.
Boot to recovery.
Remember to make a Nandroid backup!
Format /system. (Some recoveries have this as "Wipe Data/Factory Reset > Clean to Install a New ROM") (You can try doing a "dirty flash" without formatting system but I don't recommend it)
Install the ROM (install zip from...).
Install gapps (install zip from...).
Wipe data/cache
Reboot.
First boot can take some time due to ART in lollipop.

Any known bugs?
Dirty updated from Miiju CM12 and seems to work fine. The ROM is smooth and solid. Reboot time is noticable longer than on Mijuu's build, maybe connected with the new bootscreen. Haven't noticed any bugs yet. Thanks for the great job.
PS. The new CM bootscreen is ugly  - imho of course. However, previous wasn't the masterpiece too .
Does this have the new theme engine? Good job bro you should maintain cm12 and let dhacker know.
Really laggy and random reboots
I made a clean flash of this build. It was smooth for first 30 to 40 seconds after that **** laggy and rebooted twice in 20 minutes.. i also experiences screen tearing. bugs are same as that of other builds though.
Great! I will try it tonight and report back. Thanks!

Theme engine implemented and works!
As far as being device maintainer, I'm definitely open to it but I'm not sure if I'm qualified enough to do it. If there were functional problems and things that break I don't really think I have the knowledge to fix those... All I really did here was follow some build guides and build this. But if you think that's all I need, I'll definitely consider it.

Aingaran I've also experienced some occasional reboots and force closes of google play services. Not so much the lag though. However, the rom seem significantly smoother if you use Launcher3 instead of Google Now launcher from my limited experience so far.

Nice job with the build, Im going to flash this thing tonight and report whats happening with this rom
Thank you for doing this for us.
Edit: Clean flashed rom without gapps: smooth as it should be, seems noticeably faster than LS
Now with Banks gapps: Still as fast with no random reboots yet. Looking great so far. I wonder if the bugs are gapps related for some of you people then.
Antutu benchmark for mb886: 19544, thats as fast as mijuus cm12, great job man.
Bugs: Chromecast cannot mirror, its the same OMX-720p error from log cat, its now a bug with dhackers builds. Mijuus doesnt have that at all, probably a hack . Im maybe wrong it could go away on its own. But its something to do with that which is causing the AvSource to fail with this error: w/err = -38
Overall this rom is as stable as it can be, there isn't any other bug I could find but that one, I did try mirror enabler for the previous one, it didn't affect anything. Speedy fast and simplistic, great job on this first build. Keeping that one as a daily driver until then.
Good job!
Thank you! :good:

Try it with Banks, it makes your rom the way it is. I haven't even ran into a crash, I pushed this device pretty hard and its still not rebooting, came close though.
As for the future builds of this rom, maybe the problem will go away as time goes on, idk but I think I found a way around it.
Wow a cm recovery, but im happy for my philz but sooner or later this recovery will be needed to flash newer roms. Blisspop from droidrazr requires this recovery for some odd reason.
Plus its late for me anyway.
Great job on this rom and the recovery Thank you.:good:

Well I like it I've had no trouble with it. I did a clean flash. I read on on there site that when 12.1 comes out they would like us to do a dirty flash I'm guessing to see if everything works. So as long as you keep updating I'll keep flashing. Thank you for this...

All I really know of are the improved quick settings features, a few animations, new security, HD voice calling, dual sim support, some contact app tweaks, and other various system tweaks. This is Android 5.1, I'm not sure of it but I think the memory leak is rumored to be fixed in Android 5.1.1.
Thanks for posting this nightlies up. Flashed on TMO latest GPE 5.1 firmware. Everything is working smooth.
Appreciate the builds. Having trouble with the included messaging app receiving MMS. Works fine with Hangouts though. Running it on Verizon. All else is smooth for my use.

There was absolutely nothing for our device merged since I updated last. So I'm going to cherry-pick a few things so at least there will be an update worth downloading. I'll be updating tomorrow morning instead of tonight.
I added an updated build with a few cherry-picks including the ability to change your screen density, for those who like to do that sort of thing.
Just read the title!
All of them have bugs. This makes all of them not worthy for daily-use for me. Not that other ROMs doesn't have, but having to use a workaround to use flash is a big deal to me.
I agree with ^above, there are no really stable roms right now. I am using AICP as daily, and I experience random **** all the time. It's kind of frustrating, but it won't change because there are no dedicated people to work on this device. All the "maintainers" do half-assed jobs, they don't really care about MotoX 2013. Kind of understandable, because it's not a very popular device, and it's hard to work with because of the custom hardware.

Missing video recording is a dealbreaker to me. Torchlight too. Almost every other bug I don't care, but those 2 are important to me. And I don't like RR or any ROM that adds too much customization options, most of them to me are either redundant or useless.
So what is the most stable rom atm?
Can we conclude official cm12.1 to be the most stable rom for ghost?

Yes, the unique problem i've faced is gps cant locking satellites, but is a very well documented problem in all cm roms since ever and its fixable if u get gps lock on ur device BEFORE flashing a rom and shutting it off without deactivating locations.

I'm running RR on a 1056 and so far it's been perfectly stable. No crashes, no random reboots, everything's worked out of the box. And I actually prefer the stock Chromium-based browser to actual Chrome, it's faster.
Hello everyone, I'm sort of a newbie in ROM building, and decided to compile ParanoidAndroid nougat for hammerhead. I followed the instructions from - https://github.com/AOSPA/manifest
Once I run ./rom-build.sh hammerhead, it runs for about 15 seconds before giving me the error in the screenshot attached.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Wow I just realised those guys are still dead. They release a new version every 2 major Android releases. ? Even amateurs Devs (compared to them) release ROMs far more often. A bunch of ?s.

They're working daily on that. you're free to compile and if you're smart enough you can successfully compile it :silly:

You'll need some knowledge to compile it. You need to import some features from bullhead or angler and adapt it.. It's kinda hard especially if you're starting. I advice you to start building AOSP first and learn from that.

Yo you are so ungrateful, show some respect! The only clown is you.
You clearly know nothing about what you are talking about. The Dev's behind AOSPA want to bring a quality ROM, they don't want to rush thing to take a step back in the Custom ROM scene and bring a buggy ROM, so instead they take their time to come up with something nice and good (probably). How fast a Dev can bring up a ROM and update it tells nothing about the quality of the ROM. AOSPA was awesome back in the JellyBean and KitKat days, I'm sure their Dev team is working hard to get back on that level. Instead of whining about them being slow with releasing, you could give them some help or just give it some time and be patience to see with what they are coming up with.

It was my primary ROM for YEARS. There are other ROMs that cannot achieve their quality and yet I haven't encountered any bugs at all on those ROMs. How come?

Fair question, maybe it's because those ROM's you talk about made a decision between bringing quality or fixing bugs fast. PA probably goes for bringing a quality ROM instead of rushing on things to fix bugs and bring a "half work" ROM. Who knows? I guess we will see eventually
