Hello Experts.
I have HTC , HD7.
Now I have Custom Rom "Deepshining" installed in my mobile.
How can I update to official WP7.8.
can I update without any problem, or should I return back to WP7.5
I tried Zune, and cable trick, without any result.
Please help in steps

I think you can't because as I have the same sate with a Samsung Omnia 7
I do not get official update.
More... I think there is NO update 7.8 for HD7 because I have one and nothing on the air by now
First switch to OSPL, then downgrade to official 7.5, then update to 7.8 using SevenEighter.

presumably because you have Deepshining currently installed... your Schubert is already XSPL'd.
just flash a Custom ROM with WP7.8 already installed.
else
you could try updating via WP7.8 CABs.
unsure if dotcompt disabled CAB updating or not, though.
As far as I know deepshining is incompatible with .cab updating. And is not updateable through Zune. So the answer is no, you can't update this way.
But why would you like to be on official ROM anyways? I would have gotten rid of my HD7's long ago and switched to Android if they weren't with custom ROMs. IMHO our phones are nearly crippled with the official stuff. But I guess this is just my own personal point of view.

Yes you can update to 7.8 just search seveneighter that is an update program for every wp7 phone

I tried to use CAB filed, but it is not working.

i had the same problem and i downgraded by flashing back to 7.5 but my phone doesnt get last 7.5 update even.
according to link below I am supposed to have Update 7.10.8773.98 before 7.8 update but my version is still Update 7.10.8107.79
will this be any problem to use that seveneighter if i dont have that update in between. or 7.8 update includes already that update.

I have the same phone. (T-mobile with Dynamics ROM).
If by official you mean HTC's version, then no, you will never get it because HTC has abandoned it (sounds like HTC, doesn't it).
You also said you want WP 7.8 for Arabic support -- but I thought 7.8 does NOT have Arabic (and may never get it unless M$ changes their mind).

It did work with my HD7S when I tried the SevenEighter from windowsphonehacker.com
I just hope 7.8 doesn't close any jailbreaking or unlocking loopholes.

I will flash this phone with final Lumia amber but when i tried searching the product code to Nokia Care Suite, it say's the no available firmware for this product code. Is there anyway, I can change the product code of my Lumia 925 so i could download different variants? or Can I flash this to the final Amber update. Please help

you can disconnect your phone from pc and type a Product Code of another device . then download ROM for another device and flash it.
It do not change your product id but you flashed your phone with another phone rom

you can use nokia care suite to flash your phone even rom's product different than yours
what do,you mean about dev rom ? Can you give me a link to check it

I have tried the nokia care suite 5.0 but it cannot detect my Lumia 925. I don't know if the nokia care suite that I am using support Lumia 925. What is the most recent nokia care suite 5.0 that i can Download in the internet.

Your Nokia care suite have other Lumia devices ?
Nokia care suite can detect my lumia 920 but not lumia 925.

in newer versions Product Support Tool is only available for Pro users !

Hi there,
I have a Nokia Lumia 925 (from Italy) that I use as spare phone. I recently updated my mobile to WP Cyan 8.1 (official, OTA update) and, since then, every now and then the phone freezes. Something that it has never happened with the previous firmware (if i'm not wrong, the WP 8.0 - Black one).
Already tried hard reset and keeping the phone without apps installed, but it still freezes every now and then. Definitely, want to downgrade to the previous firmware version.
Is there any chance to do it?
With the software I have (NSU, NSR) I can only re-install the existing firmware ..but it did not help.
Which software can I use, and where I can get the firmware to put it back to the old version (WP 8.0) ?

I upload to you 059S726 RM-892 VAR IT CV BLACK, in version Lumia Black firmware (3051.40000.1345.1005) and WP8.0 GDR3 OS.
Download and unzip the 059S726_RM892_3051.40000.1345.1005.rar archive. This will give you a folder named "rm-892" that you must moved in the directory/path "C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products" (to access this directory/path, you must enable the files and folders hidden). If Windows tells you that the file already exists in this directory/path, simply replace it with the one you just unzip. Then, simply follow this tutorial in the "FLASH THE PRODUCT CODE" part.

Mmmmmh.... Minor issue. Apparently I am not getting any update from the store. I don't know if that's because every app is already updated, or if there is any other reason for that....

If I am not wrong, the release order was Black --> Amber --> Cyan.
Amber had, as far as I remember, some features that I found useful.

Hello guys , i have a Lumia 1320 (country variant) running Lumia Cyan (I didn't got the Denim update) . I live in Romania and my other friend that has the same phone has the Windows Denim . I contacted microsoft support but they couldn't tell me why i didn't got the update.

Do you have Preview for developers installed and enabled? My Lumia 920 didnt get it either until I disabled Preview for developers.
Sometimes, you have to disable Preview for Developers in order to receive further updates. If you could tell us the OS build, that may help us out.
Another way to get the Denim update is to use the Lumia Software Recovery and simply flash to the latest ROM for your phone with Denim built in. Of course, this means that your current application/game states will be lost if you chose this route, but you'll be able to achieve your goal of obtaining the Denim update.
I know maybe too soon to question it but is it possible that nokia will give us Android 11?
