What do you mean by arabic support? Arabic keyboard is included. Just add it.

Find or cook a custom rom using KSA-G900IDVU1AND2-20140516172323.zip. That's G900I (i not L) from Saudi. Should suit your need.

Hi brother,
It takes some time but i think it is worth the trouble.
First get the firmware you want, in your case G900I from SamMobile resources.
It will be a .zip file and you extract it resulting in a file ended by .tar.md5
That file you can extract it with winrar and inside there are lots of files, but you will need only two: boot.img and system.img.ext4
You will need to extract the system.img.ext4 with ImgExtractor, to a folder named system.
Using the simple mysystem.zip attached, you copy the boot.img and the system folder into this zip file.
Now copy this zip file to your phone´s external SdCard.
This done you will need:
To root your phone, if not done yet.
And install Safestrap Recovery in your phone.
Reboot your phone in the new safestrap recovery and install the zip you did and saved into the sdcard.
Uninstall Safestrap Recovery.
Hope this helps, best regards

hey bother.
did you manage to find a solution?
i have a G900A which has a 900f Firmware installed on it.
i don't know how did this happen but someway it did.
i'm running kitkat 4.4.2 and want to update it to marshmallow 6.0.1
i can only do that with a G900A firmware because i have a locked bootloader of G900A.
now that you have A G900A firmware, i want to ask you about this,
can you actually type in arabic ?
and does arabic language shows complete i mean it isn't cut off ? right?

[ROM][SM-G900X] Custom Firmware for SM-G900X Live Demo Unit

Hello to you guys,
with this thread I wanna help people who get a Live Demo Unit of Galaxy S5 and wanna "unlock" it, removing Retail Mode and getting an official firmware on it. A Live Demo Unit is recognizable cause the phone has an "X" after the "SM-G900" signature.
Before start explain, I wanna remember to all that with a Live Demo Unit YOU CAN'T DO PHONE CALLS or TEXT MESSAGING due to its nature. So, this custom friwmare will transform your Live Demo Unit in a beautiful and complete Galaxy S5 "WiFi Version" .
Ok, lets do this!
What you need for a great job is:
Samsung USB Drivers on your PC
Odin, downloadable from here http://odindownload.com/ (vers. 3.09)
TWRP Recovery, .tar extension (here is the link for the download http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/klte)
Firwmare of your country. You can get it form sammobile.com. I've done this with the G900F version and I've tested only with it but I think this kind of guide works for all devices. Be sure to download the correct Firmware of your device!!
A program named "cgywin" for create your own firmware for the Live Demo Unit http://cygwin.com/setup.exe
Do this AT YOUR OWN RISK!! If you're not sure to have understand something, please do not go any further.
Ok, so let's start to explain what to do. If you'll follow step by step this procedure, you'll reach the goal for sure
First, I think is better to do a good and complete backup of your actual firmware and system. To do that follow those steps:
Install Samsung USB driver in your PC (if you don't have it already). Be sure that the phone is visible by your PC.
Turn off the device and go into Download mode (pressing VolDown+Home+Power).
Open Odin and connect your device to the PC.
Now flash the TWRP Recovery (select "AP" voice on Odin and choose TWRP .tar file you have already downloaded)
Ok, now you can do a Nandroid backup of your entire phone, including system, with Recovery. So, turn off the device and go into Recovery, then choose "Backup" and flag ALL the voices (so you'll be sure to backup all). Save it in external MicroSD so you can get it simply if you need it.
After the complete backup, it's time to "prepare" the custom firmware:
Install cgywin (for a complete guide for How To Install this program, Google it)
Download the right firmware for your device
Once file is downloaded you will have something looking like this G900FXXU1ANCE_G900FITV1ANC7_ITV (this is the one I've used)
Extract the .zip file to get an .md5
Rename it with like ldu900x.tar
Go into the folder were you've install cgywin and put the ldu900x.tar here
Now, launch cgywin.exe and type those command
$ tar --delete --file=ldu900x.tar NON-HLOS.bin
$ tar --delete --file=ldu900x.tar modem.bin
After that, the ldu900x should have only those files on it:
- boot.img
- cache.img.ext4
- hidden.img.ext4
- recovery.img
- system.img.ext4
If there are other files that are not those I've checked above, please delete them using the command $ tar --delete --file=samrom.tar FileName on cgywin as explained. The final .tar file gotta have only those 5 files I've listed above.
Once the final ldu900x.tar is ready, you can flash it with Odin.
Before the flash, use TWRP for a TOTAL WIPE of the device (including system but do not wipe the extSDcard). This is for to be sure that the device will be ready for a good and clear flash.
After the flash with Odin, reflash the TWRP Recovery (following the steps above) so you can do other backup or restore the old firmware if you need it.
Hope this guide can help all the guys who need to use their LDU completely (excluding calls and SMS as said). Personally my LDU doesn't have Private Mode, Finger Scanner, S-Health, UltraPowerSavingMode and other stuff, but with this "custom" firmware made by myself, now works ALL! :victory:
Bugs: The only thing that does not work here is the upgrading of SHealth Services that does not allow to upgrade it to SHealth 3.1 version. If anyone know how to solve this I appreciate
Thank you guys for your support and thanks to:
@Dees_Troy for TWRP
@Sirus2012 for have opened the way
@jopa7 for suggestions

