I was running Kitkat rooted with safestrap. Just did a backup and then did a factory wipe. I then click the wipe option to the right and then it rebooted and was stuck in a boot loop. I can get to recovery mode and tried doing a factory wipe. It now just sticks at Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen. Did I brick my phone? What can I do to get it booting again?
Please help
Thanks
Travis

Hi. Would be great if anyone could help as I bricked[?] my phone earlier today.
So here's what happened.
I was on SweetRomV1 JB previously and wanted to flash back to ICS RRv12.
So I stupidly flashed Abyss Kernel from my recovery forgetting that it doesn't support JB rom.
So the CWM started refreshing itself, stopping me from surfing the menu up and down.
I pulled out the battery, place it back in. The phone started up, but the screen was empty/blank/black.
Searched on the net then I realized Abyss Kernel doesn't support JB.
So under some forumer advice, I flashed a Stock ICS Rom using PC odin.
This time, I can access recovery with no problem. However I'm still stuck, the phone is not rebooting.
I'm stuck at the Samsung logo.
So I decided to flash a new kernel using PC odin and a new rom.
I flashed SpeedMod K3-15 using Pc odin and in recovery, I flashed the RRv12 rom.
Now it's still loading the boot animation.
I'm really at a loss now. Can anyone help?
I can access download mode and recovery. But I can't place files into my ext_sd because I can't boot up my phone.
Can anyone help me to get my phone working again?
Thanks in advance.
Flash stock gb via pc odin and work from there. The problem is you flashed incompatible kernels. The flash back to original should be fine.

I did it last night. I'm able to boot up now and I'm in RRv12 now. However, what just happened was, I changed to a fresh battery to charge it.
When I boot up, it shows that battery is disconnected. So I did a power off, and pulled out the battery. Used the method online, dropped the battery from around 2 feet high.
When I place the battery in again, I'm stuck AGAIN at the boot animation.
Any help?
My phone just went into a boot loop. I have got into recovery and try to do wipe data/factory reset then reboot the phone it still goes into the boot loop. Help would be very much appreciated.

It could also be an app. For example the installation of LBE Privacy Guard which worked fine on GingerBread caused a bootloop on Cyanogenmod 10.1 as it doesn't work on the newer versions.
If it is an app, it is most probably a root app.
EDIT: If you have to flash a new ROM, I would suggest this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39339443
Im asking this question for my friend and this is how it happens. So my friends mom is using her phone and she went into whatsapp but it went on a random reboot. Its stucked on on the inital Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 bootscreen. IT DOESNT GOES TO BOOTSPLASH SAMSUNG SCREEN. I tried to go to recovery to wipe data/ factory reset and wipe cache but the Android Bot gear loading takes up forever. I CAN GO TO DOWNLOADING MODE FINE. Keep in mind that the phone is pure stock rom and kernel and recovery. What Can I do?

You may want to try flashing a new ROM stock or custom with odin seems to be your only choice. Follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20963707 and you should be able to get the phone working again. Make sure not to factory wipe phone if on ICS stock ROM and kernel

That would work great if his phone was rooted and had custom recovery as he said it is stock ROM stock kernel and stock recovery so just flashing the ROM would not work.

i got similar issue with mr ironman here..
GT-N7000 with stock ICS update..
did factory reset, (didnt update to ICS) install latest whatsapp then after awhile it freeze..
so now its stuck at bootscreen logo..
any advise on how to get it back working?
and may i know why cannot factory reset if on ICS?
Hey guys. Been around for a while and have never encounted this problem. I went to restore back to stock firmware after running a custom rom.. both 4.3... I added the firmware to odin. It failed before it started and rebooted th phone. Figured out that the firmware I downloaded must of been corrupt/incompletly downloaded.. stuck on samsung boot logo.. tried to restore a fresh complete rom but still stuck on boot logo.. is there something I can do to fix it other than sen it in.

You don't mention recovery .
Usual would be to format sdcard system data cache boot to download mode and flash stock rom .
Yeah i have done all that
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
After install, try pulling the battery during boot then boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset/data wipe.
Has worked for some

really wish I could afford to get this phone fixed I miss this phone and have gone back to an old crappy galaxy ace
My phone was unlocked and rooted but running the factory 5.1 ROM. I had a 5.1.1 update this morning but it erred during install. I removed the root using Kingo Root and that's when the endless boot looping began. It appears as if my phone now both locked and unrooted but won't complete the boot process.
I tried unlocking the phone again using Nexus Root Toolkit but it tries to boot the phone, so I can turn on USB Debugging maybe, which doesn't work so I can't find a way to unlock my phone at this point.
I tried flashing a factory image using Nexus Root Toolkit and get the below errors. Nothing changes after completion.
TWRP will not install, I assume because the phone is currently locked.
Can somebody please give me some options to try? I'll do whatever works. I don't mind stock rom, I don't mind a custom ROM. Anything that works is OK with me.
I would love to get TWRP on there if possible.
I think my first step should be to get the phone unlocked again but is there a way to do it with a phone that boot loops constantly?
Thanks.
Also, doing a wipe and reset in recovery didn't help at all.
If fastboot format userdata and cache doesn't fix it, there's nothing you can do.
This is the image I get when I try to unlock using Nexus Root Toolkit. Obviously the boot loop starts and I'm unable to complete the unlocking procedure.

I'll give that a shot now.
Will I be able to install it on a locked phone?
Thanks.

Did you fastboot format userdata and fastboot format cache? If so all you can do is send it repair.

Think what you will. But the answer is no.
I have two options in recovery; Wipe Cache Partition & Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
I've done both and it still boot loops.
So this phone needs to go in to the shop for service?

If you don't even know what phone this is, please stop giving advice and leave it to the people who know the phone and the options.
1) following incorrect and useless advice wastes time
2) it detracts from real advice
3) is dangerous
Sry but i cant find the device name somewhere

Sorry my bad. I just used fastboot to format userdata and cache. Restarted phone, still in boot loop animation now.
Never said that this is one
Lol

fastboot format userdata and cache is your only option.
It appears that the boot loop is still present after fastboot formats.
There is nothing else I can try, correct?
If not, I'll take it in.