You can install a superpower rom, mate. Install omega with omega kernel after root with chain CF auto root and install TRWP. Install latest omega zip via trwp chosing omega kernel too. You will get 37000 antutu score or more . By the way, GPS signal works

BUT: IT WILL MAKE KNOX WARRANTY VOID 1.
If anyone else is interested to try:
Download Mode: (VolDn+Home+Power, VolUp)
Odin PDA (AP): cf-auto-root-sm_g800f-kminilte-xxu1ang7.tar.md5

Hi,
No there is no howto beyond the standard how to make a custom rom and kernel using android kitchen. I simply analysed the recovery image in CF-Auto-Root and took the hardware relevant files and replaced them with those from the stock recovery of SM-G800F, and set the filesystems and sizes appropriately. Most of the magic happens in executable binaries made by Chainfire that are run automatically when recovery mode is started. I do not have their source code.
Cheers.

Hi,
The rooting file above should work even on G800FXXU1ANGE. First flash the new firmware normally via Odin. Then after reboot flash the CF-auto-root from above. Only in the last step to get the original recovery back you need to get that file out of the new firmware package.
I can tell you how to make a odin flashable file with just the original recovery under linux. Copy the original tar.md5 file to /tmp and do the following commands
Code:
tar -xf your_original_firmware.tar.md5
tar -c -H ustar recovery.img > G800ForiginalrecoveryXXU1ANGE.tar
md5sum -t G800ForiginalrecoveryXXU1ANGE.tar >> G800ForiginalrecoveryXXU1ANGE.tar
mv G800ForiginalrecoveryXXU1ANGE.tar G800ForiginalrecoveryXXU1ANGE.tar.md5
I hope this helps.
Cheers.

Hi,
The last step does not remove root. It reinstates the original recovery partition, so in download mode it goes back to everything official instead of custom. One might need the recovery if something goes wrong and one wants to do a data wipe or cache wipe.

How did you flash COD6? Did you use ODIN or if not, can you point me to where you got the file from? language.xml is not part of COD6 so I am guessing some app you installed may have installed it, not COD6.
If I could get the file I could make a flashable zip for you to re-install it but not finding much info on language.xml.

By chance did you flash to EchoeRom? language.xml is an S6 file and is part of the EchoeRom.
I have the file so I can make a flashable zip for you but I am not sure what all is dependent on that file since it isn't part of our COD6 firmware.
Just so you have the file in case you want to use a root explorer yourself to put it back in the csc folder.
Curtsy of the EchoeRom. This is not a flashable zip, just the file itself. I also have the file from the S6 system dump and haven't looked at it to see if there is any difference.

Need some advice

Okay guys I think I've exhausted all of my options here's the short version of what's going on. I started the OTA update on my s5 and it got interrupted ( I don't really know how ) and it won't go past the Samsung boot screen (and it now says custom with an unlocked pad). After doing extensive research and downloads I can get the phone into Odin mode and into recovery mode. I tried flashing the stock rom, down grade roms and kernels of all variants through Odin and through recovery with no luck . Odin fails at secure system check and stock recovery says failed to find /system build.prop (no such file or directory). Viewing the recovery log It says my os is (oc4) and my bootloader is (oi5) no help from Samsung or AT&T. In Odin I am able to flash the oc4 kernel, modem and stock partitions. It says current binary SAMSUNG official system status custom Knox warranty void 0x0
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

OK I flashed all of those files with no errors. All 4 took perfect. Still stuck though. Could you upload the system file? An .md5 system file. I think it's system.ext4 when I watch odin flash. Thank you again for all your help.

here you go
step 1 : Download all 14 parts according to order and put them into a new folder
step 2 : download winrar and install it if you already have skip it
step 3 : open part 1 in winrar and extract it , it will auto detect all 14 parts
finally you will have the file , it took me so many hours to upload the full file .
Cheers

It didn't work. Do you have any other suggestions or do you knew how to or can upload the kernel md5, modem md5, recovery md5, or can you do the full rom? Sorry to be such a pain but I just don't know what else to do. Ya know getting any help around is like pulling teeth.

hey syedrazaabbas im having the exact same problem. i flashed the files you kindly provided and same problem wont flash the system file. Im pretty compident with programs and phones so if there is a program i can use i will make a .tar.md5 oidin file myself if it is posible to do. thanks again, sorry i also searched and searched. it seems as if the att S5 section of XDA is a ghost town, i know it can be over whelming at times (i know im a mechanic and deal with my fair share) but i dont beleve in not helping if i have the means to do so.

thanks for your reply
but what is the name of file for update from the above files ??
Phone works with the whole Zip package. it will extract it and do the update itself after you select the file in recovery mode.
